The hotel is very clean and well located, center of downtown

I stayed for one night at the Ramada and I really liked it! Our room was perfectly clean and the location of the hotel is great. You can walk to many restaurants and clubs. The only bad thing was the shower water: it was either too hot to handle or too cold.

Very good staff support. Getting to second floor with luggage was inconvenient, going to parking ramp, taking the elevator and crossing a bridge to the hotel. This was only slightly inconvenient, however. The room was spacious, sporting decorative wood trim, comfortable bed, clean bathroom.

Staff were great, very accommodating room was ready upon arrival, Ponce was very interesting to be in. Loved every minute there.

Quiet and very comfortable. It's located at a historic and colorful heart of the city.

Nice hotel, but new rooms have no character

Went to Ponce for a funeral, will never stay at this hotel again. If early check in is necessary forget about it. Checked in and did not like the condition of the room, requested another room and was told that no rooms were available. The girl at the front desk picked up a phone call for a room, she then began telling the caller that the rates for night […] were around $130 for room and that they had plenty of room available. "I guess I look like a gringo who doesn't speak Spanish" . Went to our rooms to settle in for the night and the bathrooms were dirty the floor looked like it was never cleaned and the bed was made but found stains and hairs on all of our beds. Went to the front desk to ask for another room Orr housekeeping to clean the rooms again and was told that nothing is available again and they couldn't do anything for us. I contacted AMEX and told them to get me the HELL out of there ASAP. Found a better hotels right across the plaza with cleaner rooms and better service. ( much safer too). Ramada ponce looks nice from the outside but once the shiny glare fades you see the truth. What a dump!!! Læs mere

Very comfortable hotel with large clean rooms. Located in the center of town right on the plaza and close to everything including transportation, restaurants, museums, etc. The outside patio/pool area is very attractive and attended by an efficient staff. Also includes a great restaurant and coffee shop. Off-street parking is convenient but not free. […] Could get a little noisy in the evening but hey it's in the center of town. The hotel is excellently located in the Parque de Bomba and the Catedral de Ponce. Upon driving into the hotel valet area the person manning the station was nowhere to be found. Only when we decided to drive ourselves to the parking garage did he come out. Although there was a bellmans pull cart at his station he suggested we drive to the front of the […] hotel to do our checkin. This would require we go in a square like drive since the streets are of a one way only direction. We proceded to park our vehicle and unload our bags ourselves. He missed out on a nice tip and the hotel missed out on the parking revenue. Arrival at the checkin station was 3 people at the front desk and only one person doing all the work. We retrieved our keys only to find out that they were not programmed properly and thus had to walk back to reset the keys. Our second attempt to enter the room was succesful only to find stains on the bedspread, missing soap dishes in the shower and remote controls that are not compatible with the tv provided. Although it was just myself and my wife we were provded a room with 2 queens?? I took pictures of the room and discussed this with the manager who then assigned another room and a staffer to open the room for us to make sure we liked it (positive). The room was a king bed but with the same missing features and unpleasant stains. Our third visit to the same manager with the staffer and her expression of surprise as to our find revealed that this is a management team that is not viewing their inventory and the items that need replacement costs $5.00 at a local home depot. We decided to eat at the Lola's restaurant and were treated to a culinary delightful evening under the stars. The food was above average than some criticically acclaimed restaurants we have dined in and the prices surprisingly moderate. Not sure if there were mosquitoes or bed bugs, but I was bitten all over while I was in the room/sleeping at night, and I never saw anything flying around, so... And you don't have control over the A/C in the room, because it's an historic structure, so by default it's set to 40F and seems to be reset every day, so even when you request they turn it […] up a few degrees, by the next day it's back down. There is no continental breakfast anymore, so don't pay for it. Wifi is free, so don't bother with that, either. There's only valet parking, and their hours are 11 AM to 10 PM, so if you get in late or leave early, your on your own, and the valet parking--as for all of all Ponce--is too small. Læs mere

The hotel is in a great location, close to all the historical sites, we stayed in the Colonial Side of the Hotel and it was a beautiful room, the only problem with the room was the air conditioner it only had 1 temperature frizzing and the thermostat didn’t work. Also the parking is a $10 daily charge that I didn’t find reasonable since your already […] paying for the stay. We stayed here for two nights and overall it was a good experience. I'll say the first impression wasn't the best. We arrived around 2:40pm and figured we'd be able to check in early and get settled. I walked in, said I was checking in, and the two women at the front desk looked at me like I was crazy. They said, "'Check in is at 3:00pm." Obviously […] I know that, but you're telling me NONE of the rooms were ready and it was already 2:40pm? The other woman backed her up by looking at her watch and saying, "Yeah check in will be around 3:00pm." If they had said that my particular room wasn't ready, I'd get it. But they simply were a little snooty about letting anyone "break the rules" and get in their room a little early. They didn't even bother to check, because, check in was at 3:00pm. So we cruised around a little to pass the time and when we returned, around 3:30pm, there was only one woman at the desk and she was more concerned about answering the phone than checking anyone in. There was a line of about 3 people and it took us about 30 minutes to actually check in. Now, if she would've let me check in earlier, I wouldn't have had that problem. Or she should've had more help, like at 2:40pm when they weren't doing anything. Other than that, the rooms were nice and quite large. Although the hotel was in a great spot, literally the center of Ponce, that area isn't very safe at night so we weren't really able to do much after dark. The hotel restaurant was a little pricey, definitely understaffed, but very good food and nice service. The hotel pool was freezing cold and the towels they provided were wet and were so small they looked like they were made for kids 5 and under. I'd recommend they hotel simply for location and price but I'd also recommend that you go in knowing this hotel does the minimum for you. Except that awesome girl at the hotel coffee shop. The hotel rate was exactly what I was looking for. It was near the theater and for that reason I stayed in this hotel. The only two problems that I really had was that just 2 persons in the whole hotel smiled at us: valet parking guy and a lady at the coffee shop. Sad really. And the other problem was at breakfast. Please be aware: CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST […] IS NOT INCLUDED! They didn't apologize but at least they gave us a coupon to eat at the coffee shop. Excellent Location , Wonderful Decor, Restaurant was a pleasure

The place looks brand new with great atmosphere and resort like feeling in the middle of the center of Ponce, The room was very clean and the staff attentive. The draw backs were the lack of hot water and the complimentary continental breakfast. Very disappointed when waking up in a luxury bedroom and bathroom and having no hot water! I was looking […] forward for a nice glass or orange juice only to discover it's Tang! We stayed in the older, colonial building and had an exquisite room, with all the amenities...and the rate was excellent. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Ponce for a few days.

The Lola restaurant at the hotel was excellent and the price was reasonable for a hotel restaurant. The room was clean. The water from the shower was weak and very difficult to rinse off the shampoo. The hotel is right next to some of the tourist attractions in Ponce, such as the cathedral, the old fire house and the historic museum. We opted for a colonial room with a (shared) balcony facing the cathedral. The room was spacious and very wel maintained. The hotel has a convenient valet parking for a small additional fee.

Wow! What a goregous hotel in the middle of Ponce. I was not expecting such a beautiful space, both, in-room and public areas. Pair that with an awesome rate, I would definitely recommend this place. Nice meal at the restaurant. Additional notes: complementary breakfast. Valet parking only.

Plus is the hotel location which is right in the middle of old Ponce..very pretty across from the town plaza. Minus is quality of bathroom. If a big bathroom is a must for you, then this may be not the place (note that we stayed in the economy room).

The Water Heater of the rooms is never working, we have to contact the Front Desk everytime for that. Last time there was'nt any internet conection in our room or any telephone service, they said they would change us to another room and they never did. get a room on the 5th floor for the view of the mountains. It will cost more money but it is worth it. If you can afford it get the suite. The hotel has two sections, an old and new. The old section is more elegant.

Hhotel staff was very helpful, the hotel is in a perfectly centralized location. The restaurant and the valet parking attendents were very polite and helfpful. I would stay at this hotel again and most certainly recommend it to family and friends.

Excelente localización en el corazón de la ciudad de Ponce, PR. Aún cuando es un Hotel pequeño tiene casi todas las amenidades de los grandes hoteles y hasta una piscina. El Hotel estaba bien limpio así como la habitación en que nos quedamos. Lo único que tendría que mejorar sería que el agua caliente se mantenga caliente en todo momento. El personal […] fue bien atento y hasta se tomó el tiempo en dirigirme y hacerme un mapa hacia mi destino el cual resultó un completo éxito. Definitivamente me volvería a quedar en el Ramada Ponce. Excellent location in the heart of the city of Ponce, PR. Although it is a small hotel has almost all the amenities of large hotels and even a pool. The Hotel was very clean and the room where we stayed. All you have to improve the hot water would be kept warm at all times. The staff was well aware and even took the time to address and make me a map to my destination which was a complete success. I would definitely stay again at the Ramada Ponce. Læs mere

For business or a short stay in a historic town, this is by far, the best hotel in Ponce... Even better than the Ponce Hilton.

Perfect

It is not a 3.5 hotel. Secluded in a fairly quiet downtown area. Room was clean and very comfortable but bathroom was not clean, had to wait a VERY LONG time for hot water to come out in shower. The hotel's restaurant: "LOLA's" was overall excellent. There is a valet parking, $10 overnight for guests and $5 for visitors???? Guests should have priority, […] my car was parked outside and somebody "pee" on it, I had to have it washed for an extra $25. Læs mere

This is a great, older, but in great shape, historic hotel. Wonderful location, right on the Ponce main square, just steps to Guadelupe Cathedral. Friendly staff and a great on-site restaurant (Lola). Parking is only by valet for overnight.

We spent 4 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed our visit. The colonial room was very large with a spacious modern bathroom. As it was summer the air conditioning was very important. The adjustable thermostat was set at 68 degrees and the room was very comfortable. The cable tv was easy to operate. The hotel is located right on the plaza and from […] the lobby, you can see the cathedral and fountains. A walk across the plaza finds you at the parques de bombas (old firehouse). Across from it is a wonderful ice cream shop which makes all of its fruit flavored ice creams. The shop was open every day until 12PM so we enjoyed it each night. There are numerous restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. If you want fast food, there is Burger King and Churches Fried Chicken down the block from the hotel as well as a Chinese takeaway. The desk clerks were great giving us suggestions on places to eat. All and all I highly recommend this hotel. The only area that I found lacking was the breakfast buffet. The hotel lobby is beautifuly done in esquisite woods nice paintings adorn the walls of the upper and lower lobby. Excellent location for my purposes. The AC needs to be redesigned and properly executed.

Sa situation centrale exceptionnelle est censée excuser tout le reste : sols d'une propreté plus que douteuse, robinetterie d'un autre âge (il faut laisser couler la douche pour avoir de l'eau chaude au lavabo), absolument rien dans la salle de bain pour poser les objets de toilette, wifi fantaisiste, monte-charge bruyant qu'on entend depuis la chambre, […] etc... il suffit de savoir s'adapter ! Direkt am Hauptplatz gelegen, können die schönen Altstadtgebäude und Einkaufsstrassen zu Fuss begehen werden. Das Hotel hat ein gutes Restaurant. Dies ist auch nötig, weil in der Innenstadt praktisch ab 18 h das Leben zum Erliegen kommt, dh fast alle Restaurants geschlossen sind. Empfehlenswert!

Es un hotel que esta centrico,comodo , con un personal muy atento. Quede muy complacida y volveria a quedarme en el hotel. Me encanta la decoracion que tiene ylas area que tiene para descanso muy agradables.

El Hotel esta bien accesible a muchos lugares históricos y atracciones. Ademas que te proveen un mapa pero el que te dan en el parque de Bombas es mas completo tiene los horarios, teléfonos. Si quieres pasar un fin de semana relax, tranquilo y algo diferente pues te lo recomiendo. El personal es muy atento.

ECONOMICO, BUENA APARIENCIA, BUEN SERVICIO, BUENAS FACILIDADES, LO RECOMIENDO..!!
