Aloft Houston by the Galleria - Houston

The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the walls are very thin. We could hear the couple in the room next to us talking all night.

I have stayed twice at the Aloft in Dallas and this was my first time at the one in Houston. The hotel is very hip and appealing to the senses which is why we chose this chain. Overall things were fine. We had to switch rooms due to the loud noises in our neighboring room. The walls really seem paper thin at times. The staff quickly accommodated us […] with a new room. The website says we had to pay for self parking which is kind of silly; they forgot to charge us so I was not too upset. I love the soap they have. Its called Bliss and it is pretty expensive if you look for it online. An odd complaint is the way the lights are set up in the bathroom. if you have to get up at night to use the facilities you almost have to blind anyone sleeping with the bathroom light. Maybe a separate light in the toilet would be useful. I really would not hesitate to stay here again. The good outweighs the bad. Læs mere

Aloft has the formula down...it's a very modern hotel with great amenities and very clean and comfy. Nice bar...pool table. Lots of good restaurants in the area.

We stayed in a 2 queen handicapped room on the 8th floor for 4 nights. Very clean, spacious, nice view. Self parking was convenient as we had multiple errands to run each day. Great location to access all parts of central Houston and traffic was much less than I had feared. Staff friendly and quick to respond when we initially had difficulty accessing […] the internet or needed more towels. Breakfast options were disappointing. Room service was from a nearby restaurant (Capital Grill) and more expensive than we could afford. Truluck's seafood is just across the street and we HIGHLY RECOMMEND catching their happy hour for seafood specials which were very reasonably priced for the excellent quality. Læs mere

I went to the Microsoft Convention on March 18th thru 21st. This place was very nice inside and out. Great views and friendly people. I would definitely recommend this to all my friends.

The location is very contemporary. I love staying at contemporary locations. However, this location is very dark in color, everywheres. I'm use to staying in luxury contemporary locations. The staff was wonderful!! The elevators was very slow. The mirror in my room needed repair and the ceilings are not finished throughout the entire hotel. Location […] is convenient to the Galleria. I didn't know Aloft allowed large dogs in the hotel rooms. It rained nonstop the weekend of our stay and there were several dogs on our floor. So the floor really smelled like wet dog the entire time. The dogs barked thru the night as well. Aloft Houston Galleria is an excellent choice! We went to Houston for a quick weekend trip and this hotel was super convenient, very close to eateries and shopping at the Galleria. Hotel staff were extremely friendly! Wish we would have had a better view but overall...very nice! Houston traffic can be a monster...especially in the area where Aloft […] is located. My wife and I really enjoyed our room and the short distance between all of the Houston attractions and Galleria restaurants and activities (day and night).

My traveling companion said they should name this place the d-loft. It was like a hotel by IKEA. Bathroom floor and bathroom was dirty as in never mopped. Beds were O.K. not as good as Hilton or Marriot.

Speectacular hotel! I'm coming back here everytime! Me and my gf loved everything. It makes up for the $14 of parking. Stay here u will love it! even the guests Are friendly too.

We stayed at Aloft for our wedding anniversary, and could not have been happier. Love the quirky, non cookie-cutter design and feel of the place. Beds were super comfortable, rooms extra clean, views from the room were fantastic and the staff super accomodating. Complimentary bottled water and Bliss bath borduct smore than make up for the self parking […] fee. Close to lots of fun things to do in the Galleria area, Even the walls being slightly on the thin side didn't bother us. We stayed for the weekend and had a great stay. My toliet had an issue that was corrected right away in minutes. The staff was very helpful and professional as well as the parking attendants. I would certainly stay at this location again and recommend it to friends and family.

Noisy room on Westheimer, noisy inside air unit like a flea bag motel. Both mornings there was no hot water. Got back to hotel at 4:00pm after long day at convention, found out bar did not open till 5:00. Rooms were not cheap, will not stay here again.

Great place to stay!!!

I stayed at the Aloft Houston Galleria on a business trip. I thought the hotel was great and met all my requirements- clean, accessible, and affordable. The hotel is not for everyone- it's def slanted towards a younger demographic. Some reviewers have complained about the 'Ikea' type decor, but frankly that's what I liked about it. It was hip w/o being […] pretentious. I also liked the hotel's environment-friendly features, like the soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower. Again, not to everyone's taste, but I say why waste plastic in all those little travel bottles of the stuff? Also had a nice grab-n-go cafe in the lobby. Overnight parking was convenient in the attached garage, but was also $22. So just be aware. Læs mere

great hotel!

This Hotel was both beautiful and modern. Everyone was nice, the room was great, and the view of Houston's city lights up high from the room was captivating. The only drawback was the somewhat expensive self parking and tax, don't forget to include it in your overall total. But still a good value overall.

My husband and I had such a great stay at this hotel. Very contemporary, comfortable, well furnished, and just plain ol' nice! We are definitely going to stay there again! Very soon! Already talking about it our next stay at this hotel! Go there, you'll love it!

The hotel is in a great location. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the water varied from hot to cold throughout taking a shower.

The bar looked awesome and social as a hang out spot regardless if you were staying in the hotel or not. I normally don't stay where I have to pay to park but it was worth my stay and extremely convenient. The room had a very modern set up and I really liked the restroom area. I especially liked the mirror door that made the area look bigger than what […] it actually was. The appliances were all up to date, and the room was very accomodating, with a mini fridge, and usb and hdmi connections for numerous for appliances. I enjoyed my stay and I'd stay there again if I couldn't get around staying somewhere with cheaper or free parking. Læs mere

The fee to self park my car in the hotel garage was $14. I feel that it would have been nice to have known this was the charge beforehand. I feel like it is a little steep considering you really have no other options in where you can park your car if you are staying overnight at the hotel.

I loved the hotel and it's appearance. The property was clean and well maintained. The only two complaints that I may have would be the price for parking your own car and the food options located within the property. Other than those items, we REALLY had a great time and found this property to be conveniently located and enjoyable.

We stayed one night here, and one night at the JW down the street. Our night at the Aloft was a last minute thing, but I wish we stayed at the Aloft both nights.

This hotel was a vey clean upscale hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Pay to park in the parking garage with limited space was the only negative. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel was sleek, very modern. Upon arrival we discovered the toilet didn't flush and we caled for service. It was repaired. We liked the glass shower surround but the glass door had a vertical gap and leaked water onto the floor. Someone was having a VERY LOUD slumber party all night long and that is our major complaint. My stay here was AWESOME!!!! My husband and I had a great overnight experience. From the customer service of the staff, to the wonderful feel of the bed. We live in the city but used this as a date night, overnight get away and we were thoroughly satisfied.

The Aloft Houston by the Galleria - had great service, great rooms and would definitely recommend to all my family and friends.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. The AC unit in this room was so loud it keep me wake.

Booked this hotel specifically because of indoor pool. However, pool was 'out of order' while we were there. We're given a handicapped room although we didn't request it. The extra room space was nice, but with the wheelchair accessible shower we ended up water all over the bathroom floor! Mini fridge didn't work but they replaced it right away. Pricey […] parking. I loved the Aloft hotel. The room was stylish and, more importantly, extremely clean and comfortable. Everything was new and modern. The only real downside I encountered was that the only place that offered room service was quite expensive. Other than that, it was a win!

We stayed in Aloft-Galleria Houston the week before Christmas to get away from our home in Spring, tx and do some shopping. Perfect! We were close to all of our shopping needs, and the experience was great. Rooms were small but adequate and very different than any hotel room I have stayed at. Worth a try!

The hotel was nice. Seemed a bit dark - but rooms were comfortable. You could walk to galleria but we drove as the walk plus packages seemed challenging.

Very nice and different. Only complaint was the shower set up... The water facet controls were odd and the fact that the toilet and the open shower were all on the same level i the room made it feel wierd.

I like the atmosphere and the room's Loft style. Everything looks clean and organized. It was nice to spend one night there. The location is very convenient and accessible to many restaurants, the Galeria, and other services. I will stay again when I get back to Houston!
