Tropicana Motel - Wildwood

This is your typical old motel. It has all of the basic comforts...bed, bathroom, TV, refrigerator, microwave, and AC.It was a block and a half away from the boardwalk and the beach. Actual keys and not key cards. All conveniences within walking distance. Nothing in the motel was new, but it was clean and affordable. You could walk in the neighborhood […] safely. I reserved as a last minute room and wasn't going to be staying long (2 nights). I had a special request of checking in overnight and was contacted by HOTELS.com and the motel to work things out. Motel employee worked things out for me so that I was able to check in at 4 in the morning. Excellent service. Only bad thing to say is that the bed is a little […] too firm but other than that would def recommend to friends. booked this room for my associate so they could stay the night and work the nexst day. told me the room was nasty. slept in his own sleeping bag on the bed.

Room was small, but so was price. The staff was nice. I would recommend this place, especially if you are on a tight budget. It is worth it!

Our deadbolt did not work and our door had a hole in it, found an old yogurt cup under our bed, and the sink leaked. However it was close to the beach and the piers so it had that going for it. I was really glad we just came down for the night.

The Tropicana was decent. Clean, great location and the staff was great. The rates were not bad my only complete was the noisey pipes. Otherwise, it's a good spot to stay at. Not bad for the money.

This motel was convenient to the boardwalk and beach, however the room was not clean at all. The parking tag from the previous guest was left in the room. I purposely left it there my entire stay. When I checked out, it was still there. The bathroom was not cleaned and the beds were not made at all during our 3 night stay. DISSATISFIED!!!

Within a block from the boardwalk which was about the only positive about our stay. The room was run down, carpet hasn't been washed in quite some time,mildew smell, bed comforters and blankets haven't been washed or are just permanantly stained. Very friendly greeting although at check in I learned that the pool was across the street at seperate hotel for share, wi-fi was not available in room but only outside on deck, and parking was limited to one car. We were one block from boardwalk and third peer. Had a great time and service was fantastic!

The Tropicana Motel is an older but well-maintained property, conveniently located near the heart of the Wildwood boardwalk and attractions. But its primary market appears to be twenty-somethings out for a good time. The second-floor terrace is "party central" with drinking and increasingly loud voices. Guests come in and out of nearby rooms well into […] the night. There is nobody at the front desk to call for some help, because there is nobody available past the late evening. If this profile fits your expectations, the Tropicana is probably as good as other, similar properties nearby. But if you want to get to bed before the wee hours of the morning, look elsewhere. form the former reviews i was a little concerned but like any thing in life some just expect to much and ended up this place turned out ok with our group of 4 . the cleaning lady was perfect and very polite so as the front desk the guy was very exceptional as we were here for bike week as i did notice he was very concerned with people's property (ie […] ) our bikes and other vehicles parked ther he did a lot of keeping a eye on things all the way in to late hours of evening and was right there if we needed anytihng we had bulb out in the room he was asap and when asked if we could have a few extra plastic cups he brought back a handfull . When checking in the room was very clean and smelled fresh and was very sanitary so as being said i feel they did a great job for our 4 day stay. Thank's will return again next year!! Pros: Front desk was very friendly and helpful Location was great. It is one block from the boardwalk There was not a pool but we did have access to the pool across the street They had a fridge and microwave Cons: There was no phone, ironing board, iron, blow dryer The room had horrible decor. Example: All the walls were blue except one that had a […] beige flower print and was nailed to the wall. There was no maid service. I had stayed there for 4 days my room was never cleaned once. The front desk was polite but was only there a certain time. If they were not there we were supposed to call a specific number in order to contact them (remember there is no phone in our room) They had limited parking spots. The towels we had in our room were ripped. Front desk consisted of only 1 person. The bathroom needs to be updated. The hotel should be updated. I stayed at this hotel because my previous reservation had been canceled. If I had done my research on this hotel I would have never stayed. Læs mere
