Hotel Godwin ligger perfekt for et ophold i Mumbai. Tagterrassen på 9. sal med udsigt over byen og havet er fantastisk. Vi blev opgraderet til et bedre værelse, og servicen var perfekt. Man føler sig hjemme og godt tilpas, og maden er god. Endvidere havde vi glæde af en chauffør, som holder til ved hotellet. The hotel is very conveniently situated near to the Gate of India. Rooms were very basic and none of our requests for double beds were met, the sheets were grey and really need replacing. Shower could do with a bit of a makeover as well. Breakfast was ok but I have had better. All in all a bit overpriced!

Breakfast really poor, tabels dirty not enough room to eat. Location is perfect. I was in room 107, street side but hardly any noise. Room was big, 2 sohvas, double bed, lots of windows. But... a bit dirty, dust here and there, little dark hair around etc. But overall it was all right. Would stay there again. Lovely roof top restoran-great view.

En route to Goa we decided to stay in Mumbai for 3 nights/2 days. We arrived very tired from a long flight at 2.30 a.m. and found the staff friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the buffet breakfast was delicious. It is very central in Colaba and they organised a very good taxi/tour guide for one day who spoke excellent English and knows Mumbai […] like the back of his hand. We were taken to everything worth seeing, including an interesting visit to the slums. The roof garden is beautiful with 360 degree views of the city, bay and sunsets. We ate there all 3 evenings as the food and the service are very good. After long days sight-seeing it was great to relax. It is an old hotel but has been kept in good condition and we would recommend this Hotel to anyone visiting Mumbai. Læs mere

I understand this is a budget hotel, but I'd say spend a little more and go somewhere else. The rooms didn't look like they'd been thoroughly cleaned in some time, and the quality of the hotel room was similar to a cheap motel rather than a 3-star hotel. Don't trust the pictures b/c there's a lot of photoshop going on. It is a very convenient location […] to some areas, but not sure that's reason enough to stay there. Læs mere

Clean, convenient, friendly staff, nice view on the high floor.

Good thing about the hotel is the location and and upscale neighbourhood,, walking diustance to colaba shopping district,, Taj mahal palace, gateway of india, american center,, dotn expect too much from the hotel rooms are big and beds are conortable with ariconditioning bathrooms are below average ,, TV sets from 1970's but there is nice roof top restaurant […] ,, full of tourists and young crowd Læs mere

I had a lot of misgivings as our friend had recommended another hotel which was sold out and we didn't know anything about Hotel Godwin. We were very happy however, excellent staff, clean room, hot showers, fabulous Indian & continental breakfast spread and the location is absolutely unbeatable. Our view overlooked the Taj and it was even better than […] staying at the Taj we thought! We recommend it readily to folks who have the same priorities we do: Clean rooms, friendly service, location excellence and a big bonus with a tasty breakfast, don't forget to ask for the fresh squeezed OJ! I'm not sure that this hotel deserves 3 stars. The rooms are pricey and cleanliness was not up to par compared to other hotels in the same class in which we stayed in India. However, there may be a lower standard in pricey Mumbai. It may be worth staying here for the location alone and the very nice roof. Location excellent, nice area, close to Gateway of India and other tourist areas. Leaving out the above, this is the worst hotel I have stopped in for years. No hairdryer in bathroom, no tea and coffee making facilities in room, high noise level outside during the night. Breakfast; don't bother unless you like cold fried eggs, powdered coffee and a […] container of boiled water to make your own. Went out for breakfast after the first morning; plenty of coffee shops close by where you can buy a decent cappuchino and croissant for less than €3. Whole hotel needs renovation and painting. 3 star is too high a grading; possibly 2 star OK Not cheap either. Læs mere

Staff was friendly and hotel in an excellent location

Located on a quiet block in Colaba, a short walk from the Taj, this place is old, but well maintained. The staff is very helpful and stored a piece of luggage for us for 2 weeks. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip. There are beautiful views from the upper floor rooms. The roof restaurant, Cloud Nine, was really nice. This is located in excellent location in Colaba, within walking distance to the Gateway and literally stone's throw from the Colaba Causeway shopping area. Rooms are not top quality, but good value. Aircon was a bit suspect in the triple room we had, double room was good. Wi-fi was good. Breakfast was excellent, very good choice of Indian breakfast, […] rather than the usual continental stuff. Helpful staff, good location in Colaba, good rate for Mumbai

This hotel had a a good central location our room was clean but dingy, seriously the whole hotel needs to be painted! also they used some mad industrial type bleach to clean bathroom so absolutely reeked of it. staff very nice. wish we had paid a few more rupees and gone somewhere nicer

Bodde i en av de finaste rummen på hotellet. Vacker utsikt och bekväma sängar. Gratis wifi och bra frukost (Indiska mått mätt) nära till centrum och ett bra område. Rekommenderas!

We arrived at this hotell late at night on our first time in Mumbai, and after 11 hours on a train and arriving in the chaotic city of Mumbai, this was a good place to arrive to. Hotell staff is friendly and helpful, and rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast for a european is maybe not the best since this is various Indian dishes, but they always […] have toast, jam, fruit, coffee so it was good enough for us. Area is probably one of the best in Mumbai (in our experience). It is more peaceful then the other parts of the city that we visited and close to a several of the must see sights in Mumbai. Læs mere
