My daughter attends school in Jacksonsville so I've experimented with several locations that could keep me close to the beach and not too far from downtown. This hotel is the best so far. it also had great service and comfort. Also...the best free breakfast I've had at these free breakfast locales. Also...beach is 5 minutes away. As me, my daughter, and my husband were getting ready for a great nights sleep after a 10 hour drive, we pull the covers back on the bed only to find a blood and urine stain on the blanket!!! My husband called the front desk who said they would leave a note for housekeeping to change the bed the next morning. Luckily we had a room with a pull out couch […] and were able to sleep on it!!! Talk about uncomfortable after sitting in a crammed packed car for hours!!! I am awaiting on a response from Holiday Inn Express about the situation as no manager ever responded to our complaint during our stay. Also the floor was so dirty we had to wear our flip flops the whole time we were in the room or else our feet were black from walking around in there. I was very satisfied with the hotel and the price, not sure the management was happy with the price. I have used Hotels.Com a few times and it seems the management of the various hotels are not overly excited about the low rates paid to them...

The hotel is relatively new so therefore, just a great place. The room was very clean, the staff helpful and a great breakfast. Because of the holiday weekend we were not able to book in Jacksonvill Beach proper and were leary as to this location. While I must admit the hotel is illy placed in a bit of a shoddy area, the staff and guests were just fine. […] In venturing out, with 5 minutes, we were at a nice restaurant eating with no problems or concerns. Stay was the first time in Mayport in 23 years. DeCom of Navy Ship. Rooms were clean, very roomy and quiet. Bed was really comfortable. I would stay again if I came back to Mayport. Easy to get to the base. Stayed in a lot of places. This Holiday Inn is one of the Top of all the places I have been.

This Holiday Inn Express is in a very convenient location when we were visiting friends in Atlantic Beach. It was very easy to find, well lit, and everything still feels nice and newly renovated. However, we could hear a phone conversation one of the people in a neighboring room quite clearly, as well as their television. Not that they were being loud […] - the walls are just super thin. This was not too much of a problem, and thankfully they went to bed quite early and we were very careful to talk in low voices and keep our television volume low. Læs mere

The hotel is in great condition. Service was great and hot/cold breakfast was very good. A very good place to stay.

both bed's made noise - seemed as if they put us in the furtherest place from the lobby with the noisy beds. Also could only enter the parking lot from the south side of the road - did not like how you had to go pass hotel and turn down a side street and come back up.

Was told by Hotel.com rep this hotel was about a mile from the beach, it was more like 6 miles. Oh well, it was very reasonably priced and close to good restaurants.

I booked this hotel through Hotels.com and was under the impression that all taxes and fees were paid and when I arrived at the hotel, they wanted a $50 deposit until I checked out! My issue with this is the fact that I was not informed ahead of time. This is not how you do business.

i was charged with a smoking violation for smoking in my room. The hotel did not offer a smoking room. If they're gonna charge fines for smoking they should atleast offer smoking rooms for the people that do still smoke. Not everyone can be perfect. I'm pretty sure there are some chains of hotels that still allow smoking and in the future thats where […] my family will be staying. Læs mere

Your pet fees are extremely high, especially just for one night. I would not recommend your hotel to any pet owners.

Room was gorgeous, nice decor.. walls were really thin, and you could hear everything. But my debit card was charged money for no reason SCREWING up my bank account in a major way.. It took them 5 days to get my money back. But that was after the damage was done ... would stay again this time I know what too look and listen out for ...

We usually stay at cheaper hotels than this one (think Comfort Inn) because, at least on paper, it looks like a better value. We decided to try this one because of an early bird discount that made it about the same cost. I'm glad we did. The hotel staff was the quickest and friendliest I've dealt with yet. The room was ultra clean, with tasteful decor. […] The bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was better than going to IHOP - they even included such things as omlets, bacon, sausage, and warm cinnamon rolls. They had all the amenities we wanted, including an in-room fridge and microwave (which, by the way, isn't listed or pictured on this site). If I were to criticize anything, it was some weird oversights in the hotel design. For instance, the air conditioner would go into Energy Save every 12 hours if we didn't touch it. And, without going into detail, we discovered the bathroom had no exhaust fan. Odd, but neither was a huge deal for us. It's a short drive to Fleet Landing and the beach. It worked well for us and we'll probably stay there again when we're next down to visit my grandparents. Læs mere

Nice, clean hotel. The room was clean, comfortable but walls were thin. Heard baby crying next door and television. On first floor near pool and lobby.....too noisy. Would choose a different floor for a quiet and restful atmosphere. Breakfast was great! Everything was fresh! The pancake machine was easy to use, the breads were fresh, the cheese omlet […] was tasty, and the biscuit was mouth watering. Pool was small and closed at 6:00 pm....a little early for us. We were in Atlantic Beach visiting a relative at Fleet Landing. The location was perfect for our visit and we found it very clean and comfortable. Since we will be, and have been, on the road for quite awhile we needed to do washing. The washer in the hotel only takes quarters ($2 to wash $2 to dry). Great new hotel within short driving distance to the beach. Everything was new, the rooms, the beds, nice tvs, etc. Everything was nice and clean upon arrival, and even tho I didn't get a chance to get breakfast, the breakfast area was nice and spacious. The only bad thing I would say it that the location isn't the best. The hotel is kinda by itself […] in a run down location spot. Easy to find tho. You also had to make a u-turn in order to get to the hotel cause you can only enter on the right side and there's no turning lane in the middle so you can't turn left to get to it. What a very nice clean hotel. The rooms were extremely clean the staff was very friendly and the free breakfast was above and beyond what we were expecting. I could still smell the newness of the Hotel. We wouldn't hesitate about staying there again!

The hotel was a perfect location for my Grandma's funeral. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The free hot breakfast was great to have so that we didn't have to all pile in the car to go get something to eat. The only negative about the hotel was the noise level. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything. We could hear kids running […] around upstairs and people going in and out of their rooms all night. The hotel was as expected, but the surrounding area was iffy. I didn't know the area, and would have chosen a different area had I known. I will way the hotel parking lot was very lit at night.

Room was very clean and plenty of room to move around. Location was not that great, not close to much of anything. We were staying there just for the night before our cruise so for that it was fine, but to stay for vacation the location is no good.

We had a very pleasant stay and the hotel is close to Mayport Field, the beach and not too far from Downtown Jacksonville.

No towel racks in bathroom. Toilet tissue holder was in a difficult place to access. otherwise, a decent hotel.

J'ai mis 4 au lieu de 5 pour la confort, car les oreillers étaient trop gros et trop durs. (C'est cependant une question de goût personnel).
