Port Douglas Retreat - Port Douglas

Rooms are wonderful, and the surroundings super. We were just feeling like home. We can really recommed this hotel. The best we had in our two months tour in Australia.

An excellent self catering experience in an ideal location. Hosts were brilliant at providing service and advice and booking excursions with no extra fees. Swimming pool was a good bonus and being able to use laundry facilities was good. Close to shops and restaurants and the beach as well as the marina for Barrier Reef. Secure parking.

We stayed 5 nights here, very nice place and relaxing. Room was clean and big Kitchen had all needed accessories Room was very close to the pool BBQ available and used it. Nice experience Pool very clean and nice

We got there around 2:30pm on a Sunday, and the front office was closed, as they close early on the weekends. There was an envelope with our name on it that had all the instructions needed for check-in. There was a letter requesting that we come the following morning to get squared away regarding the accommodations, which was understandable, as well […] as information letting us know our room number and that a key was inside. As we were walking to our room with our luggage, David heard us come in and welcomed us, directed us to our room, and asked if we needed anything further. It was a smooth transition and the hotel was in an amazing location. We couldn't beat the hotel being positioned just a block or two from the beach and town as our friends staying further from town and had to catch the local bus ($4 per person each way) every time they wanted to shop, eat, etc. So, that was a huge plus considering the accommodation was so reasonably priced and well worth it. There are a few small details that might be helpful to know before booking. The hotel does not supply shampoo and conditioner, so it's important to know this and plan ahead as we had to stop at Coles and purchase some. They supply only two large hotels, two washcloths, and a hand towel for a five night stay. I am so thankful they supplied towels, but it would have been much appreciated to have an extra few since we didn't get housekeeping each day. Also, it is expected that the trash be taken out daily, place swept before checking out, and dishes put away. They supplied great things for us to use in the kitchen, which also made this experience great as we used the fridge and kitchen for a few meals. Lastly, large beach towels were available to rent for $3 each to be used during your stay, which we happily did as they were a necessity. Overall, our stay was great, the staff was helpful, the place was clean, the pool was warm, and the location could not be beat. I would absolutely stay here again as we did n Læs mere

The facility was clean and well maintained. The owners are very helpful planning and suggesting excursions. Any extra services, e.g. extra towels, have an additional charge. Also, it is required that the room is picked up , swept, dishes put away, etc. before check-out.

Insgesamt ein sehr gut gelegenes Hotel mit gut ausgestatteten Zimmern, (einschließlich Kochmöglichkeit).
