Hyatt Place is a great hotel and we are defintely planning on staying here again during our trips to SLC. It's location next to The Gateway and also within walking distance of Temple Square make this a hotel a must. Visited Hogle Zoo (15 min away by cab) & saw a movie (within 1 block of hotel). We particularly liked being able to walk to nearby attractions and to light rail stop. The hotel is very comfortable and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed the hotel as it was close to all the downtown events. The room was great and the cookies were amazing!

Staff was very helpful and polite. The hotel has a great location, right beside The Gateway shopping center and within walking distance to all downtown attractions. Ride to the airport was only 10 minutes. Recommendations: free parking (is 10 dlls a night) and airport shuttle, which they don't have. Will definitely consider for future stays.

Our stay was great. The Staff was very helpful. We started in a room with kids next to us and a baby crying on the other side. The staff was great in moving us to a new room and even helped with the luggage. The Hotel is close to may fun areas in Down Town Salt Lake City. Less then a block away is the Gateway Mall and Energy Solutions Arena. Temple […] square is 3-4 blocks away, but still within walking distance. Læs mere

We enjoyed our stay. Very central to go shopping, dining, or to a jazz game. The King room was very nice with a sofa, desk, walk in shower, and a decent flat screen HDTV. They do charge for parking, but its very worth it. We will stay here again.

Very friendly staff. Convient location. A lot of construction going on around the hotel right now, which is a nuisance, but not the hotels fault.

Really enjoyed our brief stay downtown at the Hyatt Place. Great location and ease to downtown, restaurants and shopping. One thing to point out that isn't mentioned in their amenities is that there is a $10 parking fee for their private parking lot.

Close to the Gateway Mall and right down the street & 2 Traxx stops from Abravenal Hall. The rooms are very well laid out and spacious. The sitting area is so cozy and comfortable. The only negative would be the construction outside makes it a bit difficult to access the front of the hotel.

We found the layout of the room to suit our needs. The location was extremely convienent for our event was at the Energy Solution Arena. The Gallery hosts were helpful and courteous. We had a delightful stay!

I thought this hotel was great,the rooms were very nice! The hotel staff was all so nice and helpful to me and my 4yr old twins! It's SO close to Gateway Mall and that's what we wanted!! :)) Great place to stay for a night or two if you wanna be right by Gateway and energy solutions for a Jazz game!!;)

We've stayed in this Hyatt before, great location, ok breakfast, the rooms are HUGE! The service has always been great, the rooms nice and clean. But this time the room looked clean at first, but I went to use the extra blanket for my kids, it was really dirty. It was even wrapped up all pretty with a tie, so it had to have been used by the person before […] and they had to have not checked or washed it and just refolded it. It was gross, there were some suspicious looking brown spots on the inside folds of the blanket! It made me question how well the rest of the room actually was cleaned! The staff was exceptional. Helpful to any question or need that we asked for. Sometimes you didn't have to ask either.

My family of 10 stayed here for a pro basketball game and it worked wonderful. Some shopping close by, and the walk to the Arena was great! The staff was very friendly and accomodated with our needs and also gave great directions. The only down fall was the construction out front but that had nothing to do with the Hotel, Great place and will stay there […] again when the time comes! Læs mere

This is right by the Gateway shopping area, Energy Solutions Arena, and within a block of a TRAX light rail stop that can take you anywhere in the city (light rail downtown is free). When a new TRAX extension to the airport opens within two years, this will be right on that line, as well. My wife and I stayed here for a getaway and loved the convenience […] to restaurants in the gateway and downtown. The rooms were roomy and very comfortable, with a sectional (with hideabed) sitting area and a comfortable king bed. Very clean and very new. Every member of the staff we talked to was nice and helpful. The hotel was very busy due to Sundance and the Outdoor Retailers convention, but we had an easy check-in and even had the front desk offer us a free appetizer at Flemings when we mentioned we would be having dinner there. There was a problem with the reception on our TV, but it was fixed within ten minutes after a call to the front desk. Overall, a great experience for a very reasonable price. Læs mere

Beautiful hotel conveniently located within walking distance of an outside mall, trax transportation and freeway entrances. Great staff!

I loved having an amazing little get-away with my family. This was a perfect place, and I can't think of a nicer place to stay in the SLC area.

They could improve their breakfast options. No protein included.

The hotel and staff weoutstanding. Good location. You should know that there is a $10.00 parking fee per day that is not included in the quoted price. I would stay at the Hyatt again.

We had a great time. The hotel is clean and staff were friendly and efficient. Location was perfect. Everything is close and neighborhood is nice with the Gateway shopping center right next door.

Use this hotel at yur own risk. They told my daughter that they were placing a hold on her credit card for $50 to cover incidentals. This is standard practice and is acceptable. However, they increased the hold to $189 without notifying her or getting authorization. The manager didn't offer any apology or even seem to take responsibility for the bait […] and switch. My friends and I had three rooms for New Years Eve 2012. When we went to check in the hotel check in system was down, and the staff could not check us in immediately. We had to wait about 20 minutes. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly (even though they had to deal with rude costumers who felt it was Ok to treat the staff poorly due […] to a minor inconvenience). The staff helped us with out with our bags and with parking. The staff was absolutely great!!! The hotel room was much bigger than I expected. The regular room had a large couch with a seating area, fridge and wet bar area. The room was super nice, modern and a great value. The hotel is right near the Trax Rail line so getting into downtown is super fast and easy. The hotel is about 2 blocks from the Gateway where there are a ton of restaurants. Very pleasant stay. Very quiet. Exceptionally clean. Very well appointed. Will book there again..;. and again...etc.

We were extremely pleased with hotel- very clean, nice staff, pleasant lobby, great location. As a family of 5 we loved the suite with 2 queens and a comfortable pull out couch. Note that included breakfast is a little meager, and parking is a bit pricey, but still good value.

The hotel was amazing! Everything was clean and organized. The staff was very friendly. The room was comfortable. The hotel is right next to a mall and other downtown Salt Lake attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel. One of my best hotel experiences.

My husband and I live staying at this hotel; it is close to everything we want downtown, but this last stay was our most disappointing. We arrived rather late and were given a 2 queen room because all of the king rooms were gone. The beds in the queen room were uncomfortable and very squeaky, their was a tub/shower instead of the nice big shower, and […] the water temps were backwards on the sink. If we stay here again we will make sure to get a king room. The difference between the rooms was unbelievable. Læs mere

Nice hotel. There was only one person working the front desk so check in time was long. Lot's of construction out front which made access hard. Walls are thin so we heard kids crying and running up and down the halls. Other than that, this is a nice, clean hotel.

Great hotel, great service, clean, neat, new, great location EXCEPT right now there is extensive road construction in front of hotel, making parking difficult and exiting hotel. Saw one car accident and one near-miss 5 minutes apart becuase of the construction. Water was also cut off for a few hours becuase of construction and crew worked throughout […] the night. Not the hotel's fault, but I'd take into consideration if you're tight on time or demand a quiet night's sleep. Great location for TRAX, Energy Center, Gateway and downtown SLC activities. Would stay again once construction is over! Hotel offered us water bottles and free parking to compensate. 5th floor rooms smelled very sour/wet towels smell. This hotel was great... close to everything downtown! The staff was very friendly & the whole place was very neat & clean. My family & I will definitely be staying here again.

Hyatt Place SLC was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful. The construction surrounding the hotel made it kind of busy, noisy and inconvenient, but that is temporary. I slipped when showering and fell out of the bathtub, which did not have the textured floor most hotel tubs have. My arm and side hit the floor and my head hit the door. When […] I reported it as we departed, the gentleman told me there were vinyl bath mats in the room, but I did not see one. So be careful! Læs mere

We had a very nice view of downtown from the side we were on. (Of the Capitol building and the Mormon temple ect.) It was also right next to a nice shopping complex! There was a firehouse nearby and the firetruck went by several times with all sirens on.

It is a very nice place to stay, but I was turned off by the fact you checked in and out like you would at an airport. It almost seemed like they didn't want any guest service. I guess if itnwas really busy it would be nice, but I felt like they just didn't want to ber bothered!

I like the European feel of the hotel - contemporary (but not stark), efficient, tasteful. The staff was friendly, genuinely wanting to help, and always available. The rooms were clean, comfortable, with everything I wanted in a hotel room. Close to highways and a very nice mall. Very friendly and accomodating staff. We had a large room that was exactly as advertised. 24x7 kitchen/bar which was very surprising. Great place.
