We have stayed at this hotel many times for family trips. We love it! There were small maintenance issues (loose pegs on hanging racks, not enough hot water in second bathroom), but nothing that bothered us greatly. The only downside to staying here, is the location. You can't really walk to anywhere. It's not close to shops or most restaurants. We stayed in a one bedroom suite. The room was in great shape and had plenty of room for our family to be comfortable when we were not out doing activities. The property is located on the south end of Myrtle Beach and near the airport. The facilities appeared to be well maintained. It was a beautiful resort with everything in the room. The size of the room was great and everyone enjoyed the stay. The only problem was a wheelchair was not able to fit in the master bedroom bathroom. Other than that the wheelchair could get around great in the room.

I arrived early before check in time from the airport and not only did the front dest go ahead and let me check in, they gave me an upgraded room. The room was immaculately clean and everything was stocked in the kitchen that I needed. I loved the fireplace and the big jetted tub. I felt like I was at home in this resort. 1. We stayed four nights at this location during their off-season near the end of October. The location was not busy. 2. We arrived at 3pm but the check-in time was at 4pm and we were not given access until then "because the room we were assigned was not ready". 3. We had to get replacement swipe cards several times because they simply quit working […] - and we didn't have them close tom our cell phones,etc. 4. Recognize this is a time-share location and the sales people called our room at least 8 times. 5. Our suite faced the airport so it was loud, especially being near the helicopter pad. 6. Room was exceptionally clean. 7. Lastly, checkout time was at 10am. Two different staff members actually came to our door between 9 and 10am to see if we were out yet. In summary, nice facilities, friendly staff, but the location is not great and the operations at the motel need some tweaking as listed above. I would not go back, nor recommend. Sorry. Læs mere

My wife and I were extremely impressed by the excellence of this resort. Our room had all the amenities that we expected and then some, our only concern was that out mini fridge would not get cold. The pools were clean and well maintained, the grounds were well manicured, and the staff was extremely helpful and nice. staff was very accommodating, unit was spotless, location was great, several pools, hot tubs,lazy river, food available, spacious beautifully decorated units......unable to get unit on beach so we stayed here for convention close by, dont think we ll be going back to the beach hotel this was really nice

A great value for the price. Beautiful clean rooms. The toilet stopped up as we were leaving. They said they would send some one. This has never happened to us. The location is perfect at the end of the strip with an easy shuttle to the beach. We did not know when we booked that it is a time share and they wanted to make a sales pitch. The hotel and pools were lovely, really comfortable and seemed much more spacious than the hotels right on the beach. Here you have the best of both worlds - the spread out resort and the 30 second, easy walk across the road to the beach.

it was a nice hotel but the staff was not that great and we got checked in 30 mins late . but the hotel it self is great very clean and nice. when you get this hotel using hotel.com pls know 115.00 will be held on your credit card . but over all hotel great , staff not so great

Great reception staff. The location was great for a family with kids. It is close enough to enjoy all the area has to offer, but secluded enough to not have to bother with the teenager and late night crowd.

The Staff was ok once they realized we weren’t buying into the time share the service was just average. The pool area surrounding grounds where well maintained. Good locations to stay for golf get away close to both central Myrtle course and Pawley’s Island.

I had three reservations and expected that the rooms would be close to each other. One was in a separate building and made the communication a little challenging and the logistics due to the children traveling with us. the other was on the other side of the same building again for the same reason the children. I did expect for some reason a continenal […] breakfast or at least a place on site where could purchase breakfast quickly for the kids without going onto the main road. The resort is beautiful and has all of the amenities that we wanted. If we had known the above I could have planned a little differently but the flights were not condusive to shopping at a grocery then coming to the resort. Læs mere

It is one ofthe nices places that I have ever stayed at. I have travelled around the world and there on my door step so to say was this oasis of peace and tranquility that I never knew about. It was so perfect, the rooms were large and clean, everything was laid out as if they knew we were going ot be late and needed to relax straight off. Great resort! Spacious and clean rooms. Within walking distance from the beach and several pools. Just don't go to the timeshare presentation, unless you are interested. They can't seem to take no for an answer.

You are actually renting a condo, so you need to know that there is no daily cleaning or upkeep of your room. If you want your room serviced you have to pay extra for it. I stayed in a similar situation in Las Vegas, a resort, but they serviced the room for people who were non-owners, paying a daily rate. I was a little disappointed about that. As an owner, i chose to stay at South Beach Resort because of many reasons. First one being that I'm an owner, secondly, the customer service is awesome! The resort has so many amenities, so many features that once you arrive you feel like you're at home on vacation! This is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are very well kept and when we went they were remodeling all the rooms. Our room had already been done and looked really good. There is plenty of room and you definitely feel more at home than you would at a regular hotel. The only issue I have is they do try to get you to tour this facility and other facilities […] they own to try and get you to buy a time share. We were only there for two nights and didn't want to use the little time we had touring. The guy seemed kinda shocked by the fact we didn't want to do it and acted as if we were an inconvenience.
