Ligger suverent ned til havet, hvor delfinerne hoppede. Så flotte solnedgange. Ungerne hyggede sig både i poolen og i havet, som var OK-børnevenlig.

hotellet er lidt træt da ejeren ønsker at rive det ned og erstatte det med ferielejligheder, heldigvis har boligkrisen sat en stopper for projektet. Med en placering direkte på stranden, med egen parkeringsplads, svømmepøl og gæster der kommer igen og igen år efter år, er man som en del af en stor familie, da man også bor meget tæt er det jo bare fint! Hotellet har en meget fin rengøring og det er det! har du forventning om 5* service, er du klart gået forkert... Der er ingen anden service end rengøringen! Morgenmad foregår nede på Hess tanken (7 mins gang væk), her får man fin kaffe og donouts, dem kan I tage med ind til inner bay. Frokost og aftensmad er vanskeligere, i gå afstand findes Dockside Daves Grill, Lobster, i bil kan man tage til Johns Pass og spise på Hooters, og se delfiner samtidigt! Ellers er alternativet at tage til Publix (7-10 min i bil) og købe færdig sushi. Super sted til i diskrete omgivelser at dyrke veninden:-)

Placering.
Pelican Pointe ligger i nærheden af stranden i Clearwater Beach og tæt på Pier 60 Park, Clearwater Municipal Marina og Sand Key Park. I nærheden er også Clearwater Marine Aquarium og Coachman Park.

Gulf Boulevard løber hele vejen forbi The Beach Cities, fra Clearwater Beach i nord til St. Pete Beach i syd. Langs denne hovedvej kan besøgende shoppe, spise og sove på forskellige indlogeringssteder. "Dejligt lille hotel tæt ved den Mexicanske Golf"
Dejligt lille hotel meget tæt på kridhvid strand ud til den mexicanske golf. Dejligt område ommkring Pier 60 og et meget venligt hotelpersonale. Håndklæder, ingen problemer. Tag dem bare med på stranden og spørg efter flere hvis du mangler... Morgenmaden.... regn ikke med den. Det er en joke men der er toaster med plads til 4 brød ad gangen. Så vi købte […] toastbrød og ost og skinke og hentede så kaffen ved "morgenbordet" i receptionen. Jeg er absolut parat til at besøge hotellet igen. Læs mere
"super beliggenhed"
Pelican Pointe har en super beliggenhed ved havet. Morgenmaden er en joke, som består af en kop lunken kaffe/the og en vacumpakket kage. Værelset var pænt og rent. Der bliver dog ikke fyldt op med kaffe når det der er stillet frem på værelset er drukket. Vi vil dog gerne bo der igen pga beliggenheden

We loved the hotel but we were very up set about the pool and the children throwing toys everywhere. I got hit by a frisby and almost got hit by a football. WE could not even use the pool because it was full of toys.Most places do not let people throw all those things in the pool.
"Clearwater stay"
Was generally good. Daily room cleaning did not always clear garbage out.

I stayed there on Saturday night for the Irongirl race that was Sunday. We had the kids with us, total of 6 of us in all . The room was plenty big for us, very clean and easy walk to everything! We parked & didn't drive again until we left. Beautiful view of the beach too! Would definitely stay here again!!

Our stay was fair, the room was not as pictured, needed towels, not enough toilet paper in room, (holder brorken). Needed parking spaces for 2 cars, were told we could not have 2 vehicles.No where did it mention that in the information.

"Older Hotel, spacious but lacks noise control"
The rooms are spacious with a kitchen and sitting area. For the money seemed worth the space however at 3:30am with Spring Break partiers, noone was answering the front desk to help control the sound. Could use new furniture and a facelift. Front desk was nice and helpful during the day
"Pelican Pointe"
Friendly, clean, affordable and great location. Was there for the weekend in april and will be back for the summer. Not the Ritz or the Marriot but you will get your money's worth. You will enjoy your food and drinks more knowing that someone else is paying double of what you did just two blocks down the beach for the same convenient location.

We had a great time at Pelican Pointe! The rooms were very clean and the service was great. On arrival our air conditioning didn't work, it was handled VERY quickly. "Pelican Point in Clearwater Florida"
I wanted to say that overall it was a decent and reasonably priced hotel in a great town. The location was very convenient to everything, the owner was very polite and helpful. But, our room on the first floor, while clean upon arrival, took the whole next day to get the maid service to come in and clean again. We were back from the beach by then and […] it was inconvenient to have to sit aside with little kids while they did so. Also, they have a dark carpet in the middle of the room, that you have to walk across - stained so much, and it was gross to let the little ones walk barefoot on and/or sit on. It was close to the beach and within walking distance of all that we wanted to do. Free parking and we didn't have to fight spring break traffic until it was time to leave. Great hotel for the price.
There was a mix-up with the booking of our first night--they apparently overbooked so they provided a free nights stay --parking and all--at the much more expensive hyatt---We were very satisfied with their service.

The kitchenette was well stocked with dishes and cutlery -all that we would need. The hotel was very well located to all the amenities we needed. We enjoyed the pool as it was also a nice option of not always goiing to the crowded beach. All the staff were very friendly and courteous. Loved having 2 TVs in the suite!! Loved everything about this place! Location, Staff, very cute rooms, decent continental breakfast. Only 2 things could have made it better. 1) if the hotel were right on the beach instead of across the street 2) the walls were a little thin. Pelican Pointe is located across the street from the beach, great deal for the location.. Has a VERY nice/clean pool area and a warm heated pool as well. Each room has chairs outside on the balcony to watch traffic or gaze at the Gulf ( the best part, having your coffee watching the birds dive-bomb for fish). The rooms are better than pictured. "not fancy but nice"
Well kept with a fresh coat of paint helps make this older facility very attractive from the outside. Rooms are simple, a little musty, but overall pleasant. Great service, everyone smiles, and the easy access to the beach was right across the street. It's hard to beat Clearwater Beach for cleanliness and beauty.

We stayed 3 nights and left the room each day. On only 1 day we received clean towels...nothing else. I even asked the housekeeper to come back in an hour, after we were gone. I slept on the sleeper sofa. It felt like a sheet on coils..it was the worst mattress I've ever slept on and I had just come from Residence Inn Clearwater, where I slept on a […] sofa sleeper. "Great location"
The hotel is very well located if you want to spend most of your time at the beach. Other than that, you will have to travel some distance. Our room was nice inside. No blanket for the sleeper sofa, but one was brought up to us. I would stay here again for the price.
"Pelican Pointe Resort - Clearwater Beach, FL"
Resort is a stretch! If you need something cheap or you're on spring break with college buddies...this place is for you. If not I don't recomend it. It seems to be a little better than the other flea bag motels on the strip, but next time I'll go somewhere else!

Stayed there for 2 nights. Awesome location, beach is right across from the street and shops/restaurants within walking distance. Although the hotel looks average outside, room is kept clean and up-to-date. Staff is friendly and helpful! Had a minor problem with the shower being clogged up and the phone in the room didn't work. Finding a hotel online can be a gamble, so I shopped around on hotels.com to find a beach front property at Clearwater Beach FL. Driving down the strip, you see those creepy looking places.... and then Pelican Pointe! 4 stories high, elevator, pool and beach views, this place was a bargain! We were originally placed in a smallish room, but when the […] TV didn't work properlly we were moved to a beautiful 4-window studio on the 4th floor. I could literally lay in bed and watch the ocean. Clean, spaceious, awesome water pressure, each room has a kitchenette (sink, microwave, fridge, cabinets with a 4 piece dining set, utensils).. I upped my stay to 2 nights instead of one. You can walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes, see it from your room... me and my husband can't get over how awesome this place was. Læs mere

Penguin Point is an old hotel that is centrally located. The room was a little stuffy, but with the window open, we had a nice breeze. We faced the street but it wasn't noisy. The kitchenette has plates, microwave, frig and there is a washing machine available, so if you were staying for a day or two that would be a nice amenity. Coffee pot, too, but […] we're not too wild about the brown stuff that comes out of those little pots! They advertise breakfast, but the office didn't open until 8:00 and we wanted something before that so we found a great local restaurant, Lenny's up on Hwy 19 by the Hampton Inn.
