Hampton Inn New York - LaGuardia Airport - East Elmhurst

The hotel was everything I expected. I particular like the breakfast service as I was leaving very early.

Hotel in general OK but the room we had was equipped with an old fasion Very noisy Air Conditionning (AC) so we did not sleep much that night. The hotel shares swimming pool with neighbour hotel and there was only restaurant in the neighbour hotel too. The service in the neighbour hotel were however super. We Got ext. Nice clean hotel at a convenient location... Had to call twice to get the hotel shuttle to come to the LGA airport. The shuttle will not stop and leave if you don't chase it to the middle of the street... The front desk staff are rude and unhelpful... They do not have the training or courtesy to help you... (i'm just too busy to help you kind of attitude) […] This hotel DOES NOT have WIFI... The hotel description says it does, but has it only in the lobby. Not in the rooms... Given a smoking room I did not request. No Wi-Fi. No Wi-Fi! In 2013. No easy access to food. Just a bad experience, especially after a 14-hour flight.

No air conditioning in hotel lobby where meeting room and T.V. were. Hotel would not provide water in lobby. Just hot coffee. They directed us to vending machines. otherwise staff was very helpful

Clean, fast, spacious. The only issue was the elevator noise since our room was next to the shaft.

Everything was very good except that I have come to expect wireless internet in the room. Not having this was somewhat of an inconvenience especially since we had multiple people that had laptop computers staying in the room.

I so appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of my room. I was exhausted on arrival and the fresh linens made me feel much better. I also liked the business office in the lower level for printing boarding passes. Breakfast more than adequate. Excellent experience.

I needed a good room at a (NYC) reasonable rate. This hotel worked. Good bed, free breakfast, clean room, coffee maker, fridge, excellent TV. We flew in to see a Cirque du Soleil show at the Met's stadium and the hotel was within walking distance to both the stadium and the hotel. Compared to prices in Manhattan, the breakfast, location, and room quality made the day worth it!

Great hotel...very clean. The only issue we had is our room was not cleaned the first night. Apparently a mix up with a new maid, but the hotel fixed the problem right away. Very clean, great free breakfast and they shuttled us to the metro so we could go into the city every day. Had to take the metro then a bus back to the hotel, but this was very […] easy and the hotel provided us with easy, exact and detailed instructions on how to do this. Stayed here a night before we flew out of Laguardia. Its in good shape and the room was big and comfortable. They have a shuttle to the airport and also to the subway. You can take the #7 subway line straight to Times Square. Service could be nicer and more helpful but its adequate.

Everything was great. The only thing I didn't like was the tight space between the cold metal pole / handle in the shower and the spray from the shower. You couldn't move the shower head and had to make sure not to touch the cold pole while showering. Yikes ! That would wake you up ! Also the air conditioning unit was loud. Ask for a room await from the elevator. Otherwise you won't be able to sleep. Good shuttle service.

Hotel was nice and very clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Free breakfast was excellent. Parking is a major limitation. It is very limited and the alternative is a nearby parking garage that charges $15 a day. For the rate that the hotel charges, free or at least discount parking in the garage should be included.

Lovely rooms, comfortable beds. Excellent location for the airport. Hard to get to the city. Wish breakfast was earlier since several other guests were also going to the airport early in the morning without eating.

I was happy with nearly everything about this hotel. The rooms were modern, large and comfortable, nicely decorated and clean. The staff was friendly and polite. The rate was very good, considering we were there during Christmas week. I didn't even mind having to pay for parking because the total charge was still a good deal. Because it's located right […] by LaGuardia Airport it was packed all week with lots of families and travelers checking in and out. The one thing I really didn't like was breakfast. I've stayed at a number of other Hampton Inns and they usually have a decent breakfast spread with cooked eggs and sausage or bacon most days. The breakfast room was a zoo--packed every day no matter what time I got down there, and they were constantly running out of hot food an hour before breakfast was over. The few times I was able to grab some eggs they were so awful I couldn't eat them. The bagels and the oatmeal were good but they ran out of bagels on the last day I was there. How the kitchen staff made it through those breakfast hours and still managed to smile and patiently re-stock the food and clean up all the messes left by guests and kids I will never know. They deserve a medal! Well, any hotel in New York is a mob scene during the holidays, so I think I will go back to Hampton Inn La Guardia again when it's not the busiest week of the year. Læs mere

We always try to stay at Hampton Inns when given the choice, and we've had some great experiences. We arrived about 10:30 pm so there wasn't much time to enjoy the room. However we did get our wake up call and the alarm clock worked and the coffee maker worked. The room was clean and comfortable.We only stayed one night. The shuttle service was good.

There are no restaurants or food except for the morning breakfast buffet. Since this is an airport hotel, the majority of people staying here do not have transportation.

Shuttle service to and from Airport and Subway stops were very handy - Drivers for the most part were very nice and courtious. Desk personel were very good. It was nice to have a complimentary breakfast in the morning, however, the food was mediocre at best. Absolutely loved the 24 hour complimentary coffee/tea bar in the lobby! We arrived at the hotel during a Nor'easter. Received a prompt welcome and our room was ready. Best part was the incredibly comfortable bed and cleanliness of the bathroom. Although it was noisy outside (wind, rain, and planes) the room was very quiet. Based upon other reviews I had requested a room away from the elevator. NO FREE PARKING was available. […] The hotel has limited space for parking outside the lobby. The parking garage is right next door and cost $15.00 for the night. There is no easy access to the hotel from the garage and exits for pedestrians are poorly marked. That was the only downside to our stay. Airport shuttle began its runs at 4 a.m. Terminal B is a two minute ride from the hotel which was ideal for our family. We ate dinner next door at the companion hotel's bar - decent food and friendly service. Did not see any other dining options in the neighborhood.
