We absolutely loved this hotel. The hotel & spa staff were extremely nice & helpful. Very personable & accommodating. The room was very spacious & the bed extremely comfortable. We were provided with a small fridge upon request, since the rooms don't normally come with one (or a microwave). The deck over the lake was soooo nice. We loved watching the […] swans & geese :) I am calling back to reserve another room for my trip next week!! This hotel is older & the rooms are not super "posh", however, the staff, price & comfort of the room more than made up for any lack of trendy decor. And we loved having our (super yummy) continental breakfast delivered to our room every morning. Can't wait to stay again... My husband and I were looking for a romantic night close to the New Buffalo Casino so we booked the king whirlpool suite, which was supposed to overlook a lake. The room was just allright (very old and peeling paint in corners, worn out carpet, smelled old) and overlooked an algied swamp (complete with floating garbage). However, our biggest complaint, […] which could have easily ruined our weekend, was the deposit that was NOT made known until we tried to check-in. I explained to the person who made our reservation that we wanted to pay cash when we checked in - which was the same night. I was assured this was fine and I never thought another thing about it since I do travel and this is common. However, when we got there, we were told we needed to have $250 available on our credit card to hold, which wer did not have that much since we are remodeling our kitchen. The only alternative was to pfepay the room and the deposit of $250. We were able to do that but it seriously changed our plans. Apparently, the deposit amount is what it is because every "violation" in their inn is $250. For example, "any evidence of smoking" is $250. Any underage person in the room is $250. Any bedding in the whirlpool is $250. AND these violations were posted EVERYWHERE. Needless to say we were one of three cars on the premises for a Friday night. Had to book last minute with most chain hotels already booked and took a chance on this hotel! I was very happy with the results. The hotel lobby area is set up as a spa.....and very inviting. The actual hotel is older but nice. We had a balcony over looking the lake with ducks, swans, and geese. NICE! This independent hotel looks to have been half of a resort complex built on a lake behind a shopping mall -- the other half is now a Best Western. The entrance and spa areas were nice but our room and the grounds showed their age a little more - bad caulk jobs on countertops, a toilet with replacement plastic mechanism that wasn't adjusted properly, […] unmatched paint touchups, etc. Our room had a little deck over that looked over a private lake. In the middle of summer the lake is algae ridden and not as picturesque as I'd hoped. There was some wildlife viewing but mainly of ducks and geese. The 9:30 breakfast thing makes sense in terms of the "sleep late and relax" attitude they may be trying to cultivate for guests, but we needed to be on the road long before that and they couldn't make alternative arrangements when I asked upon checkin. I simply chose this hotel because of its location and price relative to where I needed to be. What an awesome find! This adult only hotel/spa has a balcony attached to every room. Sit on the balcony and enjoy the view of the lakes and swans. Continental breakfast is brought to your room at no additional expense. The lobby and pool/hot tub area are very nice. The rooms are a little dated. Each room has a lakeside view with a balcony. The room was a nice size and clean Everyone was nice, we didn't have any problems.

This hotel was very nice. Staff were very helpful, professional and nice. The room was huge. I loved the room lay out. The bed was comfortable and extra pillows were already provided.
