Azzi - Firenze

I knew that the Azzi was a basic hotel before going because of the reviews given by other guests and was also warned about the fact that there were a number of different types of accommodation all within the same complex; however, it was only on arriving that this became a bit of an issue. We were initially shown over to the 'annex' which, although, […] was very spacious, felt a little unsafe for myself and my daughter, given it was on the other side of the street from the hotel and involved a number of shared entrances and a couple of flights of steps up to the room. The staff at the 'Azzi' however, were happy to move us immediately to a room within the actual hotel main buidling, just not a room in the 'Azzi' hotel, but instead to a room in the 'Marine'. The Marine is a 2 star hotel, which left me feeling unsure if I was being overcharged for what I was getting. When I raised this with them a few days later (felt conflicted up until then given that the room we had was nice and we were getting the 3 star breakfast.) and they waived the city tax, which matched the difference between the price of an Azzi room and a Marine room. So the overall experience was a good one and I really cannot overstate how friendly the Reception and Room Service staff were, but, this hotel group would be better being more explicit about the varying hotel/room types in their advertising from the outset. Stayed here for 2 days. Nice cosy little place, but parking is a nightmare.Had some issues with the wi-fi connectivity in the room which the guys at reception weren't able to help with but there was wi-fi in the dining area so that wasn't a major issue. Definitely recommended.

Aziz has great character and the room was comfortable and clean. It was within walking distance of all major sites, cafés, and restaurants. The rooms on Via Faenza side can be noisy.

Although a basic hotel it was very comfortable with a basic breakfast included,the location is great walking distance from all the local attractions, train station and bus station. A local market walking distance which is on everyday and many reasonable restaurants to eat in. If you're light sleepers I would recommend you ask for a room that isn't on […] the street side as this can be quite noisy as there is a lot of movement going on outside. Læs mere

Excellent location easy walking distance to sights and train station. The hotel lists wi-fi as one of the services. However, it rarely worked in our room, so we had to go to the common area to get reception. . This is an older hotel and I knew that so I didn't expect too much. However, the shower stall was rickety and very small, the toilet seat broke […] and no one came to fix it, although the cleaning person was made aware. The light burnt out and there was no replacement (a strange sort of fixture, we didn't even know how to get the old light out ) so we only had two very dim lamps as it was the weekend so there was no one around to take care of it. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and most speak English, so that's a plus.They put on a big spread every morning, which is gratis. Meats,cheeses, rolls, cereal, etc. You often have to wait for coffee as there is only one pot brewing at a time as they use the top warmer to keep the milk warm. So... coffee runs out, you wait... overall.. the minuses are 'minor' things - This hotel is very economical, so if you want a great location, nice staff, English, free breakfast, and all for a super price, this is the spot. The hotel was located very close to the train station (less than a five minute walk), and was only a short walk away from most of the sights in Florence. The staff was very helpful--they provided us with a map and circled the main attractions, and also helped us figure out how best to visit those places in the short time that we were there. The staff […] was also very helpful answering our questions, and the breakfast was quite good for a complimentary hotel breakfast. This is an older hotel with antique furniture, local art on the walls and a bohemian feel to it. I stayed here with my two adult children for two nights in December 2012. Our room was large and comfortable, with a double bed plus a chair that folded out into a single bed. We had our own bathroom stocked with very nice olive oil-based soaps and shampoo. […] Breakfast was extensive with cereals, fresh pastry, yogurt, fruit, meat, cheeses, bread and coffee. The only problem we had during our stay was that the wifi did not work in our room, but was fine in the common room down the hall or in the breakfast area. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel provided all we needed (apart from tea making in the room but we knew about that before we booked)clean,comfortable and quiet .only 10 minutes stroll with luggage from the rail and bus station,and we walked to all the sights in Florence easily.the staff were all helpful and gave good advice.We loved it all.

Azzi is a little gem of a hotel. It's authentic Italian and is not pretentious - if you are looking for value for money, this is it. The room was clean and had all the basics needed and the staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Excellent location, about 1 block from central station and an 8 minute walk to the center. Nice-sized room with kitchenette, though the refrigerator wasn't working. Quiet street, and relaxing hotel ambiance. Range of choices for buffet breakfast, wifi available, reasonably priced. Would certainly stay here again!

Hotel Azzi (pronounced Asie) located a short walk from Florence train station. I would recommend you walk the short 5 minutes distance instead of a cab ride for 8-10 EURO. The hotel was clean and the room was OK. The room had very old furniture with peeling thick paint and had a smell reminding me with old town antique shops. The closet doors did not […] close properly and the chest drawers did not open as well. I guess you can call “artistic room” if you want, I would call it junk furniture. The shower enclosure was VERY small giving me limited space to move to bath. It also had moldy ceiling and old fixtures. The breakfast, costing 5 Euro, was not worth it. It had limited selection, bread and jam with some hazel nut spread and coffee/tea/juice. You could get more fulfilling breakfast on the main road with a larger selection. The service at the front desk was OK, limited English but overall OK. I had some issues getting the online internet access setup on day one. On day two there was someone else at the front desk and he knew the password for the second floor hub. Overall, an OK hotel to put your head down at night. Læs mere

This hotel is charming and in a great location. The owner and front desk staff were very nice and helpful too. We walked to everything. Travel Tip: If coming in at train station, walk to the hotel. A cab charged us 8 euros to go 1 block.

역에서나와 버거킹 왼쪽골목들어가서 두번째 블럭에서 오른쪽으로 으로 들어가면 금방입니다 낡은 건물이지만 안은 하얗게 잘해 놨어요 아침은 빵이랑 햄 치즈 커피 정도 나오고 친절하고 가방도 맡아주고 엘리베이터는 없어요

Hotellet Azzi har en resepsjon, men rommene er i et av 4 "albergo" i samme hus. Rommet hadde ikke gardiner (til vask) og ingen TV. Badet var gammelt og slitt. Tynn dør til rommet gjorde at det var veldig lytt mot gangen. Frokosten var elendig med lite pålegg og ble den ene morgenen servert i et spiserom i første etasje der det ikke var plass til alle […] gjestene ! Positivt var at rommet vendte mot en koselig park, at hotellet ligger veldig sentralt i Firenze og at sengeutstyr var bra. Pris sto ikke i samsvar med den dårlige romkvaliteten. Læs mere

Gros problèmes de personnel et d'organisation, de propreté. Une douche qui gicle de l'eau et envoie la peinture sur la tête, une femme de chambre qui entre dans la chambre sans frapper à 7h45 le matin, un petit déjeuner débarrassé 20 minutes avant l'heure annoncée, des travaux qui débutent tôt à 3 mètres de notre chambre "bianca", et le pompom : le […] gardien de l'hôtel à fermer la porte d'entrée de l'hôtel à clé et est parti le temps que je gare ma voiture ... Establecimiento muy cercano a la estación Firenza SMN y a los principales lugares de interés de Florencia. Habitación cómoda con un diseño que recuerda a los años 60 en España. Desayuno correcto. Buena relación calidad precio. Très bon séjour, chambre agréable. Dommage que les options des chambres soient un peu floues à la réservation par internet. Equipe sachant s'adapter au rythme de vie des vacanciers.

Уютный отель, расположенный в историческом здании. Отель находится близко от основных достопримечательностей и центральной станции, что немаловажно при путешествии на поезде. Рекомендую Azzi для недолгой остановки во Флоренции.

Hotell Azzi er et rimelig og kvalitetsmessig bra alternativ å bo i Firenze. Kort vei til det meste og hyggelig atmosfære på hotellet. Kanskje ikke den mest spennende frokosten, men helt greit både mht pris og innhold sett i forhold til det som kan kjøpes ute.
