Relatively decent stay, relatively easy to find, able to ask for directions from Jiantan MRT station cos there was a tourist info booth there. There is a 24hr fruits shop nearby and a convenience store just opposite and a few food places just outside the hotel... the best thing is that it is walking distance to Shilin night market hence we could walk/shop […] all we want til 12mn and not worry about not being able to get transport back to hotel. There is also a shuttle bus from Jiantan MRT to Miramer Shopping Center where the ferris wheel is! :) Dont mind staying here again just for the proximity to Shilin market. :) Læs mere

Stayed there with our adult children and young Grandchildren....top quality service...excellent western breakfast...five minute walk to MRT...spotless room...beautiful furnishings...small hotel .. five minutes to the shinlin night market...could not be any better!

The staff makes good recommendations and very prompt in responding to requests. They are also very helpful in a medical emergency. We had a little stairway accident that need stitches in the middle of the night. We were placed at a corner room, unfortunately, on the very first day we checked in, they were fixing the window of the room next to our room, in the end we couldnt rest at all the whol afternoon, and the noise only stoppped after we feedback about it. Upon arrival to the hotel. our room was not ready due to disinfection procedures, however, after returning to the hotel after 3 hours, we were given another room on the 2nd level with a faulty window. The hotel was very responsive in providing another room but we had to wait another hour, hence we head out to the nearby shihling ye shi first. Friendly staff; close proximity to Shilin Night Market, clean rooms. Breakfast spread was nice, however could have more fresh cut fruits as vegetables/salad in the mornings may not appeal to foreigners.

Good value for money accommodation. Rooms are not big but very clean and functional. Hotel staff are efficient and very accommodating. Hotel is within walking distance to ShiLin market and Jian Tan MRT station. Room is very small and smelly. Actally, thereis not the swimming pool in the hotel. The actual hotel name is different to Beauty Hotel as Beauty Hotel as a chain. We asked at the airport for direction to the hotel and had trouble getting to the place as the spelling of the street was misspelled and the name of the hotel is not beauty hotel. Very close to the Shih Lin night market and it is surrounded by many local authentic restaurant. Worth staying. Nice breakfast.

Hotel is 5 mins walk to Jian Tan MRT. 8 mins walk to Shilin night market. Location is easily accessible and taxi drivers know the area by showing them the hotel address. There are always 1-2 taxis waiting outside the hotel so whenever you are too lazy to take a train or walk can take a taxi ride! 2 convenient stores open 24 hrs are located just opposite […] the hotel. Safe to walk around night time as well. Hotel is not new but cleanliness ranks well with hospitable and helpful staff from receptionist to cleaners. It is a small hotel like a 8-10 storey building with about 8 rooms on one floor. Wifi access is fast and TV channels are plenty. Newspaper and magazine are available on every floor and receptionist counter. Breakfast is ok and through my 6 days of stay I did not choose to miss any of them although it gets boring eating the same thing. Breakfast includes the usual bacon, ham, fried onion rings, chicken nuggets, steam eggs, bread, porridge, jap noodles, fried rice, orange juice, coffee etc etc. No hiccups during my stay. Good location - near Shilin Nite market, and Jiantian MRT station, surrounded by two 24 hr convenient stores directly opposite the hotel. Interesting local neighbourhood scene in the morning as residents did their morning grocery shopping at market center and residents exercising in a park across hotel. Very good hotel; staff helpful; breakfast copious and varied; close to MRT and direct bus to National Museum; also to Shi Lin night market. Lacking sachet of coffee without sugar. Walls not sufficiently well insulated; could hear voices next door.

We are very satisfied with the location of the hotel, as it is near the 'Jian Tan' MRT station, and also the famous Shih-lin Night Market. The cleanliness of the room is also great. The WiFi signal was not very strong in the room, so it is better to depend on the wired connection (you can request for a LAN cable from the reception)

We got a spaceous 3-person room. Nice & comfortable hotel, friendly receptionists and helpful housekeeping staffs. Great location to shopping and eating in Shih Lin. Also close to MRT & convenient to most parts of Taipei. The only weak point is the limited choice of breakfast.

Provide Good Breakfast

Althougt they have no clock in the room, this hotel is close to the famous night market & the subway station also, so it is very convenience .The neighborhood is very quite. I like it.

i loved the service provided from the very beginning. I was dropped off at a Beauty Hotel but in a diff district. They were nice enough to send me to the hotel of my stay without extra charge. the hotel staff have excellent service. The only 2 problems I had with the hotel were the late check-in (at 3pm) and the breakfast. The hotels I had stayed had check-in time at 2 pm. However, this hotel had 3 pm check-in time, which I feel was not very nice. During breakfast time, the hotel seemed to have a problem coping with human flows. The reason for me to select this hotel is it's location. It is near the metro Shilin station and right next to the night market with all the good local foods. The hotel in no way resembles the photos presented on the advertising websites. It is not large, is fairly dark and confined at reception and has only one small lift. We had a large size 'luxury' room on the top floor. Good, airy bathroom, but main room although adequate, requires refurbishing and updating and had small windows. I would say that the hotel location is quite good as it is near Shilin night market as well as the train station. Surrounding areas also have some restaurants, mini market, etc It provided wired internet... it would be better if the hotel could also provide wireless internet in the room.

I checked in on 30 Sep (Thu), but arrived at 12pm...and they were unable to let me check-in early...and when i checked out on 2 Oct (Sat)...upon request for late check out, the receptionist reluctantly extended an hour. Very cold service. When asked about ways to travel from hotel to airport, receptionist coldly said hotel provide transport at a cost […] of TWD 1,300 per trip. No other suggestion given. So in the end i took cab (cost TWD 160, you may also go via MRT) to Taipei Train MRT station, then took bus (cost TWD 125) to airport. The bathroom design was very unfriendly to old people no shower area, just a high bath tub...have to be very careful when getting into the tub. The hotel is located at very near to the Night Market where you can access to the street snacks and food. It is pretty central with access to public buses and MRT to all over metro Taipei and otuskirt places. Staff are helpful in giving directions to the various attractions in Taipei and even help in suggesting the daily travel plan if you are on free […] and easy vacation. There are a few guy receptionists at the counter who are extremely courteous and helpful. Though the hotel is a pretty small and cosy hotel with a narrow lobby. Overall, the business suite that i stayed in was clean and quite spacious. There is also a jacuzzi bath inside.. This hotel met and exceeded my expectations. The staff was very friendly and nearly all of them spoke English. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel is small and has a family feel to it (only 8 floors with 6 rooms per floor), and the hotel was extremely well staffed. The breakfast buffet was impressive for such a small hotel with many local […] dishes as well as American type food (bacon, eggs, toast,, etc) and the coffee is outstanding. There's a penthouse room (107 or 108) on the top floor with a beautiful view but I didn't check with the hotel to see if it is available. My one complaint about the hotel room was the fact that our "king size" bed was actually two twins shoved together with a divider put between them. My husband and I were basically forced to sleep on one twin each or to endure the uncomfortable middle section. But given how exhausted we both were after walking around the city for 8 hours a day, we both essentially fell into a coma each night so it generally wasn't noticed. The power button on our tv was kind of broken so it made it difficult to turn on but since we were only in the room to sleep and shower, we didn't care enough to complain. The hotel is a short walk to the MRT (less than 2 blocks), a fantastic fruit market with the best fresh fruits (some are even cut up and individually packaged which made it extremely easy for us), close to the Shilin Night Market where I had the best shaved milk ice cream I've ever eaten. There are two well stocked convenience stores directly across the street from the hotel and several restaurants on the same road with the hotel. We literally wanted for nothing. There's a huge pool and water park across the street from the hotel. The hotel has a daily shuttle that runs all over the city but since they have a schedule, it's easy to miss. But even if you miss it, the MRT is so easy to understand and to use that we found no need to bother with the hotel shuttle. We did take the shuttle to the airport with Læs mere

We have stayed at the Star Beauty Resort twice now and we absolutely love this hotel! The rooms are immaculately clean (as is the rest of the hotel) and the free daily breakfasts are fabulous serving an array of traditional Taiwanese style dishes. This hotel is close to the Shih Lin Market and there is an abundance of places to eat within walking distance. […] And the subway/train stop is within walking distance so you literally have access to everything you need right outside your door! The hotel (incl its rooms) looked smaller than I expected because of its low ceiling but the hotel was tastefully designed and always kept clean. The reception staff are consistently efficient and courteous. They always stand up and greet us even at 1am upon our arrival from the Shihlin night market. It would be perfect if breakfast could be extended to 10:30am esp. for tourists who come late and tired from the trips or past midnight flights like ours.
