Et lille hotel der ligger godt og stille , det bærer præg af at være gammelt og lidt slidt, vinduer og væge er meget utætte , det blæser ind. Man spiser typisk engelsk morgenmad.

Hotellet var noget gammelt og slidt, men der var en hyggelig atmosfære og en utrolig hjælpsomhed fra personalet. Desværre fik vi et værelse i kælderen lige ved siden af spisestuen og køkkenet hvilket gav en del uro og mad lugt om morgenen, kan kun anbefale at bede om et værelse i stuen eller ovenpå. Værelset var ok dog gammelt og slidt, men sengene […] udemærkede og vi havde eget badeværelse hvilket var vores minimum krav. Meget spartanske værelser (ingen sæbe intet vandglas på badeværelse). Elendig morgenmad

Ligger i et meget stille område ikke langt fra en undergrundsstation. Personalet var meget flinke og hjælpsomme. Morgenmaden var ikke super, men man fik serveret alt det man kunne spise (og mere til) så man blev altid mæt. Vi var af sted 3 piger, der både ville opleve Londons seværdigheder og Londons natteliv. Hotellet lå ideelt, tæt på metrostation, og nær indkøbsmuligheder. Gæsterne kunne hente drikkevarer, iform af kaffe, te, saftevand, juice og kakao til en hver tid, samt hente frugt og morgenmadsprodukter. Selve hotellet var rigtig flot. Badeværelset trængte til en behandling, bl.a. skiftede vandtrykket ofte. Hvis man, som vi, også ønsker at opleve Londons natteliv, ligger hotellet lidt fra barer og diskoteker, men døren er tilgengæld åben for gæster hele natten, så man kan komme hjem når man ønsker. Horrible breakfast with rotten fruits and lots of small flies. The bathroom had a very loose and broken toiletseat which was brown and yellow underneath the seat. Nothing was done about this. The room was very small so avoid this hotel unless you are really in desperate need of a place to sleep. The area is very nice, quiet and clean though.

Okay hotel pænt og rent på værelserne. Flink personale i receptionen. Dårlig kvalitet af morgenmad, bl.a. for gammelt frugt .men man kan jo bare spise morgenmad ude. det er stadig et billigt og godt sted at bo. Tæt på undergrundsbane.

hotellet ligger i gå afstand til mange seværdigheder. Det er et fint og velholdt hotel og personalet er meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Værelserne er ikke luksus, men man skal jo heller ikke opholde sig på værelset :-) Morgenmaden er typisk engelsk morgenmad, dette kan godt blive for tungt. Men alt i alt et godt ophold på hotellet

St. Simeon er beliggende i et hyggeligt og fredligt kvarter, ikke langt fra spisesteder, pubber og undergrund station. Huset er et tidligere overklassehus fra 1800-tallet. Ombygget til hotel for mange år siden. Hotellet fremstår slidt og trænger til en kærlig hånd. Hotellet drives som et familie-foretagende som er meget imødekommende og som gør alt […] for at gæsterne skal føle sig tilpas. Værelserne er sparsomt indrettet med behagelige senge, TV, bad og toilet. Morgenbuffeten er ikke luksus men et solidt måltid bestående af brød med ost, skinke, marmelade, bacon, varme pølser, frugt, kaffe og the. Da spisestuen er lille, sørger personalet for servering i rigelige mængder. Skal du bare have et sted at sove og stiller du ikke store krav til luksus på dit hotel, er St. Simeon et udemærket sted til prisen. Læs mere

Small and cheap hotel in Kensington. The hotel was really well located, close to Gloucester Road st. The management we very eager to please, but the breakfast was horrible, and generally some weird incidents. But if you only need a place to crash at night, its fine and an ok price for London

Jeg havde booket en forlængende weekend til mig og min datter i hendes 10 års fødselsdagsgave. Hotellet lå godt i forhold til dét vi gerne ville se. Sigthseeing bus stoppede lige rundt om hjørnet. Men hotellet var og er bestemt ikke anbefalesværdigt. Meget lydt og meget små værelser. Elendig morgenmad og service ikke eksisterende. Vi havde et dejligt behageligt ophold. Et hotel som man vil bruge igen og igen. Det eneste minus var, at internettet kun virkede i spisestuen, signalet burde være kraftigere.

Location is very convinient, close to the tube. The area is nice, however the hotel is very old and in need of renovation. We are a family of 5 and it was difficult to find accommodations that would fit all of us. St. Simeon was perfect! Plenty of beds for all and within walking distance from tube to all the major museums. Hotel staff was outstanding as well. By far the friendliest people we met in London. I would recommend this hotel for its location and friendly staff, however the accomodation standards are poor. If you are visiting London for a couple of days, are on a budget and don't mind hostel-type accomodation and don't intend to spend much time in the hotel, it will be fine. Pros: 1. Close to Gloucester Road tube station, Picadilly and Circle […] Lines. Only one tube ride home from West End. 2. Located in Knightsbridge, a very safe area 3. Can use the kitchen facilities including microwave, kettle etc (expect when breakfast is being prepared by the staff) 4. Exceptionally friendly and attentive staff 5. Very cheap for the area! 6. My daughter and I were upgraded from a double to a triple room at no extra cost. 7. The other travellers we met were all very friendly. Cons: 1. The room smelt damp 2. The single bed was so lumpy that my daughter and I shared the double bed. This was our original plan as we had only booked a double room so we weren't upset by this. 3. The room desperately needed a refurb - the toilet cistern lid was broken; the wooden veneer on the tv stand/cupboard was warped stood a couple of inches above the the top it was supposed to be attached to; and although the bathroom was clean, it had black mould growing in the corners. 4.There was no hot water in the mornings for a shower. Evenings seemed to be OK. 5. One of the plug sockets didn't work. 6. The curtains were too small for the window. Læs mere

The hotel was conveniently placed for tubes & busses,but the room was VERY small, & had no tea making facilities. The dinning room was also , very small, & cramped, even down to the size of the tables.Tea & coffee , served for breakfast, was usually only warm.If you had cerial, they didnt wait for you to finnish them before bringing the cooked English […] breakfast, which was of poor quality food, and left you juggleing to find space to put it.There was plenty of fruit to be consumed, but there again, either the bannanas were 1/2 black, apples & pears small, and like as if picked off orchard floor, with scabs etc on them. One evenning, we went to the kitchen to make tea, as we were told we could, on going in the fridge for milk, the bottom shelves of the fridge were running with blood & juice , off the bacon.Sorry, not the sort of place we would frequent again, or recomend. Cheap hotel near tube station and central. Walk distans toi Harrods, a fiew minutes by tube to Oxford Str. The hotel staff wa serviceminded, friendly and very helpfull.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and the service is also excellent - the owners are friendly and polite. The rooms are very small and their quality isn't too high, but they'll do, especially if you're not too picky.

The hotel location was fantastic, it was located in a very safe afre and a few minute walk to Glouster Road tube station. The staff were very helpfull, its basic acomodation but very comftable. i would stay here again for another 1 night trip or if you are not plannying on spending any time in the hotel room.

Our room was on the top floor, it was not specious but the beds were comfy, it was clean and windows were easy to open. We stayed at this small family run hotel on our vacation. It is in a 4 floor townhouse in South Kensington, only a few blocks from the Gloucester Road metro station. It was very convenient for Kensington Palace as well as the Victoria & Albert Museum and Natural History Museum. The staff was very helpful and they serve full English breakfast. Central, extremely quiet and safe location, good breakfast, cleanliness, minimal but satisfactory room comfort, friendly staff. Kitchen facilities available free of charge. Could be a little cheaper.

The Hotel situated in quite street of South Kensington inside residential area. The rooms and furnitures are now dated and need renovation. We stayed at the St Simeon so we could attend a concert in the Royal Albert Hall. It was a lovely walk to the Hall, only about 20 minutes. The hotel itself was horrible. Very old and run-down. Our washbasin was attached to the wall with one thread and the toilet looked like it was originally from 1890. The room itself was so small that one of us had […] to sit on the bed to let the other pass. There was no room for our luggage. The shower curtain was new as was the shower head. The water was warm in the mornings but cold at night. The breakfast was good. The staff tried hard but it is difficult to enjoy yourself in such conditions. Absolutely fab friendly staff. Good breakfast - plenty of food. We had a quad room, has a ensuite built in. Very basic room and some parts of the hotel could do with some repair. But for price and location an excellent hotel, you get what you pay for. When I travel to the UK to visit family on the east coast i'll usually book a last minute hotel in London to make my journey to LHR a bit easier. I found the St. Simeon because all of the other hotels had been booked. The hotel is conveniently located near the Gloucester tube stop, just a short walk to left and right off the Picadilly line that will […] take you to LHR. That's why I always choose this South Kensington neighborhood. However, the hotels in the area were going for three times what I paid in that area in the past. That's how I discovered the St. Simeon... was the least expensive and had free wifi listed. While I walked up to check in they first treated me like I had walked in to try get a room while they were totally booked. After plunking down a 3GBP deposit for a key on a VW car keychain, I was escorted up to my room in the tiny lift. The room I was assigned was 25. Two heavy doors to open then into the dingy, musty room. It consisted of two single beds, and old tv, and a nightstand. The bathroom was filthy. Shower still had shaving stubble stuck to the side and the shower head itself would not stay up so had to hold it the entire time. No soap or wash cloths provided, just a towel. Beds were alright, sleep-able but thin sheets which made it cold at night. The window had been cracked open and was unable to close it and two odd shape curtains covered a quarter of the window itself allowing light in. The free wifi which is mentioned didn't work in my room. One of my selling points to the hotel. This was a huge disappointment. I took my laptop downstairs asked if they had a lounge to sit in. Just the dark little kitchen and dining room downstairs below the check in desk. Even down here the internet was slow. The staff were friendly but would walk around trying to push the moldy fruit and coffee off on you. Overall it wasn't a very pleasant stay. Convenient to two tube lines and the Museum of Natural History, this hotel is cheap, comfortable, and above all friendly. The desk was very attentive to our needs and the breakfasts were splendid. Excellent hotel in this price range.

Compared to the other hotels at this price, we got what we paid for but we were definitely happy with our stay. The room was small with 2 small twin beds. The sheets smelled a little musty which was a bit uncomfortable to sleep in, the private bath and toilet was very clean, the staff was extremely courteous and helpful, the complementry breakfast was […] more than what we expected-be sure to get there earlier than later because the dining room gets full quickly around 8-ish. The hotel was located in a posh area of London, surrounded by 4-star hotels and nearby restaurants and close enough to catch the tube to take you to either Heathrow or Gatwick airport or to any neighborhood you wish.
