"Horrible sleep"
The king bed was like sleeping on cement and there was hair all over the shower wall. We stay at a lot of Hiltons and this one was not like the rest. Not worththe the money we spent.
"Hilton Garden Inn in Dover, DE - Near Beaches"
This is a great location and the hotel is almost brand new. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is blocks from Delaware State University, Dover Downs and the exit for the beaches. They have a restaurant which we went to for breakfast on Sunday morning of the weekend and it was reasonably priced

Hotel met all of my expectations except that I was checking out at 630 AM and there was no one working at the front desk. The kitchen staff were helpful in taking my information and card keys for when the front desk person returned though I could not get a receipt.

Rooms were very clean and confortable. We were only there for a one day event at DSU. Made the stay nice.

The stay was awesome and the room remarkable but the bed was too hard and had a tough time trying to sleep.

We only at the restaurant in the hotel for convenience one evening. It was amazing! I would eat there just to eat there.

I stay in a lot of hotels every year. This hotel is in great condition, but the staff are really fantastic! They went above and beyond at every opportunity. Excellent work out facility and a great set of weights.

"nice comfy room"
I enjoyed my state. the room was nice, comfy, clean. A good deal for the price I paid. compimentary wireless internet is always a plus. the only negative is that it is initially hard to see. It sits back off the highway and has no sign on the highway, so if you are not paying attention, its easy to drive right by.

The staff was GREAT! Lots to do, great area.
Our stay was a great experience. checkin was a breeze and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We ate at the hotel restaurant for breakfast and dinner and were very satisfied. We will be staying at the Hilton Garden hotels in other travels. The staff is great Debbie
"KING SIZE BED"
We had a very bad sleep at night because the bed which was a king side bed. Single folks would sleep on one side so if two people occupied the bed the bed would feel like you're on a hill. I couldn't sleep next to my husband because of the crookedness in the king bed.

I was surprised I had to pay for the breakfast buffet. I went next door at a breakfast place and got it for 1/2 the price and it was waitress sit down service. So that is why the No recommendation for this Hotel

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean. We had an excellent dinner in the hotel dining room. The only negative for us was that the hotel was a little further from the race track than we had thought and we carry a lot of stuff to the track, so we opted to park on thet rack lot. However, we did see a lot of people […] walking to the hotel after the race, so for some it was close enough. I would definately stay there again on race weekend and if the weather is a bit warmer, I would try the walk. ' Læs mere

Hotel staff was very courteous and Hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay and even though breakfast wasn't included with the room, we took advantage of the eating a nice meal where we weren't rushed.

From the beginning spoke to Roxy the front desk rep she was wonderful! She was just as wonderfrul when we checked in an asset to the hotel. Everyone from the housekeeper to the cook was also wonderful. We loved our stay there, Clean room, and wonderful ammendities. I would recommend this hotel to many!!

"Great quality but bad signage"
We just spent 1 night at the Hilton in Dover...the hotel is wonderful and has the Hilton quality we've come to know and expect but we drove right past it as the hotel is set very far back and tucked behind another establishment and there is no signage along the highway to direct us back there.
"The perfect place for our time in Dover, DE"
Everything was very positive with one exception. since we booked through "a third party provider," a daily newspaper was not delivered to our room each morning and the overall feeling from most of the staff was less attention than a "full pay" customer. Other than that, the hotel was a very nice place to stay.

I've stayed in other Hilton hotel chains and thought breakfast was included in the cost of the night stay. It wasn't nor was it labeled as a cost until after we had already gone through the ala carte section. There is a labeled cost for the omelette bar/order section but not the ala carte so needless to say, we were surprised when the waitress said […] that will so and so cost. "Should have stayed at Sheraton next door"
The hotel was clean, the location is convenient, but the service was pretty lousy. It took ages to get change from my bill for breakfast, no checkout papers were left under the door as promised, housekeeping didn't come clean anything after our first night, and getting back some lost items after our stay was a mess. This property is located 10 minutes from the casino and track. at Dover Downs. The area around the hotel seemed safe. The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and comfortable, will stay here again.

Saw a brand new hotel & thought great!!!! NOT!!!! My Our daughter slept on pull-out bed and there were no sheets, pillows or blanket for her bed. Only one person working desk so I had to go downstairs to retrieve everything! The front desk clerk kept me waiting and kept checking others in instead of attending to me. He didn't even have an extra pillow--had […] to steal one from another room. Breakfast the next day was a joke...nothing complimentary as expected...5.95 for coffee and bad bagels...if you wanted something "hot" it was 9.95 pp. We asked the staff the next day where the state capital building was and they couldn't tell us and they had no maps ...what a joke.. The property is brand new and AAA 3 Diamond rated. It is very well kept, the staff is friendly. The restaurant is nothing to write home about but it has room service.
