"Average budget hotel close to the University of WY"
My wife and I stayed here for Discovery Days at the University of Wyoming. The motel is average for places on a budget. They accept pets, which is why we chose it. Just make sure to declare that you have a pet (we did) or else they can charge you a steep fee for sneaking one in. They also "upgraded" us for free to a room with two queens instead of one […] king. This worked great for our dog, because she got the second bed all to herself. The surrounding neighbourhood is a rougher side of town, but nobody gave us any trouble and the motel was pretty quiet. I would recommend walking with another person at night for safety, though. Our biggest disappointment is that the room was a little cold. We didn't ask the staff about this, but we think that the thermostat may not have worked properly. Nevertheless, the room was clean, and the housekeeping staff made our bed and replaced our towels everyday. They also had cable TV and free wi-fi Internet to help ease the boredom. Læs mere

"Clean and comfortable"
A nice motel with basic amenities. Although a bit older the room was clean and comfortable. The rug was spotless which I appreciated. Many motels in Wyoming are full of oil and gas workers staying there; hence the carpets are full of oil/dirt stains. My Motel 8 room was well maintained. Nice laundry facilities available 24 hours. "Comfortable room for a great price"
This room was much better than I anticipated. The room was comfortable and the price was great. New flat screen tvs and being right next to Corona Village were bonuses. The front hotel staff is less than friendly and wouldn't let us check-in early, but it's not a reason to exclude this hotel.

I guess I misunderstood, I thought it was a Super 8 motel when I booked it. That is partially my fault, as I did not ask that question. It was older, the exterior condition was only fair. However the room was clean and acceptable. The clerk gave me the wrong key to begin with and the internet did not work. We enjoyed our stay in Laramie. We weren't at the hotel much, mainly for sleeping and showering! We would stay there again...probably next year when the festival is happening again!
"Inexpensive place to stay when visiting Laramie"
The Motel 8 is conveniently located off the I-80 at 3rd (the main drag) in Laramie, just shy of two miles from the University of Wyoming campus. It was a great place to stay while visiting my daughter, as I was not in the room, but on campus, during most of my stay. The bed was relatively comfortable and the shower was adequate (plenty of hot water). […] The free Internet worked quite well. With the HVAC on, I could not hear ANY noise from outside. The neighborhood's not the nicest, and it's not really within walking distance to anything, but it was perfect for the price. I was placed in a room towards the back of the property (away from the freeway) without asking, which was a nice touch in customer service. The negatives: no breakfast or pool. "Motel 8 in Laramie - great for a quick stay"
We stayed at Motel 8 in Laramie during our cross-country move. It was convenient to access off of I-80 and a great bargain. Although the motel looks old on the exterior, our room was clean and well-kept. There was a nice 32" flat-screen TV, mini-fridge, and a coffeemaker in our room. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower had great water pressure. […] The downside of being close to the freeway was that it was a bit noisy though. We really just needed a place to sleep while we moved our daugher into the dorms, and this facility was adequate -- a good buy for the price.
"Pleasantly Surprised"
I was very worried when my husband and I pulled up to the hotel cause the outside area looks a little run down, but once we got into the hotel I was very happy about how clean the room was. It was very convenient to the freeway and to a lot of nice restaurants. It is not a lavish hotel but for the price I was very happy.
"It is older but we would stay here again."
The only problem we had we our room is that since it is an older building they have the old metal keys. Well we had a hard time opening the door. Once inside we found the room very clean. The room had a coffee pot, fridge and microwave which we didn't use because we were there for one night. The beds were very comfortable so after a good night sleep […] we were back on the road. "Off the highway crash pad"
The exterior ofthe hotel is not very impressive. The parking lot is in need of repair and some of the exterior railing are rusted through. The inside of the room was adequete, but I found it strange to still be using a "key" to access the room. The location right off of I-80 is very convenient and this place is okay for a night and works well for […] people just looking for a place to crash for the night. Don't confuse this with the super 8 We had to stay in Laramie because all the motels in Cheyenne were sold out. Frontier days. Take advantage of this fact. Not real clean, not fancy, but nice very late at night.

Not alot of perks, but hotel was clean and up kept. Good value for your money.
"ugly neighborhood on the seedy side of town"
We were exhausted from driving across the country but decided to try and get out for the night. We had a cat with us which limits the hotels in any area and adds to the cost ($10-$20/night). We chose motel 8 for combination of pet friendly and price and booked it an hour out of laramie, which meant no cancellation. Iwas dismayed to see it. It's ugly, […] ugly nad tucked into an industrial area at a hwy overpass. There was nowhere to really go to eat except for a mexican and chinese place and nowhere to walk to as the nice downtown part was miles away. Having said that, the rooms were a good size and very clean. Bed was comfortable and it was quiet. Front desk didn't know wifi password and wes struggled until we got it sorted out an hour later. We gave up on going out and ate in room and slept instead. Inside of room was decent for the price but outside was sad sad sad. After driving through Laramie there are plenty of dismal looking motels where the rooms are unlikely to have been that clean inside though. Læs mere

It was close to both Highway 287 and Highway 80 which we used. Though it was a convenient location, it was in a kind of run down area. The motel itself was clean and comfortable.

"Motel 8- Laramie, WY"
Hotel is old and not maintained well. Bathroom was dirty. Convenient to I80 but area of town was rundown.
For the price, the hotel was fine...clean, fresh linens and towels, good water pressure. The only REALLY BAD thing was that the coffee in the room SUCKED!!! I'd stay again, but bring my own coffee.
"Nice room for little money"
I had very low expectations rolling into the cheapest room in town. From the car,the hotel looks a little rough, like the cheapests hotel in town. Upon check-in I found the staff courteous and nice. In the room is where I was pleasantly surprised. Newer carpet (always a bonus) and a very nicely equipped room. 37" flat screen, mini fridge, microwave […] and coffee maker. The furniture was nice as well. Now it is an old motel, but inside the room I felt as comfortable as I would in a $100+ room. One thing to note staying in the cheapest room in town and it's drawbacks, like there are usually some pretty sketchy people who hole up and live out of the cheapest nightly rate in town. hh Læs mere

"Summer room in Winter"
My wife had stayed at the hote in the summer and it was fine, but during the winter this is not the kind of motel you would expect to stay in. The wind blew snow around the door, and through the air conditioner. I had to put a coat on and walk aroudn during the night just to get warm since the heater would not keep up with the cold air blowing in. Hotel was fairly clean and neat. Loved that it was just off I-80 and easy to find. No real complaints - it was a budget hotel so it was what I expected no more, no less.

"Better than expected"
Clean, good beds, good shower, relatively quiet for location and the fact that it was booked full. Only negatives: understaffed at check-in for the situation, and the TVs in the rooms were not very good.

It was actually better than expected. There was Wifi available which was a nice surprise. they also had new LCD 37" or 42" TV. The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly!
