I enjoyed it ill be staying again

The hotel was awesome.....the rest of my trip sucked. There's no way that a cab ride should have been 25 dollars to get there from the ferry.

Hotel staff was very friendly. Made the stay more enjoyable!

There were a good number of options for breakfast including pancakes and scrambled eggs and bacon. The hotel are also really good in helping with anything you forget like a toothbrush, shaving gel etc. If they have it they give it free.

This place did NOT meet my expectations. When we arrived we discovered that I would be unable to have adjoining rooms and due to this my husband and I slept in separate rooms. I understand that since I booked through Hotels.com I was mislead. But when entering the room the was just a foul order of urine throughout both of the rooms. In the rooms my […] husband slept in there was still trash under the bed linning laying on the floor. Breakfast the following morning was pointless. The entire "buffet" was poorly stocked, there was no cinnamon buns, Hot meats or eggs. The pancake machine was also not working. Which left you with the option of horrible tasting coffee and cold cereal. The womens bathroom across the hall from the Cellar's dinning room had the same foul order as the bedrooms did. One stall was completely without toliet paper. I expected a Holiday Inn to be taken care of much better then this. It was disappionting bringing my family to sleep in this environment. Læs mere

Called to request a shuttle pick up from ferry the day before and was told there is no shuttle. Hotels.com needs to correct this as I expected free transportation to and from hotel!! Not too happy to have to pay cab fare both ways.

Room was much smaller than it appeared in the picture. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but the continental breakfast was pretty good. Staff was very nice.

I do a lot of my bookings online so i rely on written reviews: Hotel was conveniently located can be tricky to get to if your not familiar with staten island, Staff very friendly and super helpful, Room was very very clean, a new hotel so i expected that but i hope they keep this up, the view was ok but i chose this room for the price over anything […] else, the breakfast was delicious healthy options available. we ordered online at least 2 weeks in advance and got great rates. Having relocated to the Washington DC area, I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn when I returned to the NYC area for a quick visit. The Holiday Inn is brand new and located at a quick promity to everything. The best part was the customer service- everyone was so friendly and helpful. Made coming home better than I remembered it was!

The chair was staines and even though the hotel was new it was a liottle runned down. The staff was awesome and nice.

This Holiday Inn Express in Staten Island NY is THE WORSTE! The house cleaning was the worste, the sheets werent changed 2 out of 4 nights I stayed. You have to call the front desk for face cloths, I thought that came with fresh towels! I do believe prostitution goes on at this hotel. Most enjoyable time. But the king size bed room r just a little to tight. No room to move around. Other that A-OK

NOt what I expected at all, had previously stayed at comfort inn, small but clean and comfortable. No comparison, won't stay there again.

For a quick overnight stay, this hotel is not bad. The rooms are small and there is no bathroom countertop space to leave toiletries, etc. Breakfast was great and the staff was very helpful and courteus. Overall, not bad, just ok.

Let me start by admitting that I unknowingly booked the wrong hotel in a rush to get a room due to issues at our home. We needed something on Staten Island and as comfortable as home for one night. After my husband realized we were not booked at the right hotel, he arrived to this one to find it was a neighborhood we would never choose to stay. There […] was a boarded up hotel right next door. The lobby was a little disheveled. The hotel had a strange odor in the hallway. When he got to the room, the bathroom smelled, as he described, “as if it had been cleaned by a homeless person using urine soap”. He filled the tub with hot water and shampoo. It definitely helped. Later we noticed the comforter had a huge dried blood stain on it. At this point it was late and we got a new comforter and went to sleep. The next morning, the smell in the bathroom smell was nauseating. We did what we could to get out as soon as possible. I took the iron they provided but couldn’t find the ironing board. I called and ask for one. I was told, “I’m not sure where it is but I will let you know”. We then got a call a few minutes later letting us know that the only ironing board wouldn’t be available for a few hours. I ironed my clothes on the floor. The hotel is very clean and the service is excellent. The full breakfast is very nice. Top notch place all around!

Located near the local bowling alley with the BEST pizza and fun for whole family! Short drive to the FREE ferry, so no anxiety over New York traffic. Hotel was decent, wished they had all-day coffee and an indoor pool, but pool not necessary if you out all day anyway. Everyone was nice, staff great, neighborhood people great. I felt safer in New York […] than in Philly! Would absolutely go back! Only thing that wasn't great were hard beds, but if you like hard beds, no probs! room not clean, reported it twice--way over-priced for size of rooms. elevator very slow. Only thing good was breakfast. would not recommend it to any friends and will not go back..its a shame for fairly new hotel

We checked in after midnight and we were greeted by what must be the friendliest staff member this hotel has! Im sorry that I don't remember his name. He did EVERYTHING in his power to help us with the shuttle, directions into NYC and anything else we asked for. Great place to stay if you don't want to pay NYC prices. This will be a nice hotel when it is ready. They recently opened, but there are many issues that need fixing. Our first room, the AC did not work and the phone was not connected. They changed rooms for us, but the second room also had problems. The AC did not work, the room was dirty, garbage in the trashcan, and there were not other rooms to move into. […] It was hot all night! They need to check their rooms and unsure they are ready prior to placing guest in them. Læs mere

The rooms were very small. The rugs although only a few years old were not clean and worn. There was a strong smell of room deodorant suggesting a cover up of a lack of cleanliness. The floor of the tub needed a cleaning. On the positive side, the staff was freindly and the breakfast was acceptable.

Clean, functional, nothing fancy. Room a bit on the small side and beds were double, not queen. Clean, nice closet/storage space, wireless net and has a window you can actually open. Nice flat screen TV, too, but no HD connection, which seems a little silly.

This hotel was awesome and the staff truly incredible! They were very friendly and went out of their way to make all your needs and desires taken care of. The free breakfast in the morning was darn good for a free breakfast. The hotel is super clean. The rooms are a little small but that's New York for you and the only issue I had is the hotel is off […] the beaten path, so you until you went to and from it a couple times it was a little harder to get too. is shoehorned into space between two other new hotels. they are conveniently located near the expressway. the room was quiet, but had little extra space beyond the two double beds it contained. the room also contained a desk and free wireless internet. the breakfast was quite good; it included scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes made to order with a […] pancake machine. the staff were helpful, especially the breakfast room staff. when all three hotels are complete, i don't know where the guests will park! The front desk person could not have been nicer. He went out of his way to locate and print out directions to a graduation we would be attending the next day in Brooklyn. Our AC was not working correctly, but in due time, someone did arrive to fix the problem. The hotel linens were excellent and we enjoyed the breakfast the next morning.

I booked this hotel for a family member. They told me that they enjoyed the hotel, but the rooms were a bit small. Overall great experience.

The hotel was great had breakfast everyday. Really liked the pancake maker never saw one before. Staff was always helpful.

I thought this was a very nice hotel. I would recommend it. It is a little far from the ferry to NYC, and the neighborhood a little dicey, but I never felt unsafe. the only thing that I really wish was different was the beds...not very comfortable. This is a nice hotel with good service, breakfast, etc. The only problem is the long distance from the train stations. However, I would recommend it to anybody who needs to save money.

After I was refused a late checkout (checkout was at 11am), I was woken up at 8am by 3 different housekeepers despite my "Do not disturb" sign. The walls are paper thin and I heard crying children all night and doors slamming by 7am. I finally got so frustrated I decided not to sleep after about 4 hours of trying and I attempted to get a bottle of water, […] which was totally unavailable. So were any stores the area. This hotel worked for what we needed it for...just a place to crash. It was easy to get to after crossing over the bridge because we had a GPS, without good directions it would be really hard to find. The Holiday Inn Express Staten Island provides much needed comfortable hotel accomaodations for an area lacking such. All hotel accomodations for this area are either in the city or across the bridge in Jersey. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable; but the furnishings left lots to be desired. The desk was small and tucked in the corner, the armoir […] was small and tall garments would not hang fully. The location is difficult to reach and there are no other services nearby. THE ROOM WAS DIRTY.IT WAS NOISY AT NIGHT BECAUSE THE PEOPLE OUTSIDE OUR ROOM KEPT SLAMMING THE DOOR.THE PERSON WHO WAS SUPPOSED TO CLEAN LEFT PAPERS ON THE FLOOR ALL NIGHT.OUR ROOM SHOULD HAVE BEEN VACCUMMED BUT YOU COULD SEE CRUMBS ON THE FLOOR. I WOULD NOT GO THERE AGAIN
