Staying one night as attending a wedding. Arrived at 6:00 p.m (wedding was at 7:00) with little time to get settled and freshen up. Upon entering our room, found the West-facing room with drapes open and full sun shining in and no AC turned on. Temp in room was 84 degrees. There was also no remote for the TV. I went downstairs and they promptly moved […] us to another room. The other room was fine but thought a few things could be better. Pillows looked like someone just threw them on the bed and made one wonder if the sheets were changed. There was no toilet paper roll holder so the roll was just sitting on the cabinet next to the toilet. Bed was comfortable and staff was very accomodating. We travel to the area about every 6 months for Dr. visits. We try to stay here when we can. We enjoy the fact it is away from the busyness of the city, yet close enough to drive to shopping, restaurants and then into Dallas for Dr.

When I arrived the clock was not plugged in so I bent over the night stand to plug it in. I could not believe how dusty & dirty it was behind the night stand. Other than that I had a wonderful stay.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express after a concert at Southern Junction, and ended up being very happy that we stayed. The hotel was in a good location, and felt safe, and the room was very comfortable and clean. The front staff personnel were friendly and helped us with restaurant information The room was huge and it had two queen beds in it. It was quiet up on the third floor and we slept great. There were tons of pillows. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Very nice hotel and the price is very reasonable. And it included breakfast the next morning.

It was easy to get to, lots of nearby restaurants, downtown not far, and quieter than I expected for being so close to an interstate.

We have to travel to Dallas periodically and try to get reservations here every time. Although a little way from all the hub-bub of the big city, we are very comfortable and the drive in does not matter to us. We enjoy the quietness and overall atmosphere of the hotel.

Only reason i picked this hotel was for a pool for hot texas weather.... of course it was down for maintenance. they did give me a free roll away bed for one of my rooms, that was nice.

My second time to stay in this hotel in less than a month. It is really a nice hotel and very affordable. Great decor and ambiance. The breakfast was excellent, just wish they would leave it out until 10 am on weekends!! I did bump my rating down a little for "comfort" only because i thought the bed seemed a little less comfy this time, the mattress […] seemed harder than the last time i stayed here. Not really a problem though and I will stay here any time I'm in the area. The location is very close to Rockwall, where you have great shopping and lots of great places to dine. Læs mere

We loved the hotel with a few comments to make about the management. We were there for six nights and for five of the nights we could not get our door to shut tightly. One of the nights we returned to find the door open. Every morning we reported to management and they assured us it would be repaired. It was on the last night of our visit! Breakfast […] was great with the exception of the last morning when there was NONE. People working seemed to have no idea what what going on as someone had quit - again a management problem. We had two rooms for the six days and the last day there one of the rooms was not cleaned at ALL! But all in all it was a great place, very clean, very friendly, and great beds! Læs mere

I paid for three rooms with double beds however; when I got to the hotel they changed my rooms to single beds. I was told that they upgraded my rooms to a king suit. I had four adults staying in each room. One king bed was just not going to work. They had three rooms with double beds when I made my reservations. The hotel just changed my needs with […] out contacting me. Most of my party had to go find another hotel to stay for I was told that they (Hotel) had overbooked there rooms. Three of my guys stayed in a room, on the first floor, without running water. They were told they would have to go up to the second floor to take a shower in a room the the air condition didn't. The hotel was above standard. The people running it failed to monitor the guests they let in. I was awakened twice by non English speaking people. First was Spanish speaking children running the hall and shouting at each other. I called this in to the desk. Later people (Spanish) in the next room who sounded drunk were talking and laughing very loud […] woke me. Terrible stay. I was tired when I arrived and even more so when I left. We stayed in 4 hotels on our vacation and this was the best by far. It is in a small toen but not to far from the city and the hotel looked brand new.

The hotel was very good. However, when we opened the door to our room, a blast of smoke smell greeted us. I called the front lady and asked her if she could give me another room. She said no. She offered to bring some deodorant, which she did not. She was busy gossiping with a young man for a long time. A lot of guests were walking around with cigarette […] packets in hand, though not openly smoking. Wow! Very nice! Everything is new, modern, comfortable,affordable, roomy and nice people. I would definitely recommend this hotel. We are a family of four that stopped through on our way to Austin and I would have stayed there a week or more if we had to. Stay here!

This is a wonderful hotel, about 1.25 hrs from Dallas but worth the travel; my only complaint is when Ibooked the room I requested a King bed, and when we arrived it had us in a standard double room-- wouldhave preferred the larger bed. The rooms are super clean and the staff were all great.
