fin hotel, god beliggenhed. et godt sted at komme som familie.

Total dårlig morgenmads restaurant. Overhovedet ikke plads nok og folk måtte sidde i baren og i receptionen for at indtage morgenmad. Derudover er buffeten stort set tom, mælken var dårlig og alt mad var faktisk under al kritik!

Hotel is clean and ideally situated for City Centre. No Hotel parking although there is a large car parking area nearby, with a concession for hotel guests. The room was pleasant and very clean. Traffic noise was quite apparent at night.

We enjoyed our stay here, overall. However, these beds were among the hardest we experienced during our holiday in Scotland. The beds were so hard in fact, that I ended up sleeping on the loveseat while my husband wrestled with the "boxspring" feeling matress. The breakfast was fantastic and the staff were on top of everything and very pleasant! Hotel Service let down by shortage of cutlery/plates/seating space at breakfast on the first morning and lack of hot food on the second morning. The front door was graced by someones prawn meal from the night before lying on the pavemnt and not being cleaned up. Bad image on arrival. superb location close to railway stations,city centre,ibrox.very good Italian restaurant next door.everything about this hotel was first class.will be staying there in all future visits to Glasgow.

This is a great little hotel if you want something near Glasgow town centre. The only draw backs are Car Parking and included breakfast. On Car Parking, there are two open car parks near by, but the nearest secure car park is about 4 mins walk away and past a fishmongers. Still at £2.50 over-night it is not bad. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel apart from a few little reasons. Firstly we were not best pleased when we were accosted by a security guy before we were even in the door later that night, to find out if we had a room key.We are all for security but he could have at least let us in the door and out the cold first. Impressed for such a good price, room very clean, staff were very pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Great location for the o2 Academy.

Hotel staff was really helpful, even checked in well before stated time, no issues what so ever.

One of female staff was impolite when we check in.

everything was fine except not working properly AIR-CONDITIONING and my boyfriend...ex-boyfriend..but the location is even more than perfect ! thx for lovely stay!

Very friendly staff - only slight irritation was that we had booked the hotel room for 3 people but the sofa bed had not been made up.

This hotel is ok, nothing more, possibly a little less. Staff was really very friendly and nice, but hotel awfully basic. Bathroom was a little dirty and toilet had a bad smell of urine (from arrival & throughout our stay)... Don't understand why. Couldn't they clean it properly using bleach? Hairdryer was ancient (poss 80s?) and didn't work. TV was […] tiny. Sofa had a big dirt-stain on cover (wonder when that was cleaned last?) + points for good quality sheets (well done... that really makes a difference!). Room was quite cold + difficult to control temperature with air-con. Kettle tiny & very poor selection of coffees and teas. No snacks or complementary cookies at all. No mini-bar or fridge. No wardrobe. Breakfast was plentiful but very basic. Would have likes fresh croissants, better quality jams and vegetarian alternative to meat sausages. I was completely satisfied with all aspects of my stay at the Holiday Inn Express Riverside in Glasgow - it was ideally placed for Glasgow city centre but despite this it was quiet through the night - great night's sleep! However, I paid for bed and breakfast ... the breakfast is supposed to be a self service with hot and cold options however when we […] went down to breakfast (40 minutes before breakfast stops being served) there was no hot food left. We were told to wait ten minutes for beans to go with the cold scrambled egg... twenty minutes later the beans arrived but the scrambled egg was finished ... a huge queue built up waiting for the sausages we were promised but nothing arrived. We gave up after half an hour of waiting and went out for breakfast. The staff did not attempt to explain the problem with the hot food to a very busy and increasingly annoyed breakfast room, instead they continued topping up the muffins (which no one was eating) and generally ignoring the queue. Close to all amenities, clean & comfortable room, pleasant, friendly staff & excellent breakfast. Would recommend & stay again.

We stayed here (group of 3) for a weekend shopping trip to Glasgow. The hotel is easy to find but not central, although it is only a few mins from the St. Enoch Centre and Argyle Street. The hotel was comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly and breakfast was good. I'd stay here again in a group as it was very reasonably priced.

Stayed here with friends for a short break no complaints excellent breakfast included in the price.

Great location for shopping and SECC. Only down fall is we payed (cheap) for 4 people in the room but were not happy about the 'sofa bed'! If we were told we could have four people there should have been enough room, where as there wasn't! The sofa bed was little bigger than a double and was in awful condition. Hard, felt the springs and every move […] it squeaked! Other double was fine as was rest of hotel! Little more selection for breakfast would be nice but fine for what u pay for! Very helpful staff, comfortable room will definately be returning.

Location was great and the room was fine but the free breakfast was terrible. The milk was off, the bread was stale and the orange juice was just concentrate. Plus staff were eating as they cleared table. Not good.

Overall a satisfactory stay. Breakfast on Friday morning was very shambolic, as not enough space to eat.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Were happy to take care of some stuff we needed frozen and refrigerated. Just nice people who actually cared. Rooms were simple but clean and modern. Exactly what you'd expect and hope for for a Holiday Inn. Easy walking distance to Glasgow Central. Would recommend.

Great staff and after getting a room that was right on the street side which was noisey I asked to be moved and we were given a larger room on the river very pleasent change. Location great.

What you'd expect from a Holiday express. Close to shops.

Nice hotel. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Only downside was the location. If you are flying out of Prestwick early in the morning you don't want to stay here as transportation to the airport can be costly. If you are flying out midday, it shouldn't be a problem.

Room had stale smell of cig smoke. Carpet was dirty with stains. Old TV with remote not working. Very noisy location with busy pub opposite. Noise pollution from main road - Double glazed windows not effective in keeping any noise out.

Hotel is situated close to the shopping area in Glasgow. Close to central station and has friendly staff.

Maintenance of room not particularly good .... location and service fine.

My daughter and I spent a long weekend in this city centre hotel. We read the reviews in advance and were prepared for the noise from the pub/disco next door on the Saturday night. Despite that, we would definitely go back there - perfect location - helpful staff - comfortable rooms - the only thing we could find to complain about was that it rained […] the whole weekend - but that was nothing the staff could fix! End of the city center stretch so little quite. Good spacious, comfortable rooms. Breakfast is decent but options are not enough to keep a person interested for 6 days. The front desk is helpful and very courteous. All major attractions are within walkable distance. So good choice for visitor with a short duration

Staff very friendly , location excellent.

We were there for 4 nights over the Easter Weekend 2011. The room was a good size ,ideal for 2 adults with a small shower room(wc&basin). The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels every day. The reception staff were lovely - day and night.One negative is that there is no safe in the room and I suppose we could have left our passports at reception […] but would have preferred it in our room putting our own combination on.Very central location and the hop on hop off bus stop is not far away if you decide to go on the tour. The ticket lasts two days which is good value. We went to Glasgow University and the Tenement house which was excellent.Our room looked into the back which was great as we did not hear any noise.When we returned late at night the lifts didnt work and we had to walk up.thankfully it was only 2 floors. the hotel has five floors. nice hotel, but didn't have: 1.) room service (could order from take-aways) 2.) fridge in the room 3.) toiletries in the toilet (although there was a sign that said you could ask for toiletries) would definitely have expected a fridge and room service for £55 a night

Good value. Decent sized room, clean, nice staff, ok breakfast, central location. I'd recommend it. Internet is not free though (apart from in the lobby) and the room was a bit chilly and did not have proper facilities for someone who's in town for business and need to work from the hotell. But overall, a good deal!
