You could hear noise in other rooms and out in the halls too easily, but other than that, this was a fine room, with fine amenities. Easy parking, close to the I-610, lots to eat nearby even though there's no on-site restaurant. The snack store is nice, though. I enjoyed staying here.

Very disappointed to be put in a smokers room and apparently it was heavily smoked in. Unfortunately my profile is non smoking due to big allergies. Management unable to transfer rooms. Miserable experience.

I had a hard time finding the entrance to this hotel. Also, there was only one luggage cart and this was a problem for me. I had a four year old with me and had to get him to help carry things. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen area was nice and clean. There was a lot of noise during the night with people coming in at all hours of the night but this […] was to be expected. Relatively new looking, safe paking, good amenities, good staff, free shuttle service to local areas. There is no daily housekeeping service but dirty towels can be exchanged at the receptionist counter for new towels. Would recommend as a great value for money spent.

We are in the medical center annually for checkups and have stayed in several moderately priced hotels. This was the best - the entire facility was very clean, the room was spacious, bed was very comfortable and ac/heat worked efficiently. Maid service is provided only once a week but you can change towels at the front desk as often as you like. The […] guest laundry facilites are free and very clean - you can either bring your own detergent or purchase it in the lobby store. There is a decent gym facility but no swimming pool. The kitchenettes in the rooms are large but there is no breakfast service provided so you may want to pick up some coffee, juice, fruit, cereal etc to stock your room if you're there for more than a day (also recommend bringing paper plates, cups so you don't have to wash dishes - there is a dishwasher but limited serving pieces). If you do not have a car, there is a Golden Corral restaurant and a Whataburger within walking distance and the lobby store has frozen and microwave food. Shuttle service is very efficient - 15 min from the hotel to MD Anderson - and they will make stops at grocery stores or pharmacys along the routes during mid-day hours. This hotel worked very well for us but if you require daily maid service or complimentary breakfast, you may want to go elsewhere. Læs mere

Our suite was very nice, clean, and furnished with a full kitchen. While we only needed to stay one night, it was comfortable enough to stay for extended stays.

This hotel is extremely good value for the money. Staff are friendly and courteous. I had most of my meals using the kitchenette in my room. The room is very comfortable. I used the hotel shuttle to get home from the nearby Krogers grocery store and used the shuttle to get back and forth to my med appts. Loved the hotel and it's location. The only complaints i have are minor. The water pressure in our bathroom (sink and shower) was way too low. The front A/C unit didn't cool the bedroom well when the door was closed. The biggest surprise, in a good way, was that the laundry facilities are free! I stayed here while in Houston for a few days. Overall, I would like a place where your bed is made and your room is clean every night. Though, the space and the comfort of the room were above average.

Desk clerk insisted he did not have a reservation or a room. I gave him my Hotels.com confirmation and payment. Kept saying that was not his hotel's confirmation and he knew nothing about the Hotels.com conf numbers.Suddenly he changed his tune but not his attitude. Demanded driver's license and credit card. On prepaid rez, he needed to charge $45 "security […] deposit." I told him I did not want to charge any incidentals, please turn off the phone because I have my cell. Hotel does not sell or offer breakfast, just coffee. Desk clerk on the phone much of the check-in time with someone else. Very bad first impression. Once I got into the room it was OK. I stayed in this hotel room for two nights. Service was excellent and the staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The amenities were great. The only complaint I have is that there was a pool listed for this hotel and while they do physically have a pool it is not operable as they are removing it to build more rooms.

We arrived on a Thrusday. Hotel has very small parking lot; however, my rear wheels were stolen off my Cadilliac Escalade at 10:30 @ night, right under the parking lot light. This facility is located just off 610 and easy to get in and out of. No business center which is a real downer. While you can bring a laptop, it is very hard to take along a printer. Could sell off some exercise equipment and purchase a desk top and printer that would get far more use.

I really liked the hotel. It was very close to the Reliant stadium where were going to watch Disney on ice. I only live 40 min from there and the only reason we booked the hotel was to take advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub. This time of year it gets a little cold out. The location was initially hard to find. I rarely get directions which include driving through taco bells parking lot. Nonetheless this place served our needs well and was priced right. In Louisiana I prefer Ascension Corporate Rentals for extended stays. But in Houston candelwood was a fine choice.

I've stayed at the Candlewood Suite at the Medical Center several times since it opened a few years ago. The hotel has yet to disappoint. The staff is friendly and considerate. Accommodations in room are what I'd expect from a 3 or 4 star hotel. This isn't a hotel to turn your nose up at because of the brand name.

I liked the kitchenette, the workout room and the pool. They don't clean your room or empty garbage. They do have free movie rentals and a dvd. It is kind of a "trip" to MD Anderson. I wish they had had a king size bed. It was a good deal

This is a GREAT place to stay. It's near a lot of restaurants, the rooms are excellent, they have free washer and dryers and the rooms come with small stoves, large refrigerators...i have nothing but good things to say about this hotel.
