I was overall not impressed with this hotel. The front desk staff was not helpful or friendly and they nickle and dime you. We had to pay for a local call, there is an internet fee and valet fee. On a positive note, the breakfast was good and the cleaning staff was friendly and did a good job. Overall, it was not worth it.

I really loved the room. It was spacious and clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was large and allowed multiple to get ready at once. The fitness center was really nice too. It was clean, organized and had ice cold water and fresh apples. I did not like the art work on the walls. They were the same boring display on every floor. […] Thats not a big deal but thought I would throw it in there. There is no pool, but we didnt need one anyway. The lobby seemed a little dead but was deorated beautifully. I didnt even notice other people staying at the hotel. It was quiet and comfortable. No one complained about our gathering, which is a plus. The ice machine was completely empty which was super annoying. It was nice that there was a parking ramp that only cost $4 for the entire night. It was a great location downtown...it would be even better if it was closer to 1st ave. Hotel Minneapolis is, downstairs, a classic old marble pillared bank building (complete with the original vault) renovated into a contemporary and exciting place. Upstairs, the rooms are, somewhat improbably, redone in mid-century modern, but it works. The rooms were renovated not long ago and all the amenities are there -- they are wonderful spaces. […] The lobby and bar and restaurant downstairs are terrific. Fun place to stay downtown. Great staff and service overall. Food was very good. Bar staff was just OK.

This is a relatively new hotel (within the past 3 years). In my room (631) it had scuff marks on the walls. In the bathroom they missed spots on the wall with paint. Also in the bathroom the towel rack was not tightened to the point I was afraid to hang my towel on it. The control for the shower was extremely loose (I mean I was afraid it would fall […] off). In the room itself the desk was missing the veneer in the front. Don't they inspect the rooms? When I ordered a hamburger and fries from room service, I was told it would be about 1/2 hour. When an hour had passed I called and told that it would "expedited". It arrived 20 minutes later minus the fries-the hotel didn't charge me. Læs mere

The hotel Autograph collection is a beautiful hotel inside. The rooms are luxurious and worth the money. However, a major downfall of the hotel was the location. They had the skywalk and what not, but we did not feel safe just walking outside of our hotel. The streets were barren and each time we walked outside someone would approach us asking how much […] it costs to stay the night. In the morning I wanted to walk to Starbucks but that was not an option, considering the neighborhood. Not for kids. Overall, nice hotel. Læs mere

Valet parking for the day was expensive compared to other hotels in the area. The valet staff were very, very pleasant though! The beds were sooo comfortable and the modern bathrooms rocked.

We thought that the daily cost of the valet parking was high compared to other hotels in the area, but the valet staff were so pleasant that it almost made up for it. The beds were extremely comfortable and I really liked the modern bathrooms.

For the cost, the location was amazing. Clean, comfortable, and central to everything.

Was in town for 12 nights on business on my own. Reception upgraded my room free of charge and gave me access to the Concierge facilities. The hotel was very comfortable, room was quiet, and the bed very comfortable. Connection to the skywalk was an added bonus too. Only negative was I tried the restaurant for breakfast on Saturday, the service was […] average at best, the food slow, and not that great. This was the second time that my husband and I stayed at this hotel and we have enjoyed our stay here both times. The bed is very comfy and the room and bathroom are modern and clean. Very lovely hotel.

The staff here is excellent, I have stayed there 3 times now and it has always been great

Overall a nice place to stay. I found a deal for parking and breakfast included - definitely take advantage of that if you can. Valet service was very good and the hotel is close enough to everything else downtown that you can walk everywhere. Beds were super comfortable. The only gripe I had was bathroom cleanliness... I guess the guests before us […] had some fun in there and left the "residue" on the wall. Gross! In spite of that complaint, I would still recommend the Hotel Minneapolis. Læs mere

the hotel and our room was nice, clean and modern. Weve stayed here before on a previous stay. Great location and for the price we got for saturday night a great deal. However, this time around we ordered room service from max restaurant downstairs and was complete disappointed. Our order was simple..the max burger and chicken wings. Our burger was […] ordered medium to be delivered well done and extra crispy...it was burnt. The chicken wings were soggy and bland. For the price I expected a good burger and wings. I was completely,disappointed and if it had not already been a long day I wouldve sent the food back and made a complaint of the service. Hotel is good for the price...prepare for food somewhere else...they dont provide listings of restaurants near by...but dont waste your time on their over priced menu period. Læs mere

This hotel is beautiful and I was surprised by how cheap it was. The only complaint I have is that I think it was so cheap because they made up for everything in other charges. Valet for one night overnight was $30 (and there were no other parking options other than feeding a meter every couple hours or hiking in from a distant ramp), internet cost […] $11 per day, lots of fees associated with room service. Not terrible stuff, just made me lose all the excitement of getting a good deal on a beautiful hotel. The room was very modern, the bed SUPER comfy, the bathroom very swanky. The fitness facilities, which are always important to me in a hotel, were very new and nice and they provide water, towels, ear buds and fruit to make the most of your workout, all while enjoying a penthouse view of MInneapolis. This hotel is top notch and impecable! Changed last minute from another hotel that was HORRIBLE....and knew not only had we made the right choice, but his will be a preference to stays in the future!!!

Beautiful room, tall and elegant. The staff were the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, ready with a pleasant word and kind assistance throughout. The bed was VERY comfortable and the tv was mounted uniquely and made bedtime tv appealing and comfortable. Tall ceilings made a small room feel open. The hotel was very nice and clean. The only problem is if you are staying there you need to keep in mind that you pay extra for everything. Parking is very high $$$$, internet cost $$ to have in your room, and no continental breakfast. Most hotels in this area include these items. If you don't mind paying extra it is a nice place.

I think I had the worst room they had. I was on the 3rd floor looking into an adjoining office building. There was an alley between the 2 buildings and at 3:00am every morning, a garabage truck came to empty trash bins. And at least once an hour after that other trucks came into the alley. Under promise and over deliver was a great stay. Just wish had better parking in place of overpriced Valet.

The hotel rooms, common areas, and location are all very nice. However, my bathroom was very dirty. There was long black hair all over the shower walls, door, floor, and fixtures. Disappointing.

The hotel charges extra for nearly everything. Wifi and parking are extra, they are nice enough to set 4 dollar bottles of water on the night stands though. There are several other hotels with comparable rates and better locations.

I live in the West Suburbs of Minneapolis and stay downtown fairly often to avoid driving on late nights out. This hotel is the best hotel downtown that I have stayed in, service is great, the bar is great, the rooms are great, the staff has the greatest attitude. I will stay here on my future nights out.

This hotel was great! It sits in a more quiet part of Downtown Minneapolis but is connected to everything through the skyways. The room itself was clean and well decorated. It feels like a 5 star hotel without the price. I would definitely stay here again!

We've stayed here before and return because it's a Marriott hotel and is always comfortable, clean and easy to be with a dramatic and beautiful lobby and great breakfasts. I've also had access to the concierge lounge which is nice. The valet parking is very good and all the guys were friendly and prompt. The desk workers were confused at one point because […] we reserved through hotels.com without our Marriott rewards points and she didn't want to give me points because we didn't reserve directly. We waited until someone else was at the desk and they took care of it immediately. The lobby also has about six mac desktop computers in the business area free to use and a nice restaurant. It's a few blocks to the main drag where there are restaurants and theatres and at night it's pretty dead and kind of out of the way if you don't realize that Nicollet and the Target Center are actually quite close by. Super quiet rooms, but they are small. No refrigerators. Staff was kind but need to be outgoing/accomodating...I had to do the talking and smiling, It should be the other way around. Management must be lacking. Clean rooms (except for the bag of sweaty clothes in a plastic bag underneath the bed that housekeeping missed). Coffee pot empty at the front […] desk at 9am....FAIL. I often go to the twin cities for an overnight stay and have stayed at every hotel in Minneapolis and st Paul that is deemed the best and the hotel minneapolis is a second home. Walking though the doors to a grand hotel then the greeting at the desk makes it all worthwhile. I love that it is safe because you need to use your key to access the elevator […] and its in walking distance to the nicolette mall and also 112. The beds are to die for (super soft - but it IS a Marriott after all!), it's in a great location and attached to the downtown skyway, the rooms are quiet and dark (floor to ceiling drapes) altho somewhat small, the TV is enormous, there are robes and a safe in the room, the shower is heavenly, the staff is friendly and helpful . . . in other words a […] wonderful hotel in a beautiful old bank building. The attached restaurant, Max's, has great appetizers for a late night treat. Parking can be difficult - lots of one way streets - unless you want to pay the hotel $30/night for valet parking but they are the 1st to tell you to park 1 block away in the ramp on 4th and Marquette and take the skyway to the hotel for $4 - $10/night depending on the day of the week. We have kids living in Minneapolis but stayed here because hotels.com had a Friday the 13th 50% off special (and we even had 3 months to use it) so we thought we would treat ourselves - and are so glad we did! Stayed there for 3 nights with another couple over New Years. A very well appointed hotel, with lots of charm as the lobby was once a bank, with the vault acting as a wine celler. Walking distance to Nicolette Mall and Macy's, and Metrodome. LRT construction in area made it a little hard to get to. One negative was that they didn't have anything special […] going on in their lounge to bring in the New Year...hat, noise makers, and balloons would have added alot for very little. This was a last minute deal that I booked the day that I stayed. It was Awesome. Beautiful lobby, amazing rooms, great staff, walking distance to the downtown attractions. I will definitely be staying there from now on when I go Minneapolis. Oh and the really cool thing is they had a wine dispenser in the lobby.

This one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at, definitely would stay here again in the future. Close to the trail along the Mississippi if you would like to go for a scenic run.

Guest services has very nice and friendly staff, and the valet were very helpful with getting cabs or giving directions. The room itself had a very noisey hvac system, and the noise from the street (six floors down) really echoed.

went up for new yrs. with 4 other couples. age ranging from 28 to 50 . We all loved this hotel! great rooms. big most comfortable beds ever! and stayed in a lot of fancy hotels! we love the bar and restaurant Max. All around great hotel! they have free lincon town car service . used often fit 9.

Clean, comfortable and quiet rooms. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Common areas were nicely appointed. Breakfast buffet, awesome! Train station within one block, easy access to mall of america, airport and within walking distance to downtown and football stadium.

We recently stayed at this hotel recently and were amazed that everything we had read about the hotel on the net was completely true. Guest Services are horrible and offer no help. You may not think you need assistance from them, but when the heater keeps you up all night cuz it's on a sensor - every time you get up it turns on, and sounds like an old […] truck starting up... Or when you weren't given back up toilet paper- left with only .5 of a roll, and have to call down to ask for more in an inconvenient way Or when room service comes by at 4:30 pm to clean and tidy your room, right when you are getting ready for evening outings...(and we saw room service down a couple rooms in the morning when we left and told them we were gone now for the day so they could go ahead and clean) Or when there was a lipstick or wine stain on douvet and we were grossed out by what else wasn't washed properly When our shower (though it was fancy) was not clean, and you can see build up on the walls, on the first day of arrival! Or when the 2 green flashing lights from the smoke blink all night long and will freak you out and annoy you on your first nights sleep..by the 3rd you kind of get used to them Don't think you wont need to speak with Guest Services, cuz we didn't think so either, disregarded what we read on the net and took the deal we saw for the room. Not worth it at all. The beds weren't the best, the food was horrible (except for the french toast) and when we called down to have any of our issues resolved..... We were not apologized to even once. The Hotel's heating guy said to turn off the sensors...- well thanks for that, though the heating noise was still not solved. We didn't have our room cleaned ever We were told that EVERY room as those smoke detectors...so everyone has to sleep with blinking green lights over their bed And we didn't even bother to tell them about the rest- what was the point...they couldn't have cared less! Chic Hotel. Fabulous service who wanted to do more than just give you a room key. Valet staff was prompt and they always had a taxi available. This hotel was close to everything. Housekeeping staff was so nice and respectful of our time. AWSOME SHOWER and most comfortable pillows and bed. Clean and Chic. A++
