Det er et rigtigt godt hotel, med god service. Værelserne er rigtig gode til prisen. Hotellet ligger noget uden for centrum, men der busdrift hver 20 min. ind til centrum. Morgenmaden er lidt dyr, men den kan fravælges. Der er kun en restaurant i nærheden ud over hotellet.

Hotellet ligger ved indfaldsvejen fra lufthavnen til Edinburgh centrum. Der kører rigtig mange busser ind til centrum. Hotellet er fint til prisen. Rengørengen er fin. Servicen fra personalet i receptionen var langt over forventning.

wii fii charged at £16 per 24 hours, will not stay there again because of this.

Feel I have to comment on the my recent stay in the Hotel Inn in Edinburgh. The hotel is clean, modern and in a good location beside the zoo. However we had to book a table for a cavery meal the first night of our stay, which is fine. Hwoever we could not believe we were charged 10% service charge for our meal which was a cavery and had to serve ourselves, […] everything bar teas & coffees (Strange)... We really couldn't believe it that this was acceptable. So just wanted to let other folks know about this practices. Also another strange request was that ifyou wish to use the leisure facilities you had to book them. So we had to try and figure out if we'd like to use the pool hours in advance which kind of takes the enjoyment out of it. Læs mere

Great location and great staff. Bad smell of smoke in our corridor, very small bathroom and our double bed was pushed up beside a wall which is never a good thing! Breakfast was plentiful with great variety but really can't see how this was considered a 4 star hotel. Very dated and in need of a freshen up.

It was very comfortable. The room is a very good size but with the sofa bed open, room becomes very limited. I believe that they should find out if you want the extra bed open or not. I was a single person in a room and the sofa bed was open which limited my space when it was not needed open. I would have preferred it if it was just the sofa. The holiday INN is clean, good room. good location, 30 mins walk to Edinbrugh centre. We like walking so that was never a problem. Its right next to the zoo £10 in a taxi coming back late with a few drinks inside you. The negative for us about the hotel. We are 50+ the hotel dinning area and loby where packed with kids. Another family of 5 complained […] about waiting so long for breakfast and that the dinning area was like a canteen. We didnt pay for breakfast, we were so glad. We usally have a drink in the bar in the hotels we stay in when we arrive back from our day, here we kept well away. Also the pool was so packed that you had to book to have a swim. So this hotel is perfect for families but not for us. It was easter when we stayed I guess if you go when the kids are all in school it would be very different. good hotel next to the zoo

This hotel is situated right next to Edinburgh Zoo as in right next to it. It's perfect if you're visiting the Zoo or going into the city centre by bus as the stop is at the front of the hotel both going there and back. It only takes about 15 minutes to the city centre and costs around £2.80 return. The hotels public areas are nice and modern but I'm […] afraid the bedrooms are slighty dated with the old fashioned 70's doors and woodwork needing upgrading. Absolutely perfect if you're visiting the zoo and even if you're not. Clean, modern and spacious. Also contains the Sampans pan-Asian restaurant which was absolutely fantastic. Will definitely be returning.

We had a wonderful visit to the zoo which was literally next door to this hotel. It made the zoo visit ideal with my 3 year old who had tired legs from walking. Supercheap kingsize-bed room for two. Probably because it was january (off-season). Good breakfast with a beautiful view, nice pool area with sauna and gym. The Holiday Inn Edinburgh rates itself as a 4 Star hotel. Based on the service, condition of the fabric and state of repair I find this as a slight over inflation of the hotel status. The hotel claims to have two restuarants which at the time of my visit one of which was closed. The Pedestrain access to hotel from the main/road was in disrepair and […] simply fenced off with no sign of repairs being conducted. There was tree debris blocking the vehicle exit route which was not cleared for the duration of the visit. A bit inconveinent for the guests. Ideally located for the zoo but not for other attractions which, in Edinburgh, are mainly in the centre of the city. We stayed there with a granddaughter for her 10th birthday. The zoo is next door which was very convenient. Most of all we enjoyed the swimming pool and the convenience of the bus to go into the city centre.The staff were friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Stayed one night as base for short weekend break. great location as only 15 min bus ride into main centre so it was quiet compared to city centre hotels i've stayed in (no noisey drunk guests or Kids banging doors etc.at all hours) really clean room and clean spa/pool. Although annoying that spa tub switches off for 7 mins after 15 mins, odd!

It's literally next door to the zoo, so Its good bit outside town. Not ideal for romantic getaway as on tacky side of modern, but holiday inn is holiday inn. The decor was modern & clean, but not very in keeping w a stay in old Edinburgh for a couple weekend away. Stayed during new years so paid a fortune for small executive room, but the bus outside […] was v convenient, and loads of parking outside the hotel was great for those of us driving from elsewhere in UK. Found the jellybeans in the welcome package very charming!! Wouldn't stay again if I was in Edinburgh, but I would on new yrs as everywhere else half decent in town is super pricey... With warnings that it you allow water out you will be charged. When the bathroom is so tiny one can tell why that has been a problem. V cramped. A bit out of the way, but clean and tidy.

Great hotel if you want to be near the zoo, but otherwise on a very regular bus route into the city centre with free parking on site. Great base to see Edinburgh and enjoy the sights

We booked just for a one night stay so that we could take our daughter to Edinburgh Zoo (literally next door). We were pleasantly surprised by this place. The reception staff were very courteous and couldn't do enough to help and our room was great value - clean and spacious enough. The breakfast was also excellent - a nice clean dining area with […] a varied selection, all nice and fresh and the staff on duty here were, once again, tremendous. If your looking for a 4-5 day visit or even a weekend visit of Edinburgh this hotel is the choice! You have the Zoo right next door which is great value for money, also the bus stop is rightout side and goes to all the attractions, bus 100 will take you into the city for £1.30 and bus 31 will get you a 5-10 minute walk to the castle again for £1.30. […] The Hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful with these excusrions that i went on. I highly recomend the oriental restaraunt in the hotel fanatastic food for great value again. Room was kept clean and tidy every morning, Only slight issue quite expensive for a beer in the bar didnt expect to pay £4.10 for a pint!! Overall a massive thumbs up for this hotel loved it! Brilliant hotel will be going back shortly. Friendly happy staff very clean bus journey to everywhere outside of front door. Lovely pool sauna an jacuzzi. Would recommend it to anyone going to edinburgh. Liked it so much stayed another night an booked a later flight.

Nice hotel with great facilities. We had a superior room which had all the extras but was a bit small.

A truly excellent hotel right next to Edinburgh Zoo. Only 10 minutes by public transport to the city centre, as well as the airport and served by numerous buses. The hotel is clean and modern and I would definitely stay there again with no hesitation.

A weekend break to visit the main attractions of the city. Regular bus services stop outside the hotel located adjacent to the zoo. Room clean and comfortable. Made use of the leisure spa / pool.

I would recommend this hotel only if you are on a budget. Don't expect anything nice.

Great hotel great entrance and bar everything was good.

Perfect for being very close to the centre of Edinburgh and away from the noise at the same time. Very good Asian food, very good indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi. Kids stay and eat for free, and that is quite nice feeling for a parent.

Stubborn personel at front desk, dirty plates and cups at breakfeast .The childrens bed were not made upp yet when we checed inn past midnight(we had told them about late chec inn), they did not beleve uss when we told them the night was prepayd troug hotels.com. I had to pay fore internett to get my email to prove it.The same thing happend again when […] we checed out. It is imberesing that one hase to pay fore internett acsess in a 4 stare hotell. The hotel is in a fantastic location right next to the Edinburgh zoo and with plenty of free car parking. Front reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Buses run every 5 to 10 minutes right past the front of the hotel and into the city centre in about 10 minutes. I was looking for a hotel or B&B for a one day stay in Edinburgh prior to a flight back to the US. This Holiday Inn turned out to be a very good choice. It is located right next to the Edinburgh Zoo - it literally shares a common entrance with the zoo! There is a bus stop outside the hotel if you wish to visit the city center area (Princes St, Royal […] Mile, etc.) and the airport is also down the road 5 miles away. The Haymarket railway station is only 2 miles away! This was perfect for my short stay - nice, clean, comfortable room; fast check in and check out. No complaints. Remember that there are multiple Holiday Inns in Edinburgh so make sure you choose this one (Corstorphine Road, by the Zoo) Læs mere

Hotel was very comfortable and the staff was extremely pleasant. Only criticism is that Holiday Inn should offer free WIFI.

Great Hotel for us (2 adults and child aged 6), Ideally situated for the Zoo (They use the same car park saves you £4.00 on parking), Bus service to city centre right outside. We had no problems with the Hotel, the staff were very helpfull and friendly. We ate in the Hotel Chinese resturant a little expensive but very nice (Great View of the city). […] Breakfast plenty to choose from and again very nice. The room was ideal with a lovely view (572). A bit away from the downtown but buses 26 and 31 were available in front of the hotel. Not many places to eat near the hotel and internet was a bit pricey. Otherwise it was okay.
