Det er et super flot hotel, hvor der gøres et stort arbejde for, at der overalt er pænt og rent. Det er specielt golf mennesker, der bor der, da golfbanen ligger i forbindelse med hotellet. De små golfvogne suser rundt, så dem skal man tage sig i agt for. Det er dog pudsigt at ved det meget flotte morgenbord var det kun tilladt mig at få 1(et) tebrev. Det er rigtig godt tebreve, og de har måske været dyre, men da jeg havde fået 4 kopper kogende vand gennem det samme tebrev, var det efterhåndet ikke meget værd. Min mand kunne få alle de kopper kaffe, han havde lyst til :) Rengørin gen på værelset er meget flot, og der arrangeres blomster flere steder. Ved swimmingpoolen er der en restaurant, der reklamerede for pizza, hvilket vi prøvede. Det var dog de mest elendige pizzaer, man kan forstille sig. Det var som industrimad - ting fra dåse hældt på en forbagt bund. Der skulle være en bedre kok.

The staff at the hotel is not especially helpful, nor did they attempt to satisfy simple requests like "would like upper floor room". The hotel room do not have the capability of getting below 21*, makes the room stuffy. Cocktails are below average. Overall, I wish I would have spent more money and went somewhere else.

"Majestic Elegance Club worth the extra price"
At first I thought the extra money for the Elegance Club might not be worth it. However, after a day or two at the fully booked resort, I quickly discovered it was worth every penny. A private beach and pool makes finding a lounge chair or beach bed much easier. There are a few other extras that add to it, but those are the two big add ins.
"Honeymoon (Mamajuana Juice)"
We celebrated our honeymoon here and had a great time. Pros: The beach is amazing, the waters are clear and warm and there are plenty of water activities to keep going to the beach a new experience every time. If you prefer your vacation without the sand you can relax at any of the pools (some with swim up bar access). Throughout the day you can join […] in on the festivities from bikini contests to volleyball and at night you can enjoy live music and a new act at the theater every night (Michael Jackson show is by far the best) – get there early it fills up fast. The staff was very friendly and after a few tips they will remember your cocktail preference. Cons: Food – Typical all inclusive dining. There are a couple different restaurants. The Hibachi restaurant was the best, in second place the French restaurant. The steakhouse had good food but service was not up to par. The bed was hard, not the comfort that we’re used to. We were definitely not fans of the open bathroom layout, would’ve preferred that to be separate. No wifi access in the rooms. Helpful tips: If you want to try an authentic Dominican drink try the Mamajuana juice. My husband was a fan. If you’re in the mood for the buffet definitely go to the one indoors by the main building. It’s much better than the one by the beach. Get the elegance club upgrade it’s worth it especially if you don’t want to be around the kiddos that are on family vacation. This will be a tough review for me to write, partially because this was my first time at an all-inclusive resort. In any case, here goes... Our room: We had a great room with a fantastic view of the pool and the ocean. The mini-bar was stocked with beer, water, and soda. And we had liquor bottles on top of it. The bed was super comfy too and we had […] a double sink, jacuzzi, and shower. The "gripes" that I have are: * square toilet seats that were for giants. My feet were dangling several inches off the floor and I'm sorry but I'd much prefer your average rounded toilet seats ---much more comfortable. * toilet would flush away the toilet paper, not sure if this was because of weaker plumbing of a 3rd world country or a weak toilet. * our room smelled like cigarette smoke. I don't know if non-smoking rooms exist in other countries or not but it was rather unpleasant to come back from the outside to a room that smelled like cigarette smoke. Resort property (beach, pool, etc.): Fantastic, I can't think of one bad thing. Service: Great service from seemingly friendly people (I'll get to this more later) with the exception of one night. Our party of 40+ people had organized a night where we took over a large portion of one of the buffets. We arrived at the time that they told us which was a 1/2 hour before they actually opened up. In any case, by the time our entire party showed up, we started sitting down maybe 10 minutes before they were actually open. They asked us to get up and leave (no big deal) but what wasn't so pleasant was the tone in how they were asking. Also, I heard one waitress saying "adios" in a rather condescending tone. Which leads me to question whether their employees are actually friendly, bubbly people or only appear that way on the outside and are actually hating the tourists on the inside. "Majestic Elegance - Fun time"
It was very picturesque location. The room was nice but there was a musty smell coming from the a/c and the food wasn't very good. The Elegance Club made it worth the money and I would go back if I had another room regardless of the food.
"Horrible Service"
Worst service ever! Room service took 2 hours for food. Every time we called to check on the status they said "it will be there in 5 mins". Same thing when the patio door broke (left wide open about to fall over) and TV wouldnt turn on. To top it off the following morning there was no water and they kept giving the "5 more minutes" story for 3 hours!!!! […] Ended up just going to the pool to brush my teeth and taking a shower. Besides the service, the hotel was pretty nice and clean. However the food tasted horrible. Almost like they pop open frozen food, microwave, and place in buffet(s). "Hotel Majestic Elegance"
Very large 5 star resort. Had no issues at all. Resort is very clean and organized. Food is good to very good. Lots of activities. Beach is clean as is the water. Employees are very helpful and courteous. Only downers...the room towels are sub-standard, pillows are very small. I would have no issues going back again.

"Games the Majestic Elegance Punta Cana plays"
We booked adult only Majestic ellegance room with a beach view. We called twice to confirm such a room would be avalible and we assured that was the case. When we arrived we were told there were no such rooms avalible. Our reservations clearly stated that is what we purchased. We ended up in a ground floor a musty room with a view to the service road […] with diesel trucks going back and forth . I took several pictures. After much ado we were relocated to a room the next day that met our expectations, we lost a whole day. As we got to meet other couples at the hotel we found out that 9 couples had the same thing happen to them. Seven of the 9 all between the ages of 30 and 45 ended up in the room they were given 2 other couples one from Washington State and the other from Canada managed to get there room changed to the room they booked. They were both experienced travelers and didn't put up with getting something less than they paid for. It seems to be a game they play. Other negatives included were you were only allowed one beach towel per person. most people do not want to sit directly on the lawn chair because the plastic sticks to them. One towel for the chair and one to wipe after going in the pool or ocean would have been nice. So to solve the problem we had to bring towels from the room to the pool. I would have much preferred to be responsible for 4 towel cards instead of two. I understand that if you don't return your towel or the cards you must pay. My last negative is the elegance lounge the computers didn't work half of the time were outdated and very difficult to manage. Now on the other hand when we were finally settled we had a great time. The adult only pool was large, there were plenty of chairs and cabanas. The restruants were surprising. If you asked for medium you got medium. Lots of variety. We stayed at this resort 12/26/11 - 1/1/12 to get away and relax. The resort is large and though newer showing quite a bit of wear & tear. Our 1 bedroom suite was spacious, and clean however closet handles where loose & would fly off, door hinges askew and a strange "rushing water" noise would come out of the tub during the night (no water running in […] the tub itself - just very loud noise from the drain). Some staff were very pleasant as one would expect, however the majority did not smile or greet. Grounds appeared well maintained and plenty of chairs & palapas on the beach - never felt crowded. Staff were constantly walking the beach to pick up empty cups/water bottles, etc. Food was plentiful, including many fresh fruits and salads. We enjoyed the variety, however if you are expecting gourmet meals you will be disappointed. As mentioned in other reviews, getting towels for the room is extremely difficult. 3 of our 6 nights, we had to keep calling & requesting towels for over 2 hours. Aminiation team has many activities going each day, posted on a main board. Unforthunately nothing targeted specifically to teen guests. We stayed at this hotel for 3 days, in reason of my sister's wedding (that took place at the hotel). Everything was perfect: room, restaurants, beach, weather.... My wife and I spent a week at this Resort. Just perfect, superb. Everything was perfect. The beach is amazing, the rooms are very good, the food was excellent but the nost important part is the staff. Since the moment you check in every member of the team makes you feel like family. Always a smile in their faces, Dominicans are so humble and they do […] whatever is needed to make you feel at home. The Funjestic team is just superb: Chocolate girl, cofee gilr, Micheal, Julio, So So, Yonny Bravo,,,all of them are so funny and so willing to make you have a good time. 100% recommended. "Perfect vacation hotel"
Just what the doctor ordered if you want to relax - spacious rooms, beautiful scenery, great and very welcome staff. Food selection might not be as good as in some other hotel in Dominican (we've seen better), but overall this is a very tiny minus to the otherwise perfect vacation.
"1st Anniversary"
My wife and I just celebrated our 1st anniversary at the Majestic Elegance. We couldn't be happier with our experience there. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. They treated us to private romantic dinner for two for our anniversary at no extra charge. Would definitely recommend and we will go back again.

The Majestic Elegance is a great place to stay -- plenty to do, no need to leave resort unless you want to go on excursions. The people were very friendly and warm, the pool and beach lovely, and plenty of food choices to satisfy everyone's preference.

The resort was very nice with very friendly staff and beautiful beaches. The food was just okay. My favorite restaurant on site was the Italian one. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend this resort to everyone.

Stayed at the Majedtic Elegance for 6 days in Aug 2011. Great beach, great pools, great service. That's the trifecta for me at all inclusives. I highly recommend getting a swim up suite. It was awesome to have direct access to the pool. We also had our own personal Bali bed since we had a one bedroom swim up suite. Very cool! Miguel and Francisco at […] the Elle pool bar were amazing! My cup was never running low with Miguel serving drinks around the pool. The concierge was awesome and helpful as well. Had a butler. Saw him twice and that was it. He never called to check on us, like some other butlers that other guests had. However, anything I needed was handled by Elegance Club concierge. I highly recommend upgrading to the Elegance Club. Well worth it! Again, beach was great. Water was a little wavy and not rocky. Pools were awesome. I was back and forth from the Club pool to the main pool where the swim up bar is located when I wanted a little more action. Muy applause to the animation team! Service at the restaurants and bars were great. My glass was never empty and it was always service with a smile. The food was very good to good. But I knew that going in. I only got sick one night and I'm sure it had something to do with the 20 Bailey's with milk I consumed in one day, lol. My boyfriend ate everything in sight and he didn't get sick once. We also used tap water to brush our teeth. It was my first time in Punta Cana and for all I get at the ME for the price, I don't see myself going anywhere else in PC. This actually might be my favorite place to vacation so far in the Carribbean and Mexico. There were very few children at the Majestic Elegance, which is a plus in my book. I love the kids, but I'm a schoolteacher. So when I want to get away, I want to get away, lol Tips: bring singles to tip, pepto, alleve, floats for the pool, an insulated mug, at least 2 bottles of sunblock(very expensive at the gift shop), and a great attitude! "Great honeymoon at Majestic Elegance"
We stayed at the Majestic Elegance for our honeymoon. Upgraded to the Elegance Club. Elegance club included a couple private lobbys with snacks, computers, water bottles, coffee, private pools and beds, and separate area on the beach (less crowded). It also included premium liquor at all the bars, which you have to ask for (ex Black Label, Chivas etc). […] The resort was very nice, excellent landscape design. Several different pools, some quiet, some loud. Both buffet foods were pretty good. The restaurants were great, we loved the French, Italian, and Steakhouse. The French menu scared us at first, but it ended up being one of the best tasting meals. The staff were all very friendly, from bartenders to waiters, to maids etc. The beach was very nice and clean. The seaweed was cleaned in the mornings. We had a great time and will come back to this resort next time we visit Punta Cana! Læs mere
"The property is beautiful, but the food is blah"
I chose the Majestic Elegance for the first half of my vacation. Let's just say that I am glad that we are not staying the entire time here. The grounds and the rooms are beautiful. The food is barely edible. We ate at the steakhouse and the steak was okay, but instant mashed potatoes are a serious no. The japanese restaurant is good if you like hibatchi […] style food. The sushi is another story. Sea & Sea is not even on the same class as Red Lobster, but then again, I'm in the DR. If you are drunk enough off of the cheap liquor, then I guess the food won't bother you too much. The onlyhe best two liquors that I could recognize are stoli and smirnoff. All in all, it's a very nice resort, but maybe not the best if you are looking for a great overall experience. Oh and it didn't help that my husband got food poisoning. "Loved the beach"
The Elegance Club upgrade is a must. Got special attention and the private beach was to die for. Food at buffet was excellent but speciality Italian was the pitts. Did not like Asian because too much salt raised your blood. But overall, I would stay here again and I must say that the beach is awesome. "Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Great Hotel"
My wife and I stayed at Hotel May 21 2011 thru May 24 2011. We had a GREAT time. Everything was wounderful, from the check in, to check out. The staff, food, drinks, rooms, everything and all staff treated us as kings and queens. We will return again. Alex, The bartender was outstanding. Beach was wounderful,lovely, breathtaking.
"Beautiful Beach and Grounds"
My husband, 2 year old daughter and I just got back last week from Punta Cana. We checked the weather before we left and I thought we were in for some rainy days. It wasn't so. The weather was perfect! Sunny and breezy every day. The airport, transport and check in were smooth. I bboked a swim up room so when my daughter took a nap we could still lay […] outside and read a book. They gave us a perfect spot in the first building which was well enough away from the pool bar that we could read and nap in peace. The room was very nice and clean and the cleaning ladies came every day. Two complaints about the room was the air conditioner was extremely loud at times and right over our heads which aggrivated all of our throats. We all had a dry cough. If you open the door it shuts off the air, but then it got too hot. One really minor complaint was the robes. They need to buy new ones. I know it is silly, but it didn't make a good first impression. Food was average, but seafood, breads, fruit, pastas and salads were very good. Italian restaurant was great. Anything fried wan't. Once I got in my food groove I was happy. All beverages were good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We never had a problem with service. The kids area was not exciting. I didn't plan on going there and had she been three I wouldn't have left her. It's far removed from the beach and pool which would make it difficult to pop in. The baby sections was messy and did not smell very good. Plan on entertaining your kids if you bring them. There are no kids activities ouside the kid area. Overall we had a great time. I can't say enough about the beach and the grounds of this resort. There were some guests that lacked in manners, but that is usually unavoidable. Læs mere

"Majestci Elegance - 7 days in paradise"
Just back from Majestic Elegance Hotel in Punta Cana. With few exceptions, a marvelous experience. Weather fantastic, staff warm, friendly and engaging. Property clean and well groomed. A hint for 1st time arrivers. Do NOT be afraid to tell the restaurant staff to slow down. If you allow them to dictate your pace, they will have you in and out of a […] meal in 30 minutes. A note to the bartenders, dipping a glass in water does NOT amount to cleaning the glass...try some soap and a rinsing agent. I was served at least one drink in a glass that still had lipstick on it. Other than that...all good. Upgrade to the Elegance Club if you can. Some nice extra touches, a little less crowded, and you will have the chance to meet MAXIMA, truly one of the nicest and hardest working hotel associate you will ever meet! Læs mere

We had a great time with family and friends at Majestic Elegance. The rooms were very nice, big, and clean. The staff was very friendly. The food was great as well. We loved the buffet down by the beach. The wind, waves, and beautiful scenery were amazing. We would recommend this resort.

I have been traveling to the DR for over 12 years now. This is by far the best experience yet. I just got back and can't wait for my next vacation. The hotel was just beautiful. The service was outstanding. I highly recommend adding the club services. it really made a difference for us. The private pools, the canopy beds along side the pools are great. […] Just make sure to reserve it with your butler. Yes , there is a butler service basically to cater to your needs. Starlin was the best. He was very down to earth and was always answering our questions. The food was great at the buffet. The rest. by the beach was great for breakfast and lunch. Drinks were great. Top shelf is all inclusive at the club side. We really enjoyed that. The only thing i would change is to reserve a room right by the pool next time. You just step out the balcony and you and jump into the pool or sunbath in your own canopy bed. As far as entertainment, my favorite show was the circus. Great tricks. The nightclub was great. The wonderful manager, Mr. Wilkison, turned a very disappointing start to a very nice experience. Our first room was horrible in every way and the manager moved us to a beautiful suite for the remaining 3 nights where we were able to enjoy our stay. The grounds are beautiful; the staff does not speak English fluently so there are missed communications; […] the food was tasty and the drinks were delicious. We attended a beautiful wedding that was first class in every way. The over all experience is not a 4 star one; possibly a 3...what is missing is the feeling of luxury...not enough towels in the room, robes that are thread bare and ill fitting, no lounge chairs on the large balcony...the small extras that give you the feeling that your stay will be special in most ways. Without the manager's involvement our stay would have been the worst ever..having to have a manager's involvement makes us down grade the hotel to a 2-3 star experience...not a 4. Læs mere
"Majestic Elegance - Punta Cana"
The grounds, the pools and the beach were amazing. We upgraded to the Elegance Club which was really not anything special. Everyday we struggled to find beach towels. The guest that did not upgrade had plenty of towels but because we were with the Elegance Club, they would not allow us to use their towels. It was really annoying. My husband spoke Spanish […] and that helped us get some service. I do not speak Spanish and when I was not with him they were rude and annoyed that I was even speaking to them. Finally, the food was horrible, it made for a long week. The best place was the Japanese place and it was only ok. Overall it was an ok vacation but I will definitely not go back. Læs mere
"Very elegant for sure"
We satay in the Club section and it is exactly as they describe no deception...My only critic of the hotel is the house wine, not very good but you can buy bottles at your meals. We are Tennis player and we brought our equipement even if they are not saying anything about Tennis training and Lesson on the web...so we did lessons with Tony overthere […] and this is the reason why we will go back in November I already book the hotel because we learn a lot . Tony is from Spain so he is teaching the spanish technique...different and great...is a great coach...our next tryp will be lessons every day for me and my husban. Our room was beautiful and the view was incredible. I just want to go back we did a lot of different hotel on the Bavaro beach...but this one is my choice Læs mere
"Great facility, but worst service EVER!"
We stayed in a swim-up Jr. suite room but first of all, the room we were supposed to stay wasn't even ready when we first checked-in. They told us to stay in a different room all the way back and far from the main lobby on 2nd floor. And we were supposed to move to our original room by 12 pm on the 2nd day, but the room was not even getting ready at […] all. We kept the front desk but they were not polite at all. I had to yell over the phone to get our original room! We thought this was ENOUGH, but on top of this at the beach, it was packed with people with only few chairs. We have a baby and had to sit on the sand and looked for a chair everywhere but there was no sign of it. I finally went up to one of the staff to ask to get us more chairs and his response was "Today is PACKED!! No more chairs, OK??". Finally, a French guy sitting next to us felt bad and went to talk to one of the managers to get us some chairs. He had to scream at the guy to get the chair. On top of this at the Seafood buffet restaurant, my baby and I were treated horribly. The seat they gave us had no siverwares, glass(w/ no water), and never asked for drinks or picked up our dirty plates. Also, they didn't even try to bring us a high-chair that I had to look everywhere in the restaurant!! This is crazy for a price we paid and we were so disappointed and mistreated. The only thing made us feel fine was the great Ocean (which is not really a hotel's part) and children's pool, and the food. Facility overall was though very clean and neatly organized. However, adult pool was too cold even though outside temperature was over 85 degrees everyday! they should have it heated. Lastly, I am 4 mo. pregnant and was getting body massage at the spa (it was an apology gift for not having our room ready), and told her I was PREGNANT, but this massager kept doing a very strong massage all over my body including stomach. "The Best Vacation Ever!!!"
I was a little hesitant before arriving to the hotel because of reviews I had read. I was very impressed the hotel had beautiful grounds, rooms are huge, food is good, LOTS OF DRINKS!! and the Staff was excellent. I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE!

I highly recommend the Majestic Elegance hotel! My boyfriend and I stayed there during the first week of August. It was our first trip to the Caribbean and we had a fabulous time. The staff is very polite and friendly. The food was great- check out the Italian and buffet restaurants. The beach and pools were very clean as well. I would recommend purchasing […] the Elegance Club package since you get your own concierge and more personalized service. "Bom para descansar"
O atendimento em geral do hotel é excelente, mas se acostume a ter notas de 1 dolar para gorjetas. Isso pode determinar o seu atendimento, principalmente nos restaurantes e quanto ao serviço de bebidas. Apesar de ser comum nesses resorts luxuosos, não fizeram nada de especial quanto ao fato de ser nossa lua de mel, mesmo tendo informado pelo site e […] tambem no check in. "Fantástico!"
Fui em abril de lua de mel para o Majestic Elegance levado pela popularidade do mesmo entre os usuários do Hoteis.com. Superou totalmente minhas expectativas. O hotel tem uma infra-estrutura fantástica, serviço perfeito e comida maravilhosa. Tanto os quartos quanto o hotel em si são muitíssimo bem decorados (renderam fotos belíssimas!). Reservei uma […] suíte júnior que tinha 50 metros quadrados, cama super king size e banheira de hidromassagem com a mesma vista da varanda do quarto. Era confortável, arejado, chão todo em mármore. Tinha ar condicionado, ventilador de teto, frigobar, TV com dezenas de canais, cofre, duas cubas no banheiro e uma ducha fantástica (daquelas que são jatos saindo de todos os lugares). Os dominicanos são pessoas maravilhosas, super animadas, brincalhonas e estavam sempre dispostos a ficar batendo papo furado conosco. Reconhecem os brasileiros de longe e nos tratam de uma forma diferente, até mesmo especial. A comida dos restaurantes é maravilhosa, com um destaque para o Nine Doors que é o restaurante oriental deles. É uma grande festa comer nele. Me decepcionei um pouco com o restaurante francês porque a comida é muito sofisticada e acabou sendo muito difícil escolher algo que eu gostasse (e olha que eu como de tudo). Por estamos em lua de mel, ganhamos um jantar romântico na praia (fantástico!!!!) e um café da manhã no quarto. Recomendo a todos e voltarei lá numa próxima viagem com absoluta certeza. Læs mere
