Chariot Beach Resort - Mahabalipuram

I stayed at the resort in the first week of the March with my husband & 7 yr old son and i would call it a good stay mainly because of the following reasons. We had booked a cottage for our stay and I would say that it was better than what we had expected. The resort has access to a private beach and we really liked having the beach just to ourselves; […] plus the pool was really nice. The staff was friendly and attentive to our needs; the overall quality of service is good. The only negative point that I would say is the food; its very expensive and not upto the mark though the breakfast buffet were sumptuous and to my liking but I suppose that the mangement/staff needs to look into this area. Even salary is paid to stay in this hotel, we will not stay. Toilet smelled like rotten fish market, bed room smelled like urine, full of DDT sprayed on the corridor. My entire family got sick. Zero customer service. 40% of this rate you find fantastic hotels such as Ideal Beach Resort or raddisoon Blue nearby. The reception desk was too rude. The CEO […] was hiding from us. Bed spreads are not washed but recycled. We were badly bitten by mosquitoes inside the room (4 mosquitoes /cubic feet on an average). No security system. The staff are totally disgruntled and complained about management. We got flu and high fever due to bad smell in the room and DDT on the corridor. Food made us diary and vomitting. They advised that the breakfast would be open at 7 am and we planned our check out but the cooking staff reported to work after 7.15am. The swimming pool is not maintained. Except my family I saw only one more local family from Delhi and they wore full of anti-mosquitoes patches. The access to beach is not maintained and a lot of snake (cobra) alnog the way. Staff told me that hotel management strategy is to list highest price so that everyone will pick this hotel but management do not care about providing any services to guests. Reception staff are busy in polishing the administrative staff even they stopped providing service to guests and attend the administrative staff request. Administrative staff advised them to ignore the guest and bring information for their work. I stayed over 160 hotels all over the world. I never see a hotel of this worst in my life. There is no security checks to the hotel. Only one restaurant with no choice. I found the curries was cold (ice) in the middle and hot at the edges. No flowers in the hotel to alter the smell. I still wonder why the CEO cannot talk to us and get our feedback directly from us instead of hiding inside the room (We showed courtesy to all staff) as we speak the same local language like all other staff. This is my 2nd stay at the resort, love the place, close to all attractions yet quiet and calm, friendly & helpful staff, nice views. definitely would recommend to others.

IT WAS QUITE AND NICE BUT IT LACKED AMENITIES.IT MAY BE DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS STILL UNDER CONSTRUCTION.ROOM DID NOT HAVE A BALCONEY OR SIT OUT AREA.I HOPE IN FUTURE THEY MAKE IMPROVEMENT.LOCATION IS GREAT.

We were travelling with a year old children and all the staff has been very very nice. They cook special fod for the baby and provided a special baby bed. Food was good (buffet). The convenience of the hotel location is exceptional. I woudl highly recommend this hotel.

Dieses Hotel wähnt sich Luxus-Kategorie zu sein. Es stimmt aber auch garnichts hier. Der Architekt kann sich unmöglich etwas Gutes gedacht haben im Sinne von Schönheit und Bequemlichkeit. Die Cottages haben ihre häßliche Rückfront zur Poolseite. Aufs Meer kann man nicht schauen, weil die soggenannten Seaviewcottages den Blick versperren und einfach […] zur Poolseite eine häßliche unansehnliche Betonwand zeigen. Der Poolbereich ist ungepflegt. Der Pool ist das einzig Gzute an dem Hotel, es stehen jedoch nur ca 10 abgenutzte Liegen mit abgenutzten schäbigen Auflagen herum ohne Sonnenschutz. Die Handtücher sind alt und fleckig und mit langen Fäden wegen Abnutzung. Die Deluxe Cottages sind innen tagsüber dunkel, die Fenster gehen auf die Straßenseite. Die kleine Terrasse vor den Zimmern hat nicht einmal einen kleinen Tisch. Das badezimmer ist mit offener Dusche ohne Abgrenzung zum restlichen Raum. kein Bodenwischer, abgenutzte Armaturen, keine Badewanne, häßliche Fliesen, schlechte handtücher. Das angeblich verfügbare Wifi, nur mit Stundenpreis verfügbar, war nicht verfügbar. Andere Gäste hatten ebenfalls kein Wifi.Nichts in diesem Hotel zeigt irgendwie an, dass man den Gast erfreuen möchte. Das Frühstück ist mangelhaft und lieblos angerichtet.
