Godt og rart hotel. Ingen særlig luksus og lidt afsides beliggenhed. Til gengæld pænt og rent, god service, samt gratis wi-fi på hotellet. Tog fra lufthavnen går lige til døren - bogstaveligt talt. Meget fine sporvognsforbindelser til centrum, men absolut også overkommelig gåafstand.

Små (rene) værelser og begrænset morgenmad, men opvejes af super beliggenhed og god service!

Hotellet er af ældre dato, men er i fin stand med hyggelige mere moderne værelser. Værelserne er ikke de største, men der er hvad man har brug for. Personalet er rigtig søde og vil gerne hjælpe med både det ene og det andet. Hotellet ligger super centralt med sporvognen kørende lige ude på vejen (Dette kan høres når de bimler og bamler med klokken, men ikke noget der der irriterer, mere som en hyggelig lyd à la "nu kommer sporvognen igen".) Hotellet ligger super centralt, lige ved Union Square. I området ligger der mange små caféer, dinere, butikker osv og 300 meter nede af gaden ligger der en metro station (en Bart) hvor man kan tage toget til yderområderne. På samme sted er der et hav af busser som kører alle steder hen i byen. To af SF´s tre sporvogne har også endestation lige nede af gaden. Alt i alt et rigtig dejligt hotel. Vi var i SF et par dage inden vi rejste videre syd på. Hotellet var helt ideelt. Både pga at det var hyggeligt, med i høj grad også pga beliggenheden. Det var nemt at komme ud at spise, nemt at komme i butikker og shoppe og nemt at komme til både tog, busser og sporvogn. Helt klart et hotel vi vil anbefale og et vi gerne ville bo på igen hvis vi skulle tilbage til SF.

Staff will pick you up at rental car center, so you can lose the rent car if staying there to catch early morning flight as I was. Several restaurants within walking distance in addition to restaurant in hotel.
I would highly recommend this hotel. Very clean bathroom a must for any hotel and this Holiday Inn keep their bathroom very clean. Also quiet and comfortable beds.

This brand new hotel is very stylish, has a restaurant, free parking, and flat screen TVs in the guest rooms. Even the restaurant has TVs at each booth. Location at the entrance to OAK is also convenient for the zoo and southern East Bay destinatons

"Holiday Inn Express Oakland at Hegenberger"
Second time I have stayed at this hotel on business. Like the convenience to our office. The rooms are nice and clean and have free wifi. Never took advantage of free breakfast but glad to have available. Usually have lunch at Diamonds, which has good food and service. Would definitely recommend to others.

"An amazing one night stay"
I had an unexpected guess arrive and I told my husband I needed a break. I booked a room and we a had a great night out just the two of us. The room was big and we had a nice bathroom. It was really a wonderful experience.

"good stay near bart and airport"
this hotel is clean and has a friendly helpfull staf. You can use its shuttle to the airport and on request to other destinations like the car-rental return or the bart (subway) to San Francisco which is only a 15-20 min ride.
"Holiday Inn Oakland Airport- Great Hotel"
This hotel was located next to the expressway, which was great because we traveled to San Francisco every day we were there and it only took about 20 minutes. The hotel restaurant was okay, the drinks during happy hour were good, but they need more of a selection for happy hour specials. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

We had a nice stay. Very close to airport and used airport shuttle which was nice. Decent little restaurant on site which was handy. The only complaint is that the air conditioning didn't work super well and the room was a bit hot.

"Clean Room"
Nice clean room but don't expect front desk to take their faces out of what they are doing. Sometimes its nice for some one to say Hi.

The first night, the door lock "ran out of battery" I was locked out of my room for 20minutes, at least they upgraded me to a suite. The bed sheets are very stiff, as if they were washed in starch. They were so uncomfortable.

I was very pleased with staying here at the Holiday in. Although I was only here for 1 night. 11/26/2010 check out 11/27/2010. The rooms are extremely comfortable and so are the beds. The decor was simple but nice and very updated due to this being a newly built property. The flat screen t.v was a added pleasure. They do offer a free breakfast although […] I did not take advantage of that. Upon arrival they gave me a goodie bag filled with water, peanuts and cookies which was nice for booking on a recommended hotel website. The area of the hotel is convienient to all eateries, 880 freeway and the Oakland airport. There is a airpot shuttle bus which will take you to and fro. I would recommend staying here to anyone although there are plenty of hotels in the area I would go with a hotel name you can trust. Pay a little more for a hassel free stay! Totally worth it! The hotel was clean - but I had two complaints. The walls were paper thin and I could hear the guest in the next room snoring loudly - so loud I could hear him with the TV on, so loud I could hear him with earplugs in. Second, after we were all in our pajamas, my friend's niece realized she'd forgotten her toothbrush at the last hotel we stayed at. […] When we called down to have housekeeping (or some member of the hotel staff) bring us one, we were told everyone had left but the desk manager and we'd have to come down and get it ourselves. The Holiday Inn and Suites was a great stay. I had visited the sports bar, although I was staying in a hotel up the street. I was pleased with the TV channel options. I was able to watch my baseball team play. If they were not on in my room, I would have been able to go dowstairs to Diamonds the sports bar and watch the game.

We went with this hotel mainly due to the good reviews and its location. It is very convenient especially when you have an early morning flight; it's between multiple gas stations too so you can fill up your rental car the night before. "Comfort, Cleanliness, and Great Location"
The room was clean and the bathroom was alot better than other locations. The beds were so relaxing that, my wife and I talked about it the following morning at breakfast.

The overall stay at the hotel was decent. The front desk representative upon check-in was very unfriendly. She took at least 15 seconds to acknowledge us as guests. The room itself was very clean and comfortable, especially the bathroom. Very clean and fresh! I would rate the room overall as a B-
"Ask for Gwinnie"
This is a new hotel, the decor is nice, the beds are comfortable, the room was clean. We unfortunately were there at the same time a motorcycle gang was. I mean close to 100's of harley type motorcycles parked just outside the front doors, which our room was situated directly over. Upon seeing this at check in, I told the man who checked us in that […] we were traveling with our six month old, so if he could put us somewhere quiet, it would be helpful. He basically disregarded my comment & was going to put me where he had planned to put me because it was convenient for him. Later when we tried to go to bed (& get the baby to bed) the motorcyclists were revving their engines & yelling at eachother & playing loud music right below our window. We were ready to leave, even though our room was pre-paid. I went to the front desk with the baby, and asked to speak to the manager & Gwinnie (not sure if that's how you spell it) at the front desk immediately offered us a suite further from the parking lot where all the noise was. She was pleasant, and addressed our issues immediately. If not for her, we would have left this hotel. I hope the upper management knows what a great asset she is to their hotel because I have seen where she has saved the day for other people on other reviews.
