Palisades Resort by Sky Hotels & Resorts - Winter Garden

Room-cleaning cost 5$, breakfast consists of a bagel. the tv in the room is really small and slow as hell, and the resorts part is really just pool and spa. If u can overlook that its really nice hotel.

We had a 2 BR Suite and the room itself was huge and fantastic (except for a weird ledge around the King bed that we kept hitting). But very clean. And when we needed a blender they brought it right away. But no one was at the front desk when we called or went down to check out, the "lounge" is just a room with chairs, no food or drinks on site, and […] it is in a strange location. We were there for a personal tragedy and the room was all we needed, so we were fine. But if you are looking for a "resort" , don't be fooled by the name. In summary, this is great if all you need is a VERY comfortable, large room, and intend to be elsewhere most of the time. Læs mere

The hotel room was roomy and convenient. It was great to have breakfast available. However, the floors and ceilings are thin so you hear a lot of neighbor noise.

I booked this place at the last minute to meet visiting family at Animal Kingdom. Got a huge, very nice 3 bedroom condo for what I would have paid for a basic hotel room. Only thing is the place is far out from Disney, on the west side. It was about a 15 minute drive to Animal Kingdom, and probably between 20-30 minutes to any other Disney property, […] depending on where you are going. And there is nothing within walking distance. You definitely need a car to stay here. But it is only a mile back to the main road and there are tons of shops and restaurants. When we go back (we are season pass holders), I'll definitely book here again. The size of the room (apartment, really) is just too good of a deal. Læs mere

The stay was very good. The staff was very accomodating and responded to whatever we needed. We would recommend this resort

Place was not bad. A little deserted and a horrible bed in the master - The platform bed was a little antiquated and the mattress was the most uncomfortable thing. I think that the floor would have been better. Same with the couch in the living room. We were not there much as we were there for Disney. No wireless which is truly a bummer!

horrible experience. it is severly understaffed, there were like 2 people at night. the rooms had some strange chemical odor, I even tried changing the room. Thankfully hotels.com helped me to move to a better hotel. Most of the staff was unhelpful to the point of being discourteous. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. We had a 2 bedroom and it was great that the kids were able to have their own room so we could relax in the den area after a long day at the parks. It is close enough to the things i want to do in the area. I enjoy the ability to use the kitchen. The rooms are comfortable and affordable. My friends and I have already booked our next stay here.

We had concerns about this resort because of the low price but need not have worried. A few ants around the pool for first few days but they sprayed and ants disappeared. Shaded parking (Garage) was very appreciated. Staff were very helpful. Continental breakfast is not that great but that isn't what we booked for! I just stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was amazing. I enjoyed everything about the hotel and staff everyone was very friendly. I was a little worried because of some bad reviews but I'm glad that I didn't let them effect my decision. I would suggest anyone and everyone to stay here. Huge rooms, cinema room, arcade room, decent free breakfast, and average size pool

A little out of the way and quiet but perfect for my taste. Will definitely return and recommend to friend and family.

Beautiful spacious hotel . Clean and comfortable

I was pleased with the stay and don't really think I could have beaten it for the price. The hotel upgraded us to a 2 bedroom at check in (not sure why but it was appreciated). Very spacious and the rooms were clean. I think most of the reviews I saw were accurate. The room was on the road side and there was some traffic noise, but it wasn't really […] disturbing. The beds were a little noisy and there were a couple of slats missing from the blinds, but these were minor annoyances considering the space, price, and overall convenience. It was about a 25 minute drive to Universal and less to Universal. There were restaurants relatively close. We did not use the pool but it looked good. Plenty of hot water and no wait to check in. The breakfast was minimal, so if that is important to you then that would be a problem (danishes, pound cake, juice, coffee, bagle). The price was excellent though I suspect when summer kicks in, it will go up substantially. Parking was easy. Læs mere

My stay at this hotel was relaxing. The only thing I wish was open is the Salon Spa at the hotel. The overall experience was great which is close to all of the Disney world sites. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

The hotel was great for price! What we did find was that all carpets should be replaced with tile.The carpet was really deplorable.The pull-out in the living room was not comfortable for adults, and the master bed really needed to have a new mattress. on our recent trip to orlando my party and i stayed at the palisades condo. there were 8 in our party and the condo was large enough to comfortably hit us all; and we were never on top of each other. The three kids had room to play and run without distrubing the adults. the porch was screened in and had a fan to circulate the air. my only negative comment […] is that the beds where to hard for my liking. other wise it was a 10 out of 10. if my travels bring me back to the orlando area i will be staying here again. I did a lot of research and picked the Palisades due to the reviews I read here. The unit is very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry, everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was also clean and the location is great. It is far enough off the path to be a little private but close to grocery stores (Publix and Target) and many good […] restaurants. We really liked Miller's Ale House, the BBQ Back Ribs were great. A few things could have been better: bed was a little uncomfortable, the lock on the sliding glass door needed to be repaired. The maintainence man actually opened the door and came right in the room without us opening the door which was a little unsettling. The free breakfast was a big disappointment and the internet access was not wireless. I was in town for business and while I was away my wife really enjoyed the pool area. The parking under the building worked out great. We were on the 4th floor on the front side of the building and could see Disney's fireworks off in the distance from our balcony at night. We have stayed in the Orlando area quite often and this property offers everything we look for in a hotel suite. We would recommend the Palisades for couples and families alike. Læs mere

this is a typical bait and switch there is a treadmill for your gym exp and that is it, the cont breakfast was poor not much to choose from, the rooms by the road was very loud sounded like cars was in room with you ,tvs very small ,not what I expected for a resort......but the pics show differant

We were pleased with the size of the room - 3 bedrooms and 2 baths with a full kitchen. There was not much in amenties. Small fitness room with 1 working treadmill and a couple bicycles and a pool with jacuzzi. It was a bit of a trek to Disney - about 20 minutes. Still you can't beat the price for three bedrooms. Stayed in 2 bdrm condo; perfect for my family's vacation. The room even has a nice screened balcony for having coffee in the mornings. Kitchen has nice plates, glassware and silverware where it's been hit/miss in other places. Close to Walmart, Publix, Target and local restaurants. Easy access to Disney World and key hwys. Only misses were small TV […] flatscreens (size of computer) in bedrms. 2nd bdrm is large but only had twin beds instead of double/queens. And it can get noisy from condo above you; we had kids racing up/down their room. While Bfast was unexpected nice amenity, it was very limtied to pkged juice, coffee and pkged bagels, danish and pound cake i.e., vending machine type. Overall, the location, quiet area and 2 bdrm were perfect for what we wanted. We did not use other hotel amenities i.e., pool, exercise or movie room. Læs mere

The condo is about 7 miles from Disney World, but we had a rental car so it didn't matter. Signage was good and it was easy to get around and find what we needed. The property itself just couldn't have been nicer: quiet, lovely accommodations, pool, hot tub, exercise room...everything one wants on a vacation. We could have spent the week right here […] ! We go to Orlando almost every year. This is a beautiful property. Condo units with two or more bedrooms, 2 baths. Very spacious. Nice pool area. Unit is fully stocked with linens and towels. If you want housekeeping you pay extra, which we did not need. Large kitchen and dining area which made it easy for our family to prepare food on our own. Close […] to grocery and other stores. I really enjoyed staying at this wonderful resort. The view from the balcony was very relaxing. The only negative comment I can make about this place is I wish it could have had more "resort like" activities. They do have a pool, small gym, and a steamless sauna, but, that is basicly it. I cannot comment on the spa room as it was closed during out stay. […] I also caution guests who wish to have everything done for them against staying here. Each room comes equipped with a vacuum, broom, dust pan, and dish washing powder. If you wish for the staff to clean your room for you there is an additional fee. But, the rooms are beautiful, very comfortable and spacious. The staff is friendly and more than willing to help any way they can. The front desk is very knowledgeable about the local area and the attractions and more than willing to share. The theater is very nice. My childern greatly enjoyed it. When we first arrive (Party of 5), we arrived beyond late. The reception desk was waiting my arrival with my key ready and everything. Once we checked in, we realized a few lights weren't working, along with the cable and phone. Right away they changed our room without hesitation to accommodate our needs. Hotel was great, very new, very spacious, great location. Only complaints.. when we got there the bed sheets had stains on them but they changed them right away. Sounds travel through the rooms aswell. Other than that, you cant ask for much better for the price. I was very impressed.

very clean, beautiful rooms, very spacious especially master bath. extremely long hallways but good if you need the exercise if you dont get a room near the elevators. remote road, very woodsy yet hotel is with in a mile or two of plenty of restuarants, shopping and Disney.

Cable and phone didn't work - had to change rooms. Second room was in great shape except bifold doors for washer dryer weren't on. BUT overall we were there for our honeymoon and were very happy. The Palisades made our vacation to Disney World a treat. My family thanked me over and over again for choosing their three bedroom suite. The pool and game room great additions. We had to used the shuttle service and found the driver to be excellent. They did their best to accomodate my six member clan.

cannot say enough...excellent cleanliness, large rooms, friendly staff....brand new hotel....stay here if you can..

I booked this hotel for a couple nights following a cruise, so the large two bedroom apartment like rooms were just the thing after five in a state room on a ship. We arrived 8/27/09 . The parking deck , which was very tight and narrow, was pretty empty so we were not surprised to be granted an early check in without question. As I checked in the manager […] was taking a call from a guest at the front desk where , from what I gathered, the man in the room had a problem with the room and was waiting for a maintenance man since 3:00AM ( this was about 11:20 AM )the manager apologized and offered a late check out but it seemed that this was all) I checked in to find that we would not get any housekeeping service ( first time it was mentioned) unless we paid $30 per day and scheduled service then, I declined. The man checking me in said that since I had five people, I could call down for a fifth set of towels( there were only four in the room ) instead of just giving them to me. We went to the room and it was huge. It was clean but there were a couple places where the tile around the one bath tub was missing, there were knobs missing on the closets pocket doors, and several slats from the hanging balcony door blinds in the master bedroom were laying on the floor. There was a kitchen chair in there like someone was going to fix them but then gave up or forgot. I fixed these myself in a couple seconds. Next we found that there was only about two feet of toilet paper on the roll in the master bath and no replacement was left. Since we didn't have housekeeping service I knew we would need more for two days so I sent one of my teenagers to the front desk to get more, she also got a set of towels while she was there. The desk clerk requested that we call if we needed anything else and not come down. I seen it as saving them a trip and gave it no more thought. I sent another teenager down in a couple hours when our pull out sofa had no sheets. Since the hotel was not very full we Læs mere
