We needed a place to say before our house rental. Just one night. Front desk was pleasant and helpful, gave us extra towels for the kids. Our room had a new rug, wi fi, modern tv, fridge. Beds were comfortable. We did not use the pool but it was open. We had mini doughnuts, bagal and cream cheese, cereal and coffee for breakfast. I stayed at the Thunderbird hotel this week (1 night) as I had business in Falmouth in the evening, and Brewster in the morning. Upon arriving late afternoon to check in it struck me that there was only one car in the parking lot so my expectations for such a large facility started off very low, but the person at the desk was very friendly and answered […] all my questions with polite thoughtfulness. I only needed to go to my room to change as I had to get going to an evening engagement in Falmouth. Upon entering the room, I found it to be very clean and welcoming. Although it would have been nice to see more updated decor and perhaps a flat panel as opposed to an older analog TV in a cabinet, I was struck by how clean the bathroom and counter area was. I returned late that night to get some sleep as I needed to be up early in AM to get to my morning appointment in Brewster. It was really quiet and I was able to fall asleep quickly. The King size bed was VERY comfortable and I slept well. Although my expectations started off low, I was pleasently surprised at how, for less than $60, nice my stay at the Thinderbird Hotel turned out. I would definitely stay at the Thunderbird hotel again in the future. My hope is that the hotel can get more business. Not bad at all if you're looking for A nice place to stay. If your coming on vacation , I would recommend this if you don't want a water front and a ton of things such as outdoor bar, or anything like that

Approaching the Thunderbird Motel is off-putting but it's actually a nice little place. Our room had some nice remodeling and the bed was comfortable. The guy at the front desk was very polite and helpful.

We rented the hotel room after looking at several places . We chose the place due to cost and location. We were a bit nervous as it was not a chain hotel. I must say I was pleasantly surprised when open the hotel room door. The room was clean, freshly painted and smelled clean. Very nice furnishing. Nothing was broken or run down. The king size bed […] was comfortable and was a nice treat. The cable channels were awesome. We had a little snag getting onto the net but they corrected as soon a we called. The only two things that we found that should be addressed is there continential breakfast needs more variety and better coffee and in the bathroom there was a stain coming down from the cleaning that looked like the bathroom above us had a leak. We just needed a room for one night until we could check into our house rental. The location was convenient. The room was adequate for our needs, but definitely well worn. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Overall an OK place to sleep and shower for a night.

I was a little nervous when we drove up and there was only 1 car in the parking lot, but the front desk gentleman was very nice and our stay was more than comfortable. We did go on off season and that is why it was slow. There was a basic breakfast and it was much cheaper than anything else I had found. While the overall cleanliness of the hotel and room were fine, BE CAREFUL ABOUT PLUGGING IN YOUR ELECTRONICS for charging!!! An outlet in our room completely FRIED my tablet cord, rendering it useless, and now I had to purchase a new one. When I told the hotel owner about it, he instructed me to CALL THE ELECTRIC COMPANY!!!! He denied having any responsibility […] for compensating me, refused to discount my room fees, and blamed me for not being plugging in my cord at my own risk. If you have any electronics that need charging, you may want to reconsider staying at this hotel--unless you want to try calling the electric company so they can laugh at you for thinking THEY are somehow responsible for electrical malfunctions in a hotel room. Best of luck to you if you decide to stay here. I should also mention, the same owner was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful up until the point I had any difficulty staying there. Læs mere

Looks a bit shabby on outside but our room was nice inside, *Very* clean, the Carrier a/c unit cooled down room very quickly with NO funky smell, not a spec of mold on 2nd floor. BUT was told by staff that first floor tended to be moldy because of the close proximity to the sea. Fluffy pillows, clean sheets, carpet didn't have a funky feeling to it, […] lighting was fine for reading etc. Water pressure was fine, plenty of hot water, shower is one solid bath/shower unit with NO sign of mold. Vending machines on first floor, cable TV, sink outside toilet/shower area. Wireless internet w/o password with good signal. Did see a Papa John's delivery car in the parking lot. Dunkin Donuts and some eating places not far, a new Starbucks and McDonalds are about 7 min west from the hotel as is the shopping mall. Pool looked ok but we didn't check it out close-up. There was even a hair dryer on the wall but NO elevator though there aren't many steps (about 12) to 2nd floor. All in all, one of the better economy hotels/motels we have stayed at in our month long journey across the US from west coast to east coast. Would stay there again and would recommend to friends if they can get a 2nd floor room. If you have a tiny dog you can call and ask if they will accept it but they had a bad experience with a bigger dog eating the carpet and chewing up a room so they don't advertise as pet friendly and seemed like they wouldn't take anything bigger than 10 lbs or so. The hotel was adequate for a weekend stay. The furnishings seemed to be updated but the bathroom was dated and poorly painted. Being near Hyannis was convenient. The front desk staff tried to be helpful.

Overall this was a great place to stay for our short trip to cape cod. The motel was a few minutes driving distance from the main strip in Hyannis. The staff was very pleasant and friendly!

This is a very low rent hotel. The desk manager was personable, but the place has not shown good maintenance or been upgraded in recent years, making the rate of the room unequal to the quality. Smell of carpet cleaner was overwhelming. It was the cheapest of the hotels so you get what you pay for. Staff was extremely polite and helpful. Room was clean. It looks really run down, but we only needed to sleep there at night. It served it's purpose. Air conditioner did not work. It would run for an hour then turn off. I wasn't expecting anything great because this is on the less expensive side of rooms in the area, but I was expecting clean and sanitary. When we pulled down the sheets to get in bed, there were multiple different kinds of hairs in the sheets - clearly they had not been changed since the last person! So gross! When I called the front desk about it, […] they said I could have them come change the sheets or a new room. I figured if they change the sheets at least I was guaranteed new ones. They did come change them, but there was barely an apology, no discount, and it was awkward. The whole room also smelled bad, like mildew or mold or something, the toilet seat was loose and moved when you sat down, other plumbing issues, and the shower had bad stains and looked old and gross. I had trouble falling asleep thinking about whether fleas or moths might be getting into our stuff. I should say I also specifically mentioned on our reservation that one of us was 9 months pregnant and the cleaner and nicer the better. This is what we got. Stayed for 2 nights on a whim. The room was very clean and when I asked housekeeping for 2 extra towels they were given to me with no problem. Staff was polite. Property was a little run down in the playground area but that did not apply to me. I would stay there again.

Batroom was the wost. Old and it doesn't seems like they clean the tub or the toilet, just spray the top and wipe it. Still had hair on the bartub walls from prev. people. The room itself was ok. The staff was nice and friendly. They should have a small fridge.

Pretty good value for money. Not an amazing hotel, but clean and friendly and light on the wallet in an expensive town. Good family place as rooms are large.

The room was recently refurbished, clean, everything worked, the beds were comfortable and the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. The room could use a second comfortable chair for television viewing, so a second person would not have to use the padded desk chair. My wife and I would stay there again if we get back there.

Keep looking for another hotel. The motel is not kept up at all. The pictures and ratings are unreliable. Our room wasn't cleaned as of 2pm, we decided not to stay the second night. The front desk gentleman suggested that they have not been busy all summer. I wonder why. The breakfast room was disgusting. The motel room may have just been renovated […] but they spray painted over everything and never took off the masking tape. Hope they didn't pay the paint contractor. Looks like fairly new carpet but the floor boards underneath were uneven and loose so we kept tripping on them. The faucets both leaked. The room had 2 double beds (4 people could stay there) only 2 towels. There is a recliner chair in the room I dared my husband to sit in it YUCK! It was so dirty. It is too bad Expedia doesn't check out this places before they list them. There are many many nice motels you can stay at. Læs mere

If you are going to spend most of your time in the hotel, this is not the place for you. If you plan on doing that anyway, perhaps you are not coming to Cape Cod for the right reason. with that being said, Thunderbird is "just fine". There are no luxury amenities (very little amenities at all actually), TVs, furniture, and decor feel old and need updating. […] However, its clean enough, conveniently located, affordable and due to it's appearance from the road, never crowded.
