Econo Lodge Long Beach - Long Beach

My only complaint would be the beds were terrible very hard.

If you like hard beds this hotel has them. From the time I stepped into the lobby though I wondered if I was in a safe neighborhood or not. The noise from the street was more than I would like. The hotel looks fairly nice, but I have stayed at better hotels than this for the same money

I wasn't expecting much when we booked here, we were only staying for the night before leaving on a cruise at noon the next day. The neighborhood was rough but the hotel was surprisingly clean and comfortable. The 'included breakfast' was a little disappointing, they only had prepackaged pastries and muffins. The service was great, the man working at […] the main desk was extremely helpful in calling us a cab to go to dinner that night and then to the pier the next morning. It was a quick, two-night stay in LB. Nothing fancy, but everything worked, the room was clean, there was parking available and there were no surprises. Wi-fi worked well, and it's always nice to have a small refrigerator and microwave oven when needed.

Place is nothing to brag about, simple place to sleep. There's really not much to do walking distance but you can get any place in LB with a five minute drive. We drove everywhere and took a cab at night to the downtown area to do the bar hoping. So again good place to crash the night on a tight budget. =)

We checked in and went to our room. The sink was not draining correctly. The room was very dark. Definitely needs more lighting. We were told that breakfast would be served from 7:00am -9:00am. We arrived at 7:10 and there was nothing. We checked back at 7:45 and coffee was ready (regular only, no decaffeniated). After 8:00 we checked again and the […] choice was very limited. We stayed in Econo Lodge for 4 nights and it was one of the bedst hotels we have stayed in - very nice room and also very clean - next time we come to America Econo Lodge will be the motel we will try to stay in as much at possible when we travel around the contry. The price is also very fine.

Overall I was very happy with my stay (especially no bed bugs, which I was terribly concerned with). Everything was great: housekeeping, the place looks decent, there's a mini fridge and microwave. The only not-so-good thing was the parking. It's very cramped and not many spaces, so you might have to park in the street behind the place if you come back […] later than 10-11 ish. Not necessarily bad, but it was weird that the sink was not in the bathroom. You can hear cars and trucks at night outside your room, so if you're a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs or something. All in all, everything was pretty satisfactory and I'm planning to stay here again if we come back to Long Beach. Læs mere

I walked into the office and that was all I needed to see. The property looked like a getto and the manager spoke broken english. He told me that the money that I already paid,Hotels.com, would be refunded. It's been five (5) days and I'm still waiting. Gerri Reber

Hotel was clean and secure. The room was large and clean, equipped with microwave and frig, but no coffee maker. We didn't check out the free breakfast, but it appeared to be pretty limited. The parking is limited and spaces small, but we were able to park on-site whenever we returned to our room. In all, a decent motel at a great price.

Rooms where clean but mattresses where very firm.

Headed out to Long Beach to attend event at Queen Mary. Found this place not too close, but not too far and wasn't disappointed at all. It was actually nicer than I expected. Lots of room and it was very clean. Not much else around to look at near the hotel, but not an issue. Parking was tight.

I picked it for proximity to Long Beach airport, which still took 2 buses to reach, close as it was. I found the place deliciously luxurious for its price.

Rooms have been redone and are in good shape. Minimal amenities, but all you need for a short stay. It's not a resort hotel; just convenient and moderately priced. Breakfast, too, is minimal ... coffee, juice,store-bought mini-muffins and overripe fruit. Some downstairs rooms have whirlpool tubs.

The room was very large and the layout great. Nice flat screen tv, microwave and fridge. Everything was clean and very comfortable. Perfect location to places we wanted to go. Coast Hwy was noisy but when your tired it didn't matter. Great place for the price. This is our second time staying and will go back again.

This hotel did not hesitate to to provide extras. They did not charge us for parking or internet. It was close to long beach area. The room was big and clean. I would recommend this to anyone on an economical budget.

This hotel was convenient for business at the Long Beach airport. However, the desk clerk was not very bright.

When we travel, we are rarely at the hotel, so a lot of the amenities don't really matter. We just need a good place to hang our hat and sleep. A fridge and Microwave are handy. The room we had was more spacious than usual, even with a King Size bed. Their was only 1 chair to go with the desk, so sitting was limited, but I could have asked for more; […] I just didn't. The bed was comfortable and we slept solid (we were very exhausted). Parking was limited but there seemed to be enough slots for everyone. I plan to stay there the next 2 years when the same event comes around. Læs mere

Very reasonable price, clean spacious room, easy access. And a complimentary bottle of champagne on New Year's Eve from the friendly staff! Parking can be difficult however.

if you enjoy sleeping on beds of cement this hotel is for you. if you enjoy not sleeping at night because of the noise outside this hotel is for you. If you enjoy sheet rock patchwork in your hotel this is for you. If you can sleep wondering if your car will still be there in the morning this hotel is for you. I checked in on a Friday around three. The owner was gone so his mother gave me the master key to check in. Mind you, that is the master key to all the rooms. I went to my room, and opened the door, to find out I'd opened someone else's room. Thank god no one was in there. I finally got settled and just felt uncomfortable. The neighborhood was really […] ghetto and I didn't feel safe there as a young woman by myself. I was staying there for a wedding in Long Beach. The staff was nice but I kept getting locked out of my room and it was really frustrating because I was on a tight time schedule. The room was right next to a very loud PCH and it was hard to get rest. I booked the room for two nights but left before I spent a second night there. Læs mere

My husband I had to go on a short convention in the area and were looking for a hotel that was close to everything. We found the Econo Lodge and needed a bargain and figured that it "would do" for one night. We were very surprised at the cleanliness of the room, the friendliness of the staff and the location of the hotel. We couldn't have asked for […] nicer people to take care of us. The parking lot was small, but we were accomodated very well. My husband is in a wheelchair and it's difficult to park in small spaces and get around rooms that arent' accessible. I feel that the staff there was very compassionate, they catered to our every need and gave us excellent customer service. We had plans at another location were not planning on eating breakfast there, but I did notice that it pretty much only consisted of coffee and a box of donuts. They could work on that, but I did not utilize that service. I am very happy to have stayed at this particular location and will return if I am ever in the area. Thank you Econo Lodge staff. The room was clean and very confortable. Nicer than what we excepted. Very conveniently located. Breakfast was very simple: muffin and coffee.

The room was fine for what we wanted. Hotel staff assisted as requested. Room key did not work after first night when we had two night stay, otherwise stay was fine.
