Radisson Hotel Decapolis Miraflores - Lima

Vi havde to overnatninger på Dacapolis i Miraflores efter tre uger med rygsæk i Peru på hostels, i telt, på hoteller og home-stays af varierende kvalitet. Hotellet var et perfekt sidste stop inden vi skulle hjem til Danmark med pool på taget, (dog for koldt til at bruge den i sept, pga. vinden på 12. etage), fint lille fitnessrum, hvor jeg fik en tur […] på løbebåndet, testede formen på frivægte og et par maskiner, sushibar og restaurant - alt svøbt i loungestemning (både i lys og lyd). Husk at prøve en Pisco Sour! Morgenmadsbuffeten var skøn med masser af frugt og et varmt kort med æg, pandekager osv. som vi kunne vælge frit fra (her findes grunden til testen af fitnessrummet). Super service fra meget søde og dygtige tjenere. Hotellet er 30 minutter fra det historiske centrum i Lima og fra lufthavnen. Hotellet arrangerer dyre taxaløsninger (som sikkert er af god kvalitet) - du kan gøre det billigere selv ved at gå ud på gaden og preje en vogn - eller bed receptionisten ringe efter en billigere vogn. NB. der er ingen krav til bilsikkerhed i Lima, hvilket afspejles i taxaernes generelle tilstand. Hoitellet er tæt på havnefronten og vi gik en hyggelig aftentur til et shoppingcenter (som hed noget med 'mar' til sidst) hvor der var alt fra shopping til restauranter, bio og spillehaller hvor forældre og børn hyggede sig. Fladskærmstv, godt vandtryk, masser af varmt vand og fri internet (og 6 computere i lobbyen). Eneste minus var faktisk check in servicen, som var lidt langsom - vi måtte vente en time. Staff were all incredibly nice and helpful. Breakfast and rooftop bar are amazing! Location is close to most must see attractions and the best restaurants in town. The rooms are pretty standard, closer to higher end rooms, but nothing over the top extravagant. I would have given this place a 5 stars had I not looked down at the bottom of my feet. After walking around our room after a shower, I went to put sox on and noticed that the bottoms of my feet were black with dirt. Gross! Then I started noticing all the carpeting. Even the carpet in the hallways had stains everywhere! I think it's time to replace […] all the carpets or go for an extra deep clean because that is just gross. Other than that, we were on the 5th floor and we could hear the base from the club up on the 12th. Not horrible, but if you stay on any higher floor, there might be an issue. This hotel delivered what it promised. The roof-top pool is very nice although can get quite busy. The hotel bars are expensive but there is an allowance for free drinks per night which should cover a couple of drinks. The breakfast was decent especially when ordering off the menu. When I arrived after a 30 hour trip from Norway, even tough I already had booked a room they wanted me to pay an extra 95 dollars because I arrived in the morning and not during check in time after 1300 PM Most hotels I've stayed at would not of charged extra for this. Except from this I've overall had a good experience, Rooms are large and clean, […] Good beds, breakfast was very bad compared to other radisson hotels I've stayed in, and when I wanted to extend my stay with two days I had to change rooms even tough it was the same price class, so I had to wait until 12.30 pm to be let know if I had to change rooms or not, this inflexibility should never happen at a luxury hotel. On the pluss side they have an amazing rooftop terrace with a pool and a gym connected, the gym is just ok but works, the roof turns into a nightclub lounge at night very good buzz. And I must admit it's always feels like highway robbery when you pay almost as much for room service, minibar and restaurant food as you would in a similar hotel in Europe, when you can go a block in either direction and pay 1/ 7th of the price, but this goes for a most 4 and 5 stars hotels in cheap areas of the world. Its a good hotel, the service by the staff is excellent, and good food. But the hotell need a interior upgrade. Miraflores is a nice place, the hotel location is good.

Although closet consisted of a couple of cheap plywood doors, walls, a pole and some hangers, the hotel room was neat, clean and in otherwise good condition as were the restaurant (free breakfast option was excellent), gym, main and rooftop bars, etc. Free wi-fi and use of business center was provided. Very good price for the service and comfort. I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I visit Lima. Good breakfast.

My friend and I found the Radisson to be a refreshing and rejuvenating stay after a long week of traveling. The staff were incredibly helpful, the food (free breakfast buffet and $30 worth of drinks a night) was great, and the room was clean with all amenities asked for. Within walking distance to Kennedy park and Park of Love, we only had to take a […] cab once during our stay. The only downside was that we were placed on the 10th floor, which had incredibly dark hallways and there was pretty consistent noise above us at night. Læs mere

My room was fairly spacious and nice, had WIFI, bathroom was lovely as you would expect from Radisson. Staff were friendlier than I've found at other large chain hotels and were also very helpful. Most of the menus have minimal dishes without meat (as I'm a veggie), the chefs & staff went out of their way to cook me a fresh different dish every night. We stayed at the Radisson Decapolis on 3 different occasions while traveling around Peru. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, even storing some of our luggage at no charge between our stays. The breakfast is delicious and offers a wide variety. And you can't beat the location! We would definitely stay here again!

This is a good Americanized hotel, ideal for people who don't know Lima and believe the horrow stories they hear about it. The hotel is located in good area, no danger walking to any of the nearby restaurants.

Really great breakfast!

1. We made the reservation and prepaid through internet for a non-smoking room with Queen bed. On Oct 7, 2011, the receptionist (female) assigned us Room1101 which has an ashtray and a much smaller bed. 2. When I complained about this, the receptionist (male) told me the system could not work and he had to wait for the IT to have it fixed before he […] knew how to HELP me. 3. NO smiles, NO apologies face to face from Radisson on this matter during our two-night stay in there. 4. The breakfast buffet was included in the hotel charges already. BUT, they presented the menu with prices listed for each of the item even include the basic stuff such as poached eggs, toast etc. and asked us to order. I don't think this hotel is of good service quality, 1. No smiles at the reception, or only smiles when they want. 2. No honest apology for the obvious mistakes such as wrong assignation of room. 3. It sounds ridiculous that the system was out of work while they were processing other guests’ enquiries. 3. Present the menu with prices for guests who should have breakfast buffet for free. Not only satisfied with the price I got, Radisson Miraflores (Decapolis) surprised me with the quality of the room I got as well as the disposition of its staff to fulfill and anticipate your needs. Most recommended!

Hotel offers great views over Lima's beach area with excellent rooms and similar breakfasts. Location is out of the centre of town but a cheap taxi or bus ride into the cntre is all that is needed.

The best thing that l can say about this hotel is that l plan to stay there again on my next trip to Lima in 2 months.

This hotel is in a great location It is close to the mall and also all the small shops. So you can eat drink and watch a movie all in the same area. Anyway, the staff was great, and the service was Greta as well. I would stay her again for sure. Wally

Very satisfied with this hotel and it's staff. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location was very good although I bit of a walk (5-10 minutes) from Kennedy square - not a big deal as the walk is safe and enjoyable! The breakfast is amazing and staff is friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Hotel location was excellent, room and bathroom were clean, were fairly large, staff was very plesant and made our stay in the hotel a pleasing experience.

Internet din not work.

We stayed in Miraflores for two nights with friends after hiking the Inca Trail. The hotel was clean, service was prompt, and the rooftop bar was fun. The only drawback is cabs consistently charged more if they picked you up here. If you grab a cab at the end of the street it costs less.

Good location and clean room. Bathroom clean and spacious. We were lucky to be upgraded on both stays!

The Radisson was a good hotel within an easy 5 min walk to the main shopping area within Miraflores. All of the staff that I encountered were able to speak english. They also were able to accommidate a later check-out with no charge on the day I left for the airport. The hotel would have received all 5 stars from me except they had to do some maintenance […] within the hotel in the floor above me and it started at 8:30am. They did inform me of the repairs and I realize it was only a one time deal, but starting a little later would have been nicer. Læs mere

Roof top bar, service and breakfast were superior.

Room was clean and large, but not 4 stars by US standards. Staff was friendly and spoke enough English to be helpful.

Hotel was great! Food was perfect! And location was a real advantage. I would recommend for all my family to stay there.

Stayed in a Jr. Suite when I stay at the Radisson Decapolis. The fact that they have a breakfast and 30.00 soles drink included each day makes the price worth it. The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. Food is good, but nothing to write home about. Need more vegetarian options though and learn how to make a good salad. Also be aware that any […] of the room service and restaurant checks (inlcuding checks at the bar) already have a 10% service charge assessed. Finally the WiFi access is passable, but I like the fact that they also provide wired access. That way I was able to use my own router and did not have to rely on their WiFi. This hotel is in the heart of a very good neighbourhood and close to restaurants, beaches, parks and bus stations. The breakfast spread was extensive and great. The rooftop pool is a great place to relax and enjoy drinks

I was feeling disappointment when I arrived in Lima and realized that I was not staying in downtown Lima, but that changed very quickly when I arrived at the Radisson Hotel Decapolis Miraflores. From the time we entered the front door until our departure everything was excellent: hotel staff, room, food and a wonderful view of the Ocean. The city of […] Miraflores was charming. We felt safe and welcomed in Miraflores. We walked from the market to the sea and the city was very clean. The people were very nice, they spoke very little English and we spoke very little Spanish, but we were able to communicate. it's excellent! I highly reccomend it. They have breakfast included with full of fruits and ham, they also have a $10.00 free to spend at the bar per night. The discotec on the top was great and the view to Miraflores and the beach beatiful. They have a great staff, they speak English and Spanish. The rooms are very clean.
