The Oriental - Guest House - Brighton

Alt i alt et godt ophold. Fantastisk morgenmad og service.Værelserne er dog lidt små og man manglede håndvasken inde på selve badeværelset.

A quirky guesthouse near the seafront and 10 mins brisk walk from the centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The excellent breakfast was a very relaxed affair with the Sunday newspapers available for perusal. We were allowed to check in early and leave luggage when we checked out which was really useful as we were on foot.

The Oriental was a great mix of modern (plumbing that actually delivers a powerful shower, cool furnishings and design and so on) and old-fashioned (being greeted personally by the owner, getting tailored recommendations about where to eat and so on). The staff were great. Catherine, the owner, called me before arrival to see whether I needed help […] finding it, and marked a map once I'd got there with recommended places to eat and drink. She also said that Ben would be there in the morning for breakfast, which again was a nice, personal touch. Breakfast was lovely. Really friendly service again, and I'd heartily recommend the place. A very pleasant stay in a good position- the room was modern and clean and the breakfast superb- very helpful staff and knowledgeable of where and what to do when it rains! thoroughly recommend!

The guest house was fairly easy to find and was in a convenient location. Upon arriving, check in was dealt with quickly and politely and it was reiterated throughout the stay that they were always willing and ready to help. Having paid for the 'Superior' suite, it definitely fitted the bill. The room was large enough for two people, everything was […] clean and well laid out. The bathroom was lovely, bright decor and fitted with a jet spa bath and shower. Got a choice of two breakfast slots in the morning, those being between the times of 08.00-08.30am or 09.00-09.30am. Chose the later slot and the menu tried to accommodate everyone's needs, giving choices from yoguhurt to fruit, a full fry up or a vegetarian alternative ( being mainly egg.). The food was very nice, but could have been served a little quicker, considering there was only one other table. All in all, an extremely pleasant stay, would quite happily recommend and book again! :) Læs mere

My fiance and I found the Oriental by reading reviews online and I have to agree with all of them. The owner, Catherine greeted us and was warm and welcoming offering us all sorts of knowledge on the area. When we went to our room it was spotlessly clean and well decorated with light dove grey walls, pristine white bedding and a flat screened tv. There […] was complementary tea and coffee facilities and complementary mineral water. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was to die for, all freshly prepared and locally sourced and mostly organic. I would definitely recommend staying here and will be using this hotel myself again!! Læs mere

Oriental House on huoneita vuokraava yritys, jossa pieni meluisa eteisaula/baari, huoneissa ei puhelimia, paloturvallisuus niin ja näin, kokolattiamatot portaikossa likaiset ja tunkkaiset. Baarissa tarjotaan aamiainen - pussiteetä tai murukahvia, tuoretta hedelmämehua ei saatavilla. Läsnäolo aula/baaritiloissa niin ja näin. Hinnat ylikovat tasoon ja […] palveluun nähden. Huoneet hiljattain remontoitu ns puolivillaisesti, saniteettitiloissa pienet pyyhkeet, pienet suihku- ja shampoopullot, ei esim. kasvopaperia tms. Ylimainostettu, hotellikirjassa olevat suositukset lähinnä roskaruokayrityksiin, huoneessa ei vettä, sitä täytyi erikseen pyytää (itse hakea, toisella kerralla toivat). Muuta huonepalvelua ei ole. 10月10日から13日まで3泊しました。 ﾂｲﾝ部屋に滞在しましたが、部屋は機能的で、狭さを感じさせない配置になっていました。 ｱﾒﾆﾃｨ、ｺｰﾋｰや紅茶のｻｰﾋﾞｽもこだわりを感じさせるものでした。ﾘﾈﾝ類もほのかにｱﾛﾏの香りがし、清潔でした。 ｽﾀｯﾌの対応も大変親切で、朝食も種類が選べ、ﾎﾞﾘｭｰﾑのあるものでした。 またブライトンを訪れる機会があればまた是非宿泊したい 施設です。

Väldigt speciellt hotell,men väldigt fint och städat,och bra läge. Bra frukost om även det tog lite tid att få in den,då det var ett sällskap p¨6 personer innan oss... Men vill gärna rekomendera detta hotell till par och 2st kompisar som åker. Inget för barnfamiljer. För trångt.

LIte og hjemmekoselig hotell, sentralt og beliggenhet rett ved stranden. Veldig hyggelig og behjelpelig betjening. Liten og koselig bar/frokostsal.

Riktigt mysigt litet hotell med underbar personal. Mycket bra frukost för att vara England. Kan verkligen rekomendera detta hotellet om man ska besöka Brighton!

Das typisch englische Haus ist zentral gelegen, 2 Minuten zur See und 5 Minuten zur Stadtmitte. Zum Bahnhof Brighton kostet die Taxifahrt ca. 5 GBP. Das Haus ist sehr liebenswert eingerichtet und wird ebenso geführt, das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und sehr gut; Kaffee lieber weglassen:-)). Ein echter Geheimtipp für einen Kurzurlaub in Brighton.
