"Great hotel noisy neighbors"
Hotel was great pool and hot tub awesome. But we could hear a teenaged girl crying about breaking up with here boyfriend for 2 hours in the next room.

"Close to Highway and centrally located."
The hotel was clean but carpest and paint was worn. Nice pool and spa tub. Rooms were small. The view from our window was the back of a Chinese restaurant. Good place for a short stay.

We were given a handicap accessible room. The room had no tub and a barely working shower. We had not requested a handicap accessible room.

"Perfect for Shopping!"
Friendly People and Great service close to shopping outlets. Rooms are a little small so do not expect to jam more than a couple people per room but it fits two people perfectly.

Swimming pool OK, but hot tub was dirty, It was one unpleasant surprise. Everything was good for the reasonable price.
Clean, good for the price, just 10 minutes from downtown Oqunguit.

hotel was ok , clean , comfortable, pool and hot tub were clean . Only thing that made me upset was there was no hot water to showwer with , this was 6 in the evening ,, and there were very few others stating at that point .. "York ME Microtel...just plain Bad..."
The place looked like it was built in a day. Toiletpaper roll came right out of the wall when you used it. The carpets were filthy. The comp shampoo was used and allmost empty. No nonslip pad in the shower and the shower doors still had writing on them in the steam because they had not been cleaned after the last people stayed. One bar of soap for sink […] and shower. Cobwebs had not been vaccumed from the ceiling. But the final straw was the fact that staff let a wedding party(sounded like a frat party) go on in the halls and lobby until 1:30 in the morn. hooping, hollering, whistling, slamming doors, falling down. It sounded like new years eve in time square, and never once did staff ask them to please keep it down other people are trying to sleep. I 'm sorry I'm not some old stick in the mud. I can party like a rock star with the best of them...but there are plenty of bars and night clubs in the area...wich me and my wife took full advantage of but when we get back to the hotel we are quiet and respectful of others. Some of us have to be up early and travel a long way. On one and the only good note our bed was the most comfortable bed I had ever slept in. I've worked in the hospitality buisness for over 20 Yrs. and my stay at the York ME Microtel was just plain bad. Much improvement needed there. ;( Læs mere

1.swimming pool water was grey and looked disgusting as it had whitish film on it even with filters running and none of us wanted to risk going in. 2.when I purchased [7 months in advance] 2 rooms and also called to confirm after receiving hotle.com email to be on same floor with 2 other couples whom we told this motel about, we were advised they could […] only put 3 rooms on 1st floor. Imagine our shock when we checked in and were told they had no record of my request and only 1 couple could be on 1st floor. In hindsight, I should have asked for email confirmation of my telephone request. Turns out we were 5 couples staying here as we were attending a wedding and it was my research that chose this location. 3. other guests staying here were bare-chested and barefoot at breakfast which is crazy as obviously there's no posted policy of attire. These were adults too! 4. no pens nor writing paper in room for the 3 days we stayed - didn't feel we needed to ask but they had no problem on day 2 of accepting my $10 room tip. 5. rooms were clean and a/c was fine but it can't be redirected away from blowing over the bed. The absolute thinnest toliet paper I have ever seen - just like tissue paper. . . And the florescent lights over the bed made me think I was in the hospital. It is clean and the beds were comfortable. The air conditioner temp and fan speed was not adjustable.
"very nice hotel"
We had an enjoyable stay with our two children. The room was nice, the staff was pleasant, we enjoyed the pool and were especially pleased to find out that breakfast was included. The children enjoyed the make-your-own waffle maker. We would definitely stay again next time we visit York Beach.

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn. The staff was excellent. I thought maybe the desk clerks should have been in uniform or clothing not so revealing. Other than that, everything was great. The breakfast was delicious and the young man was so helpful and polite. Heads up on his services.

"Close to long sands"
Hot tub was broken while there (disappointing), but the continental breakfast was decent and the location is close to beaches....Overall a decent alternative to beach side lodging.
Room was clean and larger than other York area hotels we've stayed at in past. Kids enjoyed the heated indoor pool, especially after swimming in the cold ocean water. Convenient access to highway.

The best thing about this place is the location. It's less than 10 minutes from Kittery one way and less than 10 minutes to the great beaches of York the other way. If your not looking to stay right on the beach in York, this hotel is very family friendly. Great indoor pool and free breakfast in the morning...plenty of parking and friendly staff....would stay again...

We were just looking for a quick overnight up to York and we found it at the Microtel. Good value for money, good locatio. The staff were frieindly and hrlpful and the room was comfortable, new and clean. We'd stay there again.

I went to a wedding in York Beach and wanted a cheap room for one night. This was just what I was looking for - clean, friendly staff, free breakfast and wifi, and convenient drive to both the highway and the wedding. I wasn't expecting such a good experience for the price I paid and will definitely look to stay at a Microtel again.

"Cheap - NO frills - OK hotel"
This hotel gives new meaning to the words no frills. The room was literally bare, to the point of having no place to put your luggage/clothes/etc.. No closet, no shelf or any area in the bathroom to put your stuff/etc.. The breakfast was laughable, terrible coffee and you have to walk thru the breakfast area to get to the pool. Not cool. Nothing like […] trying to eat when the floor is soaked and you have screaming kids at 8am. The pool should open AFTER breakfast is done. The pool is also open to folks who are not guests for a small fee which is just odd. Overall, the room was cheap and clean, but I would not stay again at this hotel. The staff was OK. A few of the towels in the bathroom had bleach burns in them, the guy at the front desk made me return them BEFORE giving me new ones?!?!?!?! "surprising confortable and clean"
My boyfriend and I did not have big expectations of this place since we booked online and you never know what you will get in reality, but we were pleasently suprise for the cleanliness and confort of the place for the price we payed. Definitely we recommend it.

Very nice experience staying here. Clean, friendly, pool/hot tub, breakfast - all good. The staff was the best! Well worth the money! We travel, so this is a good recomendation. First time I've made a waffle in many years. You won't be dissapointed! I hope the spelling is at least close (I am the worst).

It was our first stay at Microtel Inn & Suites and a very good one. Great front desk service. The bed was extra comfortable. Satellite TV. Restaurants close by. Not far from York, Wells and other beaches. Elevator and stairs. Great price. All in all a great experience for a 2 nights stay.

For the price level of this Motel we were very pleased. It is modern and fresh and new, has a pool, a decent breakfast - wish it had yogart & more interesting fruit than extra green apples - but has waffles and decent items. SO I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff and the hotel where great. Every one was very pleasant. Considering this was done on very short notice it was a home run as far as getting away for the weekend. I have already recommended it to several friends.

This hotel was great! Not a lot of in room amenities but not a dump by any means! Pool was great, free breakfast wasn't a huge selection but everything was fresh and the waffles rock! Friendly staff no problems at all will definetly stay here again The perfect hotel for travelers on a tight budget!
