"Good quality for the price."
You get what you expect for this hotel. It is a smaller hotel. So there is one person at the front desk only and if this person is busy you have to wait. However, the staff was friendly and fast. The rooms are nice and up to date. Well the air-conditioning (block under the window) is not to my taste. I did stay in a room facing away for the street […] which was perfectly quite. There is no way to get an evening meal in the hotel, that is there is no restaurant in the hotel. There is a Mexican restaurant in 4 minutes walking distance, which was okay (cheap but very good value for money & friendly staff). The taxi service was took 40 minutes to arrive the other company was booked for 2 hours. So you better oder you taxi the evening before. Given the alternatives, I would stay there again and eat in the Mexican restaurant again... Læs mere

Breakfast was just so-so. Powdered scrambled eggs, plastic like pancakes. only one type of danish, omlett with some type of meat concoction inside the size of a quarter. coffee was very weak. Hostess was very nice and attentive.
"Holiday Inn, Kent, Ohio - a comfortable room."
The staff was friendly and accomodating. The room was clean except for mold on the shower curtain. The bed was very comfortable. It was fairly close to our reason for being in Kent. The breakfast was ok; the same as other Holiday Inns. I would recommend it and would stay there again.

Nice clean hotel with an enforced no smoking and quiet hours policy that was easy to get to and had a nice natural area on two sides. The only down side was breakfast was not very good. Overall a very good experience.
"Rude Treatment from Holiday Inn!"
When making the reservation, I was told there would be no problem to add a night. When I checked in on July 29th, 2011, the desk clerk, Dean, asked me if we would be staying 2 nights. I said yes, the firsy night is prepaid and here is my Visa to cover the second night. He made a copy and gave us our key cards to the room. We went to the Summit County […] Fair all day for our events on saturday. We returned to our room to find the key card did not work. I sent my daughter to the desk to get it reprogrammed so it would work. The same desk clerk told her no and that they had removed all of our things from the room since they were booked and we only had the room reserved for one night. This was the same clerk who checked us in!!! I was furious! We had others in our party on the same floor and we had the deluxe king suite with the refrigerator and all the food for everyone and now had gotten kicked out! I have never been as rudely treated in my life by any hotel! Had there been any indication that we would not have our room for the next night, we would not have left all our things in the room! I will not be staying in Holiday Inn again after this treatment! Three other families were staying with us that next night at the Days Inn Hotel and they had the same thing happen to them at the Holiday Inn! From Tammy Læs mere
If you are visiting a Kent State Student this location is quite convenient to the college. If you miss the continental breakfast you haven't missed anything.

I did not get to use the pool and I didn't know they had one till I got there so that was an added surprise. Very clean and very comfortable hotel. Oh yeah and the breakfast isn't too bad either

I stayed at this hotel for a week while attending a workshop at Kent State University. The rooms are well kept and tended.. spacious rooms..and not so far away from KSU. A comfortable hotel!!
