The place looks very used, the rooms either ice cold or - if you turn on the radiators - impossible to sleep in, as the radiators sounds like to cars crashing at your feet. BUT! The place is cheap, very clean and the personnel VERY friendly. We had a shared bath-room in the ground floor, which meant everybody used this bath-room, but it is cleaned often […] and was never a problem. The rooms were acceptable, the beds old but acceptable and the rooms are cleaned daily. All in all I would recommend this place to people not planning to spend more time in the room other than sleeping. It is placed very conveniently just 200 meters (650 feet) from stop 96th street at the subway, and in a quiet neighborhood. Acceptabelt hotel, gammelt og slidt, men rent. Virkelig venligt personale og rengjort ofte. Ligger dejlig tæt på metroen. Dog skal man ikke besøge stedet om vinteren, da der enten er hundekoldt eller en radiator, der lyder som et traffikuheld der finder sted i din sengs fodende. Billigt hotel i New York - et stykke væk fra centrum, men tæt på metro med kun få minutter til Time Squre. Kunne godt trænge til en opdatering, men som sagt billigt og venligt personale.

Don't be fooled. This place doesn't exist and hotels. com should pay more attention to what they post on their site. I will never use hotel.com again.

okay hotel for the price...shared bath wasnt bad...staff was really nice...location was good

I was to get a private bath, but the bath was outside the room and came with a key, to make it private. Very noisy, pay a little more and stay somewhere else.

I read a review from 2005, it said this hotel was more like a ymca but they were making improvements. This still applies, however its cheap and cheerful and not far from the metro station

The Hotel Room was cold cos of the window with lousy isolation. The room was quite clean but there was some spider webs. The temparature of the room was all the time around 10-15 degrees celsius. The noises from the street were so loud that it would have been the same to sleep outside. Example of the condition of the hotel: The door to my room was so […] bad that you can literally see inside the room from 2cm hole that they had in the door.. Everything was looking so crappy. The walls and doors to the rooms were painted many times to hide the crap. Definetly not worthy of paying around one hundred per night.. not even in NYC. Of course i was in my room only when i was sleeping. And first time in NYC means that im all the time going somewhere in the city and not staying at the Hotel. Læs mere

Nice clean hotel popular with the European backpacker set. What surprised us was that the bathroom was a Shared Bathroom and no phone/wakeup calls. They have rooms with shared bathrooms and rooms without but the room without a shared bathroom costs more than my hotels.com price. The first room we got smelled funny (like someone had smoked in it). The […] 2nd room was much nicer. I don't think I would rate it a 2.5 star hotel. It is more of a 2 star hotel in my eyes. I didn't expect that great clean large room but it was little bit more crippy than I expected. As a same price as hotel, actually you better call it as Hostel, I rather spend few bucks more to stay in better hotel. Shared bathroom was okay. It was fine for overall as bucks. But what I'm saying is I rather spend 80 bucks for better hotel instead of staying […] at this hostel. Some of the room was clean and nice. Decoration was nothing and looks so crippy. This is a great value for the price. The staff were very nice and accomadating.

This hotel is pleasant with an extremely helpful bunch of receptionists. They happily provided whatever we requested to make our stay more comfortable.The rooms were basic - as you would expect for this price and the shared bathroom was kept clean. Would be more suitable for younger crowd though. Location is great - plush area near Central Park with […] nice restaurants around eg Malecon, which is a Dominican outfit. Very cheap! You won't be blown away, but it works. Will stay there again.

I found the Hotel to be 5mins away from the nearest subway and close to some very nice restaurants . The hotel reception staff were very friendly as the housekeeping staff . There was no kettle in the room i requested one at reception and also a hair dryer and received both . There was lots of hot water and two very comfortable clean beds ,also clean […] towels every day . This hotel seemed to be having a facelift some of the areas were under maintenance ,this did not interfere with my comfort ,would stay here again . Læs mere

Fairly typical for a cheap NY hotel: tiny room w/o room to put your stuff, tv that doesn't get any reception and cheap mattress.

We could not check in to the hotel, because no one was at the front desk for more than an hour. After about two hours we were finally in the room. The room was very small and had very strange smell. The floor was very dirty(used condoms on the floor). The bathroom on our floor was very dirty as well. I don't think it was ever cleaned. Bathrooms on other […] floors were much better. The only good thing I have to say about the hotel is location!! For the price of we paid for this hotel the conditions were horrible. I would not recommend to stay in a hostel. Call the hotel in advance to see what you are getting before confirming your stay. The room may not be what you are asking for!!!

Clean rooms, internet conputer use, 1 block from subwat trains 1, 2 and 3. Great restaurants nearby, safe neighborhood, friendly staff, parking garage ($35 per night) right next door. I will definitly saty here again!

This hotel was great for the value. The location was excellent and very safe. The rooms were very basic and the beds a little hard, but for the price who can complain! Overall if you want just a basic place to sleep for a great value, then you found it.

This was the first time I have stayed in a hotel with a shared bath. I will never do it again. We each had to stand guard at the bathroom door while the other showered or used the restroom because we were not confident the lock was secure. It was a dark, dingy dungeon of a hotel. This hotel is only good if you have nowhere else and you need to be in this area. Probably not worth the cost. Beware that women, maybe prostitutes, booked a room and kept the door open all night lay naked and in lingerie while various men had relations within a room next to it, and the men, divided by 10-15 minute intervals would then enter the shared […] bathroom and leave the hotel. This continued all night. The bathroom was gross. The beds were not real. There was no television. The nonsmoking room smelled like smoke. There are bumps at the doors that will trip you if you don't look. The elevator is ancient-- but if your into antiques that might be your thing. (if you don't mind being stuck in one) Be advised, this is not a place you want to stay, especially with someone you care about like a spouse, family, or children. We did not get the room that we booked first off. We booked a private bathroom and got a shared. They offered to move us back and forth between their sister hotel which was a few blocks away. We ended up staying in the shared bathroom our entire stay. The bathroom was kept clean, but you had to bring in your own toilet paper and towels. The floor was […] almost always wet, too. The first time we stayed at this hotel we had the one nice room they had with a flat screen TV. The only setback is the nice room is on the ground floor level and was noisey. They finally posted a note to keep the noise to a "minimum". The second time we stayed our room was not ready and they gave us the beautiful master suite room for the first 2 nights […] out of three. They initially wanted to put us in a room with a shared bath; this was unacceptable. The staff is accomodating if you are insistant. The price was very reasonable for NY and the area is great. Llegué al hotel en la noche y me dijeron que había habido un problema con la habitación que me asignaron, así es que refirieron a otro hotel cerca con un papel que tenía una tarifa más barata que pagué. Llegué al hotel Marrakesh y me dijeron que no había habitaciones, pero como era muy tarde me la dieron.

Hotel bien situé à l'accueil agréable. SDB communes mais trop peu nombreuses, d'autant que les WC ne sont pas séparés.

Etat général mauvais: porte qui ferme mal, intrusion du personnel sans frapper! et climatisation trop bruyante pour dormir avec (indispensable en août). Un peu excentré mais en métro très accessible (peut être dangereux après 22h).

Kein großes Zimmer und Toiletten auf dem Flur, aber für einen Kurzaufenthalt ausreichend. Hotel ein Block von der U-Bahnstation entfernt. Sehr freundliche Hotelangestellte.

Bilderna, både på deras egen hemsida och på hotels.com, stämmer ej med verkligheten. Smuts och fläckar överallt, dessutom väldigt trångt. Det lilla ofräscha badrummet delas av många rum. Vi hade gärna betalat lite mer för ett bättre hotell! Dock kan man inte neka till att läget är toppen (precis vid Broadway).
