The Arctic Club Seattle - a DoubleTree by Hilton - Seattle

First things first: I like this hotel! I really really like this Hotel. Reminds me of "The Overlook Hotel" in Stephen King's "The Shining" (without the twins, the scary elevators and so forth). The hotel is dark, charming, has a great big bar with a roaring fireplace, pooltable, internet access and a friendly staff. I've read some reviews that the […] rooms are too small. Get Serious! I found it to be spacious, the bathroom was really cool. All in all - I am coming back to The Doubletree Artic Club. one small thing though.... from friday to monday morning, the streets around the hotel are very quiet and not many people around. Within two minutes you can walk to a busier area on 1.st and 2. ave - but if an empty street makes you anxious, and you are visiting in the weekend, you might want to find another place further uptown. Loved the old world feel of the place. Quality linens were appreciated..Staff was attentive and the bar in the lobby is a great place to have an after dinner cocktail.

This was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at and we travel a lot. It has been very comfortably and stylishly remodeled. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The downstairs restaurant, Juno, was also excellent. We went to the Arctic Club Seattle by someone's recommendation, and we will certainly tell our friends about it.

Walking into the beautiful lobby after a long day was like a big exhale. The welcoming furnishings and decor enveloped me. That feeling continued into my room, a 2nd floor room with extreme high ceilings and beautiful moldings. It felt royal - yet not too precious. Probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have slept on, ever. I travel a lot for business […] and the little things mean a lot to me. This was a very nice place to spend a couple of days on business. Outstanding food from the Juno restaurant was available through room service. Everything else was excellent except the room was a bit small.

I was very impressed. And I picky. You were in a location that was an easy walk to the Market area and most restaurants north of the Hotel.

If you're into old historic premium hotels this place is great, if you're not it's kinda boring. For me at this price point I like lots of new amenities, bright rooms, and lots of new tech. Stayed at this hotel from Dec 28-31 and from the first step into the hotel I was treated amazing. Room was great. A must is the opportunity to sit at the Polar Bar when Viktor is working. You will not be disappointed.

The room was not ready an hour and a half after check in time. We were cold and tired and just wanted to check in. The first staff that helped us out did nothing about it and it took another staff member to step up to help us out.

Love this Hotel, Have been here before. It is historically restored and gorgeous! Spotless with amazing beds and linen. The ballroom with it's incredible glass dome is an absolute marvel. The only complaint was having the valet park my car they lost my mail key and I had to deal with that parking company they out source to. The location is frustrating because that's all one way streets near the freeway .

Perfect place to stay if you intend to go for a Seahawks game. It makes it easy to walk over to the local sports bars in preparation for the game and then just walk over without having to worry about driving in or out. However both I and some friends in a different room found the fan for the air circulation to be very noisy at night and I don't think […] even earplugs would be able to block that level of noise! The Artic Club is warm and friendly. The staff was more than acommadating. The food at Junos was very good. The Bar is atractive and has a happy hour worth taking advantage of. We wish our stay had been longer.

Staff made parking a bit confusing and the pillows on the bed were a bit soft. Those are the only complaints I had. This hotel far exceeded my expectations. They got us checked in early, were able to give directions to local transportation and food and looked very professional. My husband and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. Normally we stay on 5th and Pike. The Arctics history is very interesting and the restoration is very well done. I loved the rooms decor and spacious feel. It was very clean and quiet. The common areas are also elegant and very clean. The only downside us the location. This hotel is in a great location in the financial district about a block uphill from Pioneer Square and something like two blocks uphill and ~5 blocks south of Pike's Market. It is right on the light rail tunnel and main bus lines. The ferry terminal is a few blocks downhill. Nice hotel, but overpriced. Excellent location. I do not like that you have to pay for valet parking. If you are paying a lot to stay at a nice hotel, you should get free parking. Nickel and diming your customers is disrespectful. I also did not like that the bar is not open in the middle of the day. The lobby had the feel of a men's club which was kind of historical. Nice place. It was walking distance to all kinds of great coffee, deli shops.

However, during this stay, there was a false fire alarm that woke us from a deep sleep around midnight. We spent about 30-40 minutes evacuated from the hotel. I found the old, but stately hotel quite charming. The renovations done to modernize it allowed much of its old charm to shine through. It would have been nice (and I would have rated it higher), however, if they had thought to double glaze the windows, as the street noise was very evident.

The hotel has a great location in downtown Seattle. The standard rooms are small with no area to sit- other than the bed. This was fine for us since we spent all of our time seeing the city. The hotel provides many amenities in the room including a mini bar that we could use to store food and drinks. The Hotel is welll managed, staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing that I didn't like, was the air conditioner is very noisy - it sounded like a vehicle's engine is running. the Hotel is centrally located, everything is within walking distance. The restaurant is great, and of course there is happy hour, which is great too.

This was our second stay at the Arctic Club Hotel and we have been very satisfied both times. Love the bar! We found the bed a bit hard and the room a bit too cool during the night. On the whole, though, we really like this hotel and would certainly recommend it to others.

Location is not bad , but if you have car add $41 to your bill because there is no safe parking in that area and you need to get Valet Parking , hotel located beside public bus tunnel which means if your room in low level and facing toward street there is no way you can sleep !!! The staff at the Arctic Club was really terrific. They made the experience very high end and extremely easy. The hotel decor maintains the building history as a men's exploration club in tasteful ways. The rooms were a bit small, but that is to be expected in an older property. Overall a ok place. Staff unaccomadating. Short of staff at check in. They do not give a warm fuzzy feeling. Rooms are nice but yhe AC fans are bery noisy
