Hotel Princess - Amsterdam

Ligger fint lige uden for det centrale Amsterdam område. Hotellet virker nedslidt og ikke særligt "delikat". På værelset kan ses decideret "møj" på vægge. Der manglede faglig udskiftning af håndklæder på værelser. Aktuelt er det større vejarbejde omkring hotellet. Advisering herom - og parkering i området - ville være adækvat under perioden med vejarbejde. Døgnpris […] for høj i forhold til hotellets kvalitet. Til den lave standard var det ikke pengene værd, værelset var iskoldt og fugtigt. Det lugtede også fugtigt. Det gamle væg til væg-gulvtæppe var bare ikke lækkert og mindst tyve år gammelt. Morgenmaden kunne ikke være mere minimalistisk og kedelig, der var intet der mættede udover kaffen. Decent stay, the price taken into consideration. Breakfast could have been better. Very plain/simple bread.

The service in the Hotel is below standard, very basic and very steepy stairs to the rooms. The shared bbthrooms and toilet had a pool of dirty water all the times and very uncomfortable to use the facility.

If you want somewhere just to stay which is close to the city centre and within walking distance of many different tourist attractions, then this hotel is for you! Brilliant service and convenient room. Good value for money!

I recently stayed at the princess hotel for 13 nights and was completely satisfied with my single room for the duration of my trip. The room was as advertised and pictured. It had a nice sink and vanity mirror, a tv with plenty of channels, a small desk with chair, and a small cabinet to hang clothes in, not to mention a one person bed. The room also […] had a nice opening window for good ventilation. The temperature of the room was quite comfortable. There were two bathrooms and two showers on the floor in my area which was more than adequate for all the people staying in the single rooms. I never ran into a time when all the bathrooms and showers were occupied. Breakfast each morning consisted of three different meats, one type of cheese, two types of bread for toasting, two types of cereal(one corn flakes and the other granola), orange juice, milk, butter, jams, jellies, and chocolate spread. Also included in breakfast was coffee, tea, hot chocolate, mochas, cappuccinos, and cafe con leche. It was more than adequate and filling. As far as the location, it was a few blocks to the museums, zoo, coffee shops, and other attractions. There is also a grocery store across the street which was very convenient. The free wifi was great. The only drawback to the internet was the hours of availability (the wifi was only on from 10am to 11pm). The room was cleanly. If you like clean towels every day, make sure you tell the front desk or ask and they will be provided to you. The room was cleaned and made up every day and was satisfactory. The noise from other travelers was minimal and I had no problem getting sleep. As far as safety, I felt completely safe in the surrounding neighborhood and in the hotel. This is the most gross and worst serviced hotel we have ever stayed in Europe. We were bitten all over by bed bugs. I got up at night to catch bed bugs several times during the night. The bathroom floor is slippery meaning it was not cleaned. At night, we heard the rats chewing the ceilings. The quality of the reakfast was also the worst. The service […] was so bad that we were observing a couple of guests stepped into the breakfast room a minute after 10am. The service lady had started collecting the food and absolutely with a cold face refused to serve to the guests just because it was a minute too late, incredible. Læs mere

Stayed there for a week and it did the job - kept me warm at night. The location did it all, otherwise not so great hotel with sub standard breakfast and not so pleasant rooms (i had a small single bed). Since I'm not that picky it didn't bother me much and my main reason for coming to Amsterdam this time, was to party so a cheap accommodation was […] more important than a nice room. Had I traveled there for the sights and sounds with my girlfriend my priorities would've changed. Looking for a cheap stay, excellent calm location close to transportation, restaurants, clubs, museums etc. and don't care about where you stay - go for Hotel Princess! Læs mere

This place was pretty easy to get to from Schipol airport or the Centraal station. The neighborhood is great! It is close to the tourist attractions, but when you're not in the mood for the tourist stuff there are lots of little local places. The rooms were a little dirty, but they service the room everyday and try to keep it as clean as possible. […] The bathrooms are shared, which is a little annoying - but I guess you get what you pay for? Finally the staff is so nice and helpful that it makes up for any of the little inconveniences. I looked at all the other reviews and want to say, this hotel was great! This review is coming from a 26 year old's perspective; all the people at the desk were polite and helpful. The room was small, but you're in Amsterdam, get out of your room and rent a bike! i stayed in a single room, sharing a bathroom and shower. the room was very nice and the staff was very helpful! there was a lot of construction going on with the showers and stuff so that was kind of annoying. but theres free wifi throughout the hotel and that was nice. on a busy street not too close to center but very close to transportation and right […] next to the park! would definitely stay here again! The room was small and shabby. Despite it being a non-smoking hotel (all the bedroom doors has no smoking signs) this was not enforced by the staff and on leaving the bedroom at night (to use the shared toilet facilities) you were hit by a wall of marajana! For breakfast, they should introduce some variations, especially for guests who stay more than two days. Overall, hotel reception was very friendly. I also was pleasantly surprised to see a wide-screen TV in the dining area.

L'hôtel est modeste mais tout à fait convenable et propre. Le petit déjeuner est correct. Proximité Musées, Leidesplein, vondelpark, trams 1 et 3. l'Idéal pour passer un bon séjour est de prendre un ticket Tram valable plusieurs jours.

Es un hotel pequeño pero acogedor, esta muy bien situado, tiene la linea de tranvía enfrente, y cerca paradas de bus. Tiene todos los servicios alrededor, supermercado, bares, restaurantes.

Princess Hotel will be a nice place after they get rid of the bed bugs. The rooms are a bit poor, but we got a balcony which was nice. I dont know if the bedsheets were clean, at least they never changed them during the five days we spent there. The bed had visible signs og bedbug-manure (black penmarkings under the bed), and we found one bedbug crawling […] on the duvet. I also got a lot of bites during our stay. Das Hotel ist ein 1-Stern Hotel. Man kann keinen übermäßigen Komfort oder eine super Austattung erwarten. Die Zimmer sind klein und ,bis auf die Betten, nicht wirklich sauber. Bra hotell, med nära (gångavstånd) till bra och mysiga klubbar, caféer och restauranger. Trevlig och kunnig personal. För att vara Amsterdam är det bra är hotellet jättebra till ett bra pris. It´s cheap. The staff is friendly. I read some reviews before we went, that the staff were grumpy and impolite, but they were nice towards us. We got a room on the top floor and the stairs kills you, so you should not drink a lot if you want to sleep in your own bed. The area was a bit noisy because of the traffic, but it was very close to Vondelpark […] and the tram so it was ok. Læs mere

en general es un hotel adecuado para viajero no demasiado exigentes y con un presupuesto ajustado. a 15-20 min del centro a pie, la zona es muy tranquila y bien comunicada. las habitaciones son pequeñas pero limpias. los baños compartidos están suficientemente limpios. el desayuno un poco justo y aburrido (cada dia ofrecen lo mismo). aunque una de las […] razonas por la que escogimos el hotel fue que tuviera recepcion de 24horas al llegar tarde por la noche, encontramos al chico de recepción casi de casualidad porque cerraba recepción a las 23:00. el presonal es amable. For meg var dette et ypperlig alternativ - svært billig, sentralt og jeg skulle tilbringe minimalt med tid på hotellet. Rommet jeg hadde var riktignok svært lite, men det hadde jeg også forventet til den prisen. Betjeningen var hyggelig og imøtekommende. Flere trikkelinjer går rett utenfor døra, og det var lett å ta seg til sentrum. Ligger også rett […] ved Vondelpark. Tror dog jeg ville valgt et annet hotell til familieferien! Veldig lite hotell. Liten plass, bittesmå rom, og ganske uprofesjonell service fra de "ansatte". Jeg visste vel aldri hvem som arbeidet der eller ikke. Hvis man sitter å drikke alkohol i en resepsjon, viser det vel at man ikke er helt kvalifisert eller motivert til å drive et hotell. Var heller ikke en mulighet å beholde rommet i et par timer etter […] utsjekkstid, selv om jeg spurte dagen før, og det ifølge "sjefen" ikke kom nye gjester til rommet før dagen etterpå. Læs mere
