Vi boede to nætter på Avenue Suites, og var mere end tilfredse. Kæmpe lejlighed i fuldstændig nyistandsat bygning, meget venligt og hjælpsomt receptionspersonale, og sågår en udemærket (inkluderet) morgenmadsbuffet, som vi ikke var blevet lovet på forhånd. Topkarakterer!! :-)

Virkeligt dejligt hotel med god beliggenhed i forhold til alle de store seværdigheder. God service i receptioenen. Desværre et værelse ud til en skakt, men havde ikke tid til at ærge os over det.

Hottellet ligger rigtigt centralt i forhold til de store seværdigheder i det centrale Washington DC. Det er slidt og af ældre dato, men det er funktionelt og vi havde ikke noget at udsætte på servicen. Desværre er hotellet stort og billigt, hvilket lejrskoler og lignende også benytter sig af. Det var ret irriterende, at den pris hotels.com oplyste blev belagt med en skat på 10 procent pr. overnatning da vi tjekkede ud og skulle betale regningen! Vi forventede at den oplyste pris var den fulde pris!

Fint suite-værelse med separat soverum. Der var lidt mørkt og kun to stole ved spisepladsen, men ellers fine faciliteter. Vi havde booket to nætter til at "komme" os efter en lang flyvetur med to børn, og det var hotellet rigtig fint til.
Placering.
Fairfield Inn by Marriott Washington D.C. ligger i Washington og er tæt på U.S. National Arboretum, Gallaudet University og Det Franciskanske Kloster. I nærheden er også Catholic University of America og Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.

"New hotel with spacious lobby"
The pool is super small, just big enough to get wet. Don't plan to do any lap swimming! The hotel is very nicely decorated. It seems brand new. If you have a car, use the adjacent Holiday Inn to get in and out more conveniently, since New York Ave is one way heading east at the Fairfield Inn entrance. "accessible to downtown"
Nicely accessible to downtown for business except that it's a pain to get into the road initially! You can only go either east on NY Ave (away from downtown) and figure out how to turn around or go north on Bladensburg (again, away from downtown) and figure out how to turn around. The stay at Fairfield was great. We got on really late, I just wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel was very clean , and the halls smelled pleasant. Definitely will return, and recommend a friend.

I stayed only one day with my boyfriend, but we would like to stay more if we have enough time to browse wachington. The hotel was so great with everything though the location is hard to approach without car. I was totally satisfied with the service. Nice breakfast, kind hotel desk and wonderful shuttle bus. I really want to recommend this hotel!

I had a very pleasant stay. The only downside was the charge for parking. I was not aware of the parking fee when I made the reservation. This should be disclosed at the time of reservation.

We had a good state in this hotel . It is clean and confortable. Although the location is not very good, it is close to all the most see sights in the Capital City. It.s price is fair include a complete breakfast. The hotel also offers gym, pool and jacuzzi . I really recommended it for families enjoying short vacation weekend or weekdays.

I was not even sure where this hotel was when I booked it. I was pleasantly surprised that even though it seemed a little ways out of town it was a convenient cab ride to all of the things I was visiting. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

The hotel was worth the cost (very affordable)-- it was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Loved the complimentary breakfast as well as the free shuttle bus to Union Station. "Only if you're staying one night"
Hotel was fine, staff very nice. The neighborhood was terrible. Two Exxon station mini-marts, a combo Taco Bell/KFC, a Rally's and a McDonalds are your ownly dining choices. "Recent Visit"
Hotel was very nice & new. Room was clean & staff was very helpful. The only complaint is that the A/C was broken on one if the shuttles. It was very uncomfortable to sit in a full van when it was 90+ degrees outside during rush hour. Price was right for the location.

This hotel also provides shuttle to Union station. Only issue I had was with their wireless or wired Internet. It was too slow, even after they directed my call to their Internet sevice provider, nothing could be done.

Stayed there over President's Day weekend. My second time. Very well kept hotel. Clean room. Breakfast is great, better than in the other similar hotels and free. Loved fresh strawberries in syrup with waffles. PARKING FEE IS OVERPRICED - $16 PER NIGHT. I think parking fee must be included in hotel description, which was not the case here. There is […] no street parking by the hotel and the neighborhood is not the best, so had to pay. Police is almost always present at the lobby day or night. When checked-in I've got room on 2nd floor and it smelled weird like a mix of smoke, mold, and cleaning solutions. Called front desk. They offered another room on 3rd floor which was perfectly clean and comfortable, no smell at all. Free Internet both wireless and wired. "nice hotel but may be understaffed"
the hotel was clean and the room was good. i had to wait a long time in line without even being acknowledged by the woman at the desk. there were two people in front of me and the wait was about 20 minutes. the girl was nice, i just think that they are understaffed. they have one person answering the phones and dealing with anyone checking in.
It is most convenient to stay in a hotel that is within walking distance to a metro stop. I was told the Fairfield Inn was when I booked the stay, but it requires a taxi or shuttle bus ride to reach the nearest metro stop at Union Station. This makes the location a little inconvenient and adds transportation cost if you're going into the city. The door to the room jammed and some neighbors in the hallway were asked to help. After numerous tries, it opened. Inside the room, the door to the closet was constantly jamming. "The Oasis"
I was very happy to end my day in this atmosphere of peace and relaxation. It was close to my work area and close to everything I needed to end my night. I felt like I had been rescued from sinking sand of stress and tiredness.

Very nice and professional hotel. Received a upgrade for free and the suites are nice. External speakers on TV and a ipod ready stereo and alarm clock. Only drawback, if you looking to sleep in it's not going to happen. Between the traffic noise and the trains really hard to sleep through.

250,000 people showed up for this rally so Washington was really filled with a lot of people. We paid 2.5 times what this hotel would have normally charged so we paid 5 star prices for a 3 star hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The area this hotel is in has hardly any restaurants except for fast food and it's not close to anything a tourist […] would want to see. Hotel itself exceeded all my expectations: Great room, clean, comfortable bed, Wifi & hi-speed internet, comp breakfast, etc. BUT -- the shuttle service is POOR. It is hard to get ANYwhere from this hotel. The free shuttle service to the nearest Metro station (Union St.) runs 20-40 minutes LATE every single time. So you either get where you want to […] go late, or WAIT for 30-45 minutes at Union Station for the shuttle to arrive. This alone makes it worth the extra $ to stay somewhere more accessible. "You Must Stay Here"
The D.C. Hotel Rates are outrageous,-- But not this hotel. YOU MUST, MUST ,MUST STAY HERE. The price is right. The People are great and the rooms are 3.8 star. I would stay there again in a heart beat.
"Extremely Satisfied"
Staff was courteous and helpful, whether it was helping to plan our day in the city or just providing an extra blanket. Not much for dining in the local area, but if you plan well, you should be able to eat at Union Station and ride the shuttle back to the hotel.

The hotel clerk had the greatest personality. There are only fast food restaurants close to the hotel, so she was gracious to help me find some restaurants that delivered. Not in the best of neighborhoods though. I did not feel that comfortable leaving the area of the hotel.
