Hotel Bern - Tallinn

We only stayed one night here, but had a really fantastic stay. We happened to be staying there on my birthday, and we had made no mention of this, but they must have noticed it on my paperwork when we checked in because they showed up with a bottle of champagne & roses for me that evening. It was so unexpected & so thoughtful! The hotel is neat, simple […] and clean, but I would say that their best asset is their staff. Everyone we dealt with was incredibly helpful - from almost immediately responding to my e-mail requesting directions to the hotel to helping us figure out how to turn the heat up - they were fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and should I find myself in Tallinn again, I will definitely stay at Hotel Bern. Læs mere

For what we paid, this hotel was excellent - close to Old Town and with very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was very good.

The service we received was first class - the staff were extremely helpful. Rooms were on the smallish side but were well maintained. Breakfast options were varied and catered for most tastes - the staff regularly top-up the items that are used and are very helpful. Although the snow was still around and temperatures were a little chilly - the hotel and visit to Tallinn was excellent. Hotel Bern is ideally situated for easy access to the Old town, and short walk to Newer shopping Malls. Located right beside the old town in a quiet street, five minutes walk from airport bus stop and city tour and main bus station. Pretty much everywhere was within walking distance of hotel. Room was fine with a a couple of English language channels on tv, room facilities were excellent. I Would recommend this hotel

We stayed at the Hotel Bern for a long weekend in March - upon check in the Reception staff were very helpful and provided details about the Hotel itself but also a map on which they highlighted key sites to visit whilst in Tallinn. The Hotel itself is very clean and modern and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was of a very good quality […] for a continental breakfast, with a wide range of food and drinks available. The location of the Hotel Bern is excellent being only a few minutes walk away from the Old Town of Tallinn. Whilst we were in Tallinn the weather was a little cold, with snow on the first day, however, the Hotel always felt very warm. I was very happy with everything at hotel Bern. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, well equipped and clean. The location of the hotel is great too very close to both the Viru square and the new city as well as the old town. Buses from the airport arrive at the Viru so you can be at the hotel within 5 minutes of leaving the airport […] bus. There is also a supermarket across the road from the hotel should you need to do any shopping and the Kalev Spa is about 100m away. I would highly recommend the hotel for your stay in Tallinn. Went in February and Tallin was experiencing some unseasonal weather and it was -19 on all the days we spent there. Hotel was clean and reception staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The room we stayed in was basic and very clean. However, the bed was not particularly comfortable and the air conditioning […] unit was very noisy (not sure if it was broken) and it did wake me up during the night with the noise. The location of the hotel was perfect as it was just a 5 minute stroll to the old town which was very beautiful. Would recommend a stay at this hotel if in Tallin. Læs mere

Great location, close to the old town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice. We tried to put three adults in a sinlge room ( our mistake) and it was tight but we simply got an additional room and it was perfect. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. We had a fantastic stay in Tallinn. Hotel Bern was ideally located just outside the city walls. The hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful - they recommended excellent places to eat and drink in the city. If we were being picky the ‘double bed’ was two singles pushed together with a slim double mattress over the top and our bathroom had an […] occasional smell from the drains. The Hotel was clean and very friendly. The reception staff were very helpful with nay questions. The location is great as it is on the edge of the Old Town, with many restaurants and bars close by. I will stay then again.

Situated on the edge of Old Town Tallinn The Bern is convenient to downtown, Old Town and the harbor too. This is not a five star hotel but you are not going to pay a five star price either. It's small and there's no view from the window - just walk outside and go a couple of blocks. They offer a superb full breakfast and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable […] and eager to help. The hotel was ideally located right by the old town, port, shopping district & olympic sized swimming pool at Kalev Spa/hotel (visit there highly recommended). It was clean, quiet and well maintained. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. If I were return to Tallinn I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Hotel Bern again!

Siisti ja hyväkuntoinen hotelli, kätevästi vanhan kaupungin tuntumassa lähellä kauppoja ja ravintoloita. Henkilökunta ystävällistä ja kielitaitoista. Aamupala hyvä. Ainoana miinuksena ikävä viemärinhaju hotellin aulassa, onneksi hajua ei kuitenkaan ollut huoneessa.

Das Hotel liegt am Rand der Altstadt, die daher sehr gut zu Fuss zu erreichen ist. Zu den Haltestellen des öffentlichen Nahverkehrs und den modereren Neubauten in der City ist es auch zu Fuss nicht weit. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt.

Erittäin mukava hotelli hyvien yhteyksien ja palveluiden lähellä, siisti,rauhallinen.

Mukava perushotelli, mutta arvioitu selvästi yläkanttiin. Neljän tähden luokitukselta olisimme odottaneet enemmän luksusta - avomieheni mainitsi huoneeseen saapuessamme opiskelija-asuntomme tuntuvan ylellisemmältä. Huoneemme oli hyvin pieni ja varustelultaan minimalistinen. Huomattava miinus oli käsisuihkun puuttuminen! Lisäksi saapuessamme huoneessa […] oli todella kylmä, jouduimme heti tullessamme vääntämään patterin täysille ja laittamaan ilmalämpöpumpun päälle. Huoneesta maksamaamme hintaan suhteessa taso oli kuitekin riittävä, ja kaikesta huolimatta huone oli siisti ja viihtyisä. Aamiainen oli riittävän runsas: tarjolla oli munakokkelia, lihapullia, tuoreita hedelmäviipaleita, jogurttia, mysliä, leipää, croissantteja, mehuja, kahvia ja teetä. Pidemmällä yöpymisellä olisimme kyllästyneet, sillä molempina aamuina tarjolla oli täysin samat vaihtoehdot, samoja viipaloituja hunajameloneita, verigreippiä ja appelsiinia myöten. Hotellin sijainti oli todella hyvä, satamaan on kohtuullinen kävelymatka, vanha kaupunki on ihan siinä ympärillä ja Viru Keskukseen shoppailemaan on lyhyt kävely. Yhteenvetona voisin sanoa, että Hotel Bern oli huonoin neljän tähden hotelli jossa olen yöpynyt, mutta perushotelliksi erittäin hyvä. Sopii sellaiselle, joka ei vaadi luksusta vaan yksinkertaisesti mukavaa, luotettavaa majoitusta. Meidän matkamme sijottui hiihtolomaviikolle, ainakin silloin tuolla hotellissa oli lisäksi hyvin rauhallista. Læs mere

Litet, bra hotell med bra läge nära till allt. Precis i kanten av gamla stan, med de moderna shoppinggalleriorna på 5-10 min promenadavstånd. Trevlig personal, enkla men schyssta rum, frukosten helt OK. Ganska "typiskt" hotellstil; hetäckningsmattor, mässingsdetaljer, vinrött....(dvs inte så personligt) men för billigt schysst boende en weekend i Tallinn […] är det perfekt! Læs mere

Var på tur med min mor desember 2011. Var veldig god service fra de ansatte. Frokosten var enkelt, men mer enn nok. Rommene var store og greie. Veldig sentralt. Bor her neste gang også. Anbefalest.

Koselig lite hotell, meget god service, kunne hatt litt mer utvalg i frokost serveringen, men maten var god, rommet var helt greit,savnet det å kunne åpne vindu.Stille og rolig strøk.God nattesøvn. Sijainti paras mahdollinen. Lähelllä kaikkia nähtävyyksiä, mutta kuitenkin erittäin rauhallisella paikalla. En voi muuta kun suositella. Ainoa huono puoli oli aamiaispöytä. Suppea valikoima, vähän istumapaikkoja ja hidasta palvelua. Muuten loistava hotelli ja ystävällinen henkilökunta.

Peaceful and nice hotel close to the Old town. No night club which is good. I will come again!

Mycket trevlig personal och bra läge, med nära till det mesta. Frukosten var helt ok.

Bra sängar, bra frukost, tyst och lugnt, rent och prydligt. Perfekt för den som vill ha ett hotell för att sova gott och starta dagen bra, och som inte bryr sig om sällskapsrum och annat på hotellet utan hellre ger sig ut på stan. De viktigaste funktionerna med andra ord, dessutom precis i kanten av gamla stan, två minuter till "ströget". Skulle gärna […] bo där igen. Læs mere
