Pænt og nydeligt hotel. God service. Lille men ok morgenmads restaurant. Ikke så stort udvalg, men ok. Meget rolige omgivelser. Men alligevel lige midt i Lyon, med få minutters gang til det hele.

Ved ankomsten: Hotellet udgået for bykort, men man tilbød ikke at fremskaffe et. Ingen aircondition på værelset - og det var 35-40 grader. Vi spurgte efter første nat om vi kunne leje en elektrisk vifte (de havde en stående i receptionen), og vi fik tilbudt at låne den. Ellers havde vi måttet skifte hotel. Meget nedslidt hotel. Absolut ingen ekstra […] comfort bortset fra en hårtørrer. Toiletrulleholderen knækket af, hylden ved spejlet knækket af (ingen afsætningsplads overhovedet bortset fra gulvet), hylde i badet knækket af. Ingen markering af "pas på hovedet" ved nedgang til det meget lavloftede morgenmadsrum (ikke engang 2 m til loftet) Min mand stødte hovedet mod lavtliggende bjælke med hul i issen til følge. Chefen blev lynhurtigt hentet, og vi fik tilbudt at de ville ringe efter læge. Det sagde vi nejtak til, og fik i stedet tilbudt klorhexidin, plaster og noget smertestillende. Næste dag var der stadig ingen markering af "pas på hovedet". An easy walk to Place Bellecourt, or over the footbridge to Vieux Lyon. Very friendly receptionist. Thanks Isobel! Nice to have a kettle and cups in room to make a cup of tea. Very nice spacious bathroom, but bedroom was very small.

There is little or no outside noise (great), the inside noise however was very revealing about my neighbours (not so great).

The staff at this hotel was extremely friendly. i had a very large cormer room with huge windows. it is located in a great spot next to a metro and tons of good food. i would stay here again.

We loved this hotel and have vowed to return. The location was fabulous, located on the peninsula between the two rivers. The staff were welcoming and knowledgeable about their town. They have a lovely Breakfast room with a homely feel and you can also take lunch packs for the day. Close to shops, restaurants and historical sites. Grand Hotel de la Paix may not be everybodies cup of tea, especially if you need american standard ammenities, but it sure was mine. I loved the feel of the place, the incredibly nice & informative staff, the breakfast room & the breakfast, the floor to ceiling window opening out to a tiny balcony overlooking one of Lyon's most posh streets. They even […] pack you a bagged lunch which we ate in the museum garden before entering. The location made walking a breeze. Instead of using the lift, use the stairs which are very pretty & make you feel like you live there. Just be forewarned that if you are driving in, finding a parking place on the street to register & then driving to a car park is a bit difficult. I feel it's well worth that hassle. Læs mere

my daughter and I stayed 5 nights and had a wonderful stay. The staff was helpful with everything and everyone spoke english! the room was clean and the view was perfect! We loved the location, restaurants a few steps from the front door. We walked to all the sights to see, and shopping! The bed, although low to the ground was comfortable and the linens […] superb. This hotel was well located in the centre of Lyon and well priced with the bonus inclusions of breakfast and a daily lunch of sandwiches, chips and a drink. We do however recommend requesting a room that is not on the 5th floor: our first night was spent here and as the floors are laminate we were woken many times by people open and closing doors and […] walking down the halls. This hotel is situated in the very heart of Lyon, in which many places can be accessed on foot! the hotel staffs are extremely helpful and nice! they provided all the service I want and recommended some local places of interest. The room was very large and comfortable. What is unexpected is that breakfast and lunch box provided!! There is only one point […] to make is the wifi connection. It is free but it is not stable. I stayed here during a conference. The hotel is old and worn but with friendly, supportive staff. Internet didn't work at all during my 48 stay which means I have to say this is unsuitable for a business traveller.

American hotels are into multiple pillows, tall mattresses with pillowtops and other cultural differences in creature comforts. The French have a different cultural standard. Their beds are lower to the floor. Their pillows are different than ours. Their bath tubs have much higher sides and narrower overall. That said, all the hotels I booked on hotels.com […] for my first French trip exceeded my expectation on location, cleanliness, safety and comfort taking into consideration cultural differences...including this one. We chose the Grand Hotel de la Paix because it was so central to all the historic sites and museums in Lyon. It was an excellent choice, within easy walking distance of everything, including shops and some serious restaurants, and close to the Metro stop. The staff were friendly and unobtrusive. This hotel was by far the best during our recent stay in France. While only 3 star, the service eclipsed the 4 star we later stayed in by far. Everyone was helpful and couldn't do enough for us. The position was unbelievable, right in the centre of Lyon within minutes walk of everyone. Definitely going back.

This hotel is well-located within walking distance to Old Lyon, shops and restaurants. My only complaint would be the lack of air conditioning as I visited when it was 37 degrees (high 90s F). Great welcome by reception, were offered a bottled beverage as a welcome and a bagged lunch the next day. This small hotel's greatest asset is the central location, you can walk to almost all sites of interest in ten to fifteen minutes. The staff was quite friendly and helpful. Perhaps Grand shouldn't be in the name, and the room decor is spare, but I thought it a good value. The welcome beverage and lunch basket were nice touches. This is in the perfect location for exploring Lyon. You can get anywhere in the city very easily on foot. The rooms are small and cramped for 2 people, but well maintained. The guys at the Front Desk were very helpful.

Centrally located. Good for tourists / backpackers but not suitable for business travelers.

Kanonläge - nära till "allt". Rent och snyggt. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Avresedagen ordnades frukost extra tidigt utan problem. Ett hotell att rekommendera.

Belle surprise que cet hôtel en plein coeur de Lyon. L'hotel est conforme aux attentes ; très bon emplacmeent , accueil parfait ; petit + commerciales très agreables ; seule réserve: la chambre au 5ème était étroite, le bout du lit touche le mur mais par ailleurs cette chambre est très claire : balcon circulaire filant .

Passé 2 nuits à l occasion du concert des enfoires. Hotel propre et pas trop bruyant. Bon petit déjeuner Personnel très sympa et serviable. A 2 pas du vieux lyon et du métro. Boisson et lunch box offertes. Bon rapport qualité prix pour ce type d établissement.

Je recommande vivement cet Hotel pour un court séjour de visites, shopping et gastronomie de part sa situation.l'acceuil est vraiment très chaleureux, moi qui me suis retrouvée seule pour une nuit, le réceptionniste a su m'indiquer le restaurant adéquat, et toujours avec le sourire. Dieses schöne, sehr zentral gelegene und komfortable Hotel war perfekt für unseren viertägigen Ferienaufenthalt. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das im Preis eingeschlossene Frühstücksbuffet war recht ausgiebig und für unsere Bedürfnisse genau richtig. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Das WiFi war ziemlich unzuverlässig und hat oft keine Daten […] geliefert. Sonst waren wir rundum sehr zufrieden. Læs mere

Je ne pouvais mieux trouver pour sa situation géographique, au centre de tout... La politesse et le sourire de tout le personnel rencontré m'a vraiment plu.

L'hotel è in una posizione centrale e comoda, il circondario non è male. Purtroppo la struttura avrebbe bisogno di una radcale ristrutturazione. Ha un aspetto trasandato con impianti e mobilio alquanto fatiscenti. C'è da dire che è pulito. Colazione non adeguata. In generale non vale il prezzo pagato.

Arrivée à l'hôtel j'ai découvert une chambre très petite voir trop petite pour un hôtel de cette gamme en plus, la connexion Internet n'a jamais fonctionné durant les 3 jours visiblement le contrat était passé en contentieux. Il est vrai que cet hôtel est situé de façon parfaite au centre de Lyon proche de tout et le personnel est dévoué. Le petit déjeuner […] est sans plus. Hôtel très bien situé. Quelques détails qui auraient fait la différence: cheville à moitié arrachée derrière le lit, lampes de chevet, interrupteur et ampoule qui ne marchaient pas. Carrelage mal posé/cassé dans la sdb. Peinture à refaire dans le chambre pour cacher des traces d'anciens meubles. Avec 2 ou 3 heures de travaux d'entretien j'aurais donné […] 4/5 partout. Très bonne situation et panier repas très bien garni super satisfait de notre séjour

Ich hatte glücklicherweise das grösste Zimmer vom Hotel, daher war ich entsprechend mit meinem Aufenthalt zufrieden. Die gemeinsamen Teile des Hotels (Treppenhaus) müssten jedoch renoviert werden. Das Frühstückraum ist auch viel zu klein. Das Personal an der Rezeption war auch sehr freundlich. Praktisch war auch das gratis Lunchpaket!

Bonne situation, belle réception, personnel jeune, sympathique et très disponible mais le confort des chambres laisse à désirer. Déco sans âme, chambre mal disposée et salle de bain " cheap " et minuscule. Pas agréable du tout !

Hotel funcional, situación inmejorable, alrededores magníficos de día y de noche, cerca de todo. Habitación pequeña pero totalmente insonorizada (clave), fachada principal y baño completo. Desayuno buffet y lunch box incluido (clave). Personal atento y amable. Parking enfrente con descuento (clave). Para repetir seguro.
