Nevsky Express Hotel - Skt. Petersborg

It's a wonderful small hotel with the friendliest staff you can imagine. We were always met by big smiles and a genuine how-can-we-help-you-attitude. Only slight downside is the distance from the city center and the main attractions, but if you don't mind walking it's not a problem at all.

Very nice location, but nevsky prospectIs a very busy road so quite loud. One big minus is lack of kettle and cups in the room and that was really annoying. Other than that not extra comfort but not bad.

I am a new traveler and I do not speak Russian. Basically the most I can say is please, thank you, hello, goodbye, how are you, and most importantly 'do you speak English?'. The hotel staff at the hotel was accommodating and most spoke English that I encountered. I highly suggest having the reception hall call for a taxi if you are not familiar with […] traveling by taxi in russia. It's safer and they can get you a better rate in most cases it seemed. The Nevsky express is located directly across from a cell phone shop, a clothing store, and there are plenty of other restaurants and coffee shops in the general area. Since you are also right on Nevsky you can pretty much walk all up and down Nevsky going to shops and restaurants all day. My room was always heat clean. The bathroom as nice and clean as well. Working the heater took me a minute to figure out but once I got it I was warmed up and cozy for my entire stay. The only one flaw is the bed. The bed is not the most comfortable thing. However, I slept very well each night (and sometimes during the day). Please k rep in mind that this hotel is directly facing Nevsky prospect which is extremely busy. You will hear cars and motorcycles sometimes until 2am right in front of you. They can be loud. I believe all hotels on Nevsky will be like this so if you cannot sleep next to it then find somewhere that is not right on Nevsky,,, but then you are missing out on a huge convenience. Læs mere

Pros: Reasonably priced for a hotel conveniently located since everything in Russia costs more compared to the US. Good continental breakfast. The front desk person speaks English. everyone else seems limited in speaking or listening to English but not a big issue. Cons: Our visit is in April and weather is still cold. Room is too hot from central […] heating and no control in room. The only way to cool off is to open the window but that invites noise from the street. Hotel provides an electric fan for relief and that helps. Also, our taxi driver said he could not park in front of the hotel because of one-way and bus lane and we had to walk with luggage about 500 m from the train station where he unloaded us. Læs mere

Quality is excellent and staff speak good English and helpful. Some rooms face onto a busy road and noise even through double glazing can be noticeable. Try to get one onto the courtyard. But the location and convenience to public transport is superb. The breakfast is good and plentiful. There is a hotel computer and free wi fi to use

We enjoyed our stay at Nevsky Express. The rooms are small but clean. It is in a good location, close to Metro (subway) and many bus lines. There are many stores, restaurants, pubs and clubs close also. We stayed in 2 different rooms, was in another city in bettween stays. Minor complaint is that the wi-fi did not work in first room. That room was […] to far from wi-fi station so was not able to get signal. The second room wi-fi worked great. Other complaint stairway to second level rooms was narrow. Our second room had a very nice shower, lots of sprays and jets. The free breakfast was small, not a lot of choices. But dinning room was clean and staff was quick to keep items stocked. Overall is a nice small hotel in a convient location. I would recommend for adults. Family's might have a difficult time here. Læs mere

The hotel is on the main street (Nevsky Prospekt), but a good 30 minutes walk from the main attractions. However, this walk is pleasant and safe, and there are nice buildings and other "mini-attractions". When you get tired of walking there are buses, though traffic on this street is hell... Metro is nearby, but still 5 mins walk, and saves about 20 […] mins of walk. Also the hotel is in an urban area, so no problem finding restaurants nearby. The Armenian place next door is recommended for its excellent food (and low prices) - less for its service. Downside is that some rooms face the street, which as said is very main, so it's a bit noisy - and also the curtains don't really protect from outside light. Breakfast is okay - not more than that. The staff speaks English very well (for St. Petersburg...) and was helpful. Læs mere

Standard 3/4 star hotel with a great location on the middle of Nevsky prospect. A bit noise due to the traffic on Nevsky prospect.

Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht gegeben. Es handels sich hier um ein Hotel der alten russischen Zeiten, mit keinerlei Bestrebungen, hier sich dem internationalen Standard anzupassen. Frühstück erinnert an eine Jungendherberge - wenn überhaupt. Kann ich leider nicht weiterempfehlen.

Очень классный отель ... единственное посоветовал бы им подумать над расположением места для курения. Со второго этажа на первый не очень удобно ходить =) А так все здорово !

Près de la gare de Moskou, l'hôtel est plutôt bien placé. Très proche du métro, au centre du coeur névralgique de la ville, la situation est parfaite pour visiter la ville. Là où le bât blesse, c'est le bruit. Si vous avez la chance d'avoir une chambre sur cour, vous dormirez certainement. Malheureusement quand la chambre a vu sur la Perspective Nevski, […] c'est très difficile de dormir. Apportez vos boules Quiès !
