Enjoyed my stay. Staff were most helpful even prior to my arrival when I was just asking general questions. Room was a welcoming oasis after a lovely day exploring

Most enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our time at the Shantara Resort. The staff were friendly and helpful, the location perfect for a short stroll to the main shopping street and a picture perfect pool on both sides of the complex to choose from. Perfect for couples who want to relax. We would definitely stay again.

This was our 4th trip to Port Douglas and our first time at Shantara. Excellent hotel in a great location with all the comforts you would expect. We will definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate recommending Shanatara.

I stayed in Shantara in pool view studio. Room was a bit small, but big enough for a single person and had everything that I need. Big shower and balcony. It was very clean and very quiet as they do not take kids. Staff was very nice and helpful. Very close to the patrolled part of the beach and to the main street.

Clean room and nice large well landscaped pool. Was a very small room and the cooking facilities advertised consisted of just a microwave. The front rooms face a busy road which can be noisy at times.

Stayed here on our honeymoon, and had a one bedroom appartment, We both loved it was really nice and modern great facitities 5 minute from the high street. Staff was really helpful especially with advice on tours as what they recommended was great. Great place would love to visit here again. Would recommend to anyone you won't be disappointed.

We stayed in the studio pool deck room and everything was perfect, very clean, modern and comfortable. The Location of the Resort is perfect, nice walk to the beach, to main road with restaurants and to the marina. Overall it was a really beautiful holiday and would stay there again. Desk staff was very frendly.

Excellent Apartment,very modern,clean, everything you needed.Two pools,but because of the apartments design to surround the pools there was not much sitting out area and alot was in shade. This would be my only criticism.It was an excellent location for the beach and the shops,and very quiet.

This was a very nice resort. If I stayed there again I would probably choose a ground floor apartment. I chose the 1st floor because I thought you would be able to see into the groundfloor apartments from the pool but that was not the case as the windows were tinted and they had the white sliding shutters. The pools were a little smaller than I would […] have liked and they were not joined which I thought was a shame. One pool seemed a lot smaller than the other probably because of the island in the middle, although they both looked pretty. The only negative Ifelt was the lack of space around the pools for those who did not have a poolside room. Other than that the rooms were great and the package we received from Hotels.com was good value, I will definitely keep my eye out on this website for other deals. Læs mere

Upscale, small facility. Smallish rooms surround small lagoon type pools. Rooms were clean, cold, everything worked. Kitchen dishes and tools were all there. It's quite beautiful. Just step into pool from deck in first floor rooms. Location is key here. 2 blocks from the strip or the beach. Perfect locale. You will be disappointed staying at one of […] the larger joints as it is not easy to get rides into town. You want to be within a couple of blocks of the strip. Front staff was incredible. Became friends with them, very helpful. One great aspect we did not expect was the free laundry closet just outside the rooms. Could not believe they are free to use, they can sell detergent however. All excursions will pick up at Shantara as well. It's just the perfect, small, quiet place that fits perfectly in Port Douglas. Læs mere

This hotel was fantastic. Everyone was really nice and the front desk helped us book all our tours for the area. As an American, I found the Studio room to be a bit small for an entire week, but we didn't spend much time in the room so it didn't matter much. I highly recommend.

I you are looking for a great place to stay in Port Douglas - one that is new, with excellent maintainence - look no further. 2 smallish pools (salt water) nicely appointed accommodations with plenty of tropical vegetation you will find a QUIET place with no loud parties and no small children. Nice place to stay in a great location. Close to main street and marina.

Shantara has an incredible facility - clean, quiet and so new and modern. Staff was friendly and our only complaint was that they were only moderately helpful in booking excursions. We did book our rainforest and snorkel excursions through the hotel, as all of the options were available and the staff was able to do so quickly! There are fabulous restaurants […] within walking distance. Sitting out on your balcony, or by the pool is wonderfully relaxing here. Shantara Resort and Spa gjorde vår vistelse i Port Douglas till en väldigt trevlig trots lite småtrist väder. Studion hade trädäck i direkt anslutning till poolen vilket var väldigt härligt. Vi reste i början av regnperioden(mars) och då var hotellet långt ifrån fullbokat. Det ligger två kvarter från huvudgatan och paraplyer går att låna i receptionen. […] I receptionen hjälpte dom oss att boka aktiviteter. Internetaccess går att köpa i receptionen. Sköna sängar.
