Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown Chicago River North - Chicago

Tæt på Chicago floden, Michigan Avenue, et kvarter med massere af pubs og barer, men alligevel stille og roligt. Jeg kan kun anbefale dette hotel. Det ligger rigtig godt!! Der var mange børnefamilier, hvilket fylde godt op til morgenmaden. Men det er også det eneste negative der kan siges.

This hotel was great for the price. Within walking distance to everything. Staff was the best part of our stay. Everyone was so friendly and happy! The breakfast attendant went above and beyond. Room was very clean. Temp control was good. Stay here so they can take good care of you. I'll stay again.

Felt like we were staying at an "econo-hotel" but didn't get the benefit of econo prices. The housekeeping staff actually knocked on our door an hour and a half before check out, as we were finishing packing, to ask us when we were leaving. Enjoyed our stay here very much. Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful time. The staff was very friendly!! The bed was comfortable, great location to sites. The only down side was, I thought the room was going to have a bathtub, but it was only a shower. Other than that minor thing, everything was perfect. The breakfast was also great!

The Residence Inn is a very nice hotel, situated just north of the loop in south River North. The attached parking garage is one of the hotel's best features. The parking pass provided by the front desk offers in and out priviledges at a reasonable rate. Just outside the front door of the hotel are numerous restaurants, clubs, and shopping. My stay at residence inn is always pleasant. I really enjoy the full kitchen in the suites and their fitness area. Didn't get a chance to visit the pool but I heard its lovely!

My husband and I were happy with both the hotel and price as expressed in the title. There was nothing that stood out as outstanding except for the friendliness of staff. The woman who worked the free breakfast was outstanding. Also the front desk staff was helpful and always had a very pleasant demeaner in the few interactions we had with them. We stayed here because other family members were already here. The suite had a full-sized frig, glasses, dishes, the works - just perfect for keeping costs down in the city. Breakfast and cocktails both delivered more than we expected, though both were pretty crowded, perhaps due to families on vacation. Stayed here on a short Chicago trip right after Christmas, which may have been a factor for how crowded the place was. Very small pool (full of small kids). Whirlpool was ok but a bit small. Dining area was overcrowded for the breakfast buffet; food seemed average to below-average for a hotel breakfast offering. I don't understand why a hotel this big […] has such a small pool and a small dining area! Our room was also very small (however, it was very clean). It would have been fine for 2, but felt crowded for 4 people. The king bed was not comfortable and featured some of the worst pillows I've experienced in a hotel...they felt like cheap spongy foam. The pullout sofa bed was not good either...thin mattress and no spring support. The bathroom door had a terrible squeaking sound when opened/closed...a rude awakening for everyone else in the room if someone needs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. I would not choose to stay here again, nor would I recommend this place to others--there are better options in downtown Chicago, especially if more than 2 people will be sharing a room in your traveling group. The rooms were great, and the breakfast was fantastic. My only criticism is about the alleged "free high speed wired internet" in my room. When I went to connect for the first time I had to select one of two options: 1) High-speed 'Light' internet, "good for email and chatting", and 2) Pay per day true high-speed internet. If you need to do actual work […] or connect to a VPN, then the amazingly slow 'high-speed 'light' option will be inadequate. The true high speed option is quite expensive, so I felt as though I had been a victim of bate-n-switch. Not quite false advertising, but certainly not very honest. Læs mere

Everything about our stay at the hotel was great -- room, comfort of bed, shower, staff, lobby, breakfast. We plan on staying there next year for our yearly holiday get-together.

Staff was very helpful and the breakfast and social hour were great! On Thanksgiving they had what was a complete Turkey dinner,what a surprise!

I did a lot of very thorough research before choosing The Residence Inn Downtown Marriott for my weekend getaway to Chi-town with my boyfriend. We didn't really need a "suite" style hotel (you know, with kitchen and all) but it really turned out to be a better deal than some other nearby and similar hotels that didn't have a kitchen....so we thought, […] $2 more and we get a kitchen? Why not! Anyway, when we got there we were not disappointed, the room, lobby, breakfast area were all really nice, modern and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful...helping us to navigate out schedule around a big parade that was going on and proactively offered us advice about what to do with street closures etc.. (they approached us to let us know...not the other way around..which was nice). The location is pretty great...lots of awesome bars and restaurants within walking distance. Actually, everything (the park, Miracle Mile, etc..) is within walking distance.. I'd say the only pet peeves I had were that when you entered the ground floor you had to take the elevator up 1 floor to the Lobby then SWITCH elevators to get to your room. Also, the price for a bottle of water was absurdddd (a little under $3) and this is coming from a New Yorker...someone who is used to everything being expensive.. The staff was helpful, the room was very nice, and the breakfast was delicious. One nice surprise was the complimentary evening meal offered Mon-Thurs evenings. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. The service and the rooms. I didn't use the pool but that also looked very nice and had geat views of the city. The breakfast was awesome and the woman helping with the breakfast gets a A+. Definately will stay there again.

Loved everything about your hotel except for the parking fees, very unfair for a vehichle thats just setting there.

Price value of this place is right on. Impeccable service throughout and the location is perfect to enjoy Chicago. Most must to do's are in walking distance. The rooms are very comfortable with a little kitchen attached. Nice breakfast bar and lots of personal attention by Ismetha. They have social hour weekday's serving free food and drinks. First time staying in the area of town and this hotel is ideally located. We parked in the garage connected to the hotel and when we checked in she immediately gave us another discount for being guest of the hotel. The front desk staff were all great and accomodating. While the breakfast selection was greatly reduced over the wknds., the lady who runs […] it is amazing! We stayed in a king studio room. Very nice, but when the sofa bed was pulled out a little tight even for three of us. But clean and comfortable. I would definately recommend it and stay here again. Læs mere

Would stay in this hotel again! Clean rooms, great service. Continental Breakfast was the best with a great variety. Women in charge was very friendly and helpful. She even gave us muffins to take with us on our last day! She definitly deserves a raise.

I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful this place is, from the rooms to the staff it was really a joy staying here. The lady working in the cafeteria was the nicest person I have ever met she made sure that everyone was enjoying their complimentary breakfast. I will definitely stay here again, thanks for making my trip to Chicago so wonderful!

This hotel was fantastic and met all of our needs. It is centrally located to popular tourist attractions and also close to all public transportation routes. The staff was super friendly and gave us both an early check in and a late check out. I thought the hotel was great. They provided a wonderful breakfast every morning and evening snacks. The hotel was within walking distance to everything. We enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

You will not be disappointed!

I travel alot, and this hotel is exceptional and great value for money. The standard of service was excellent, and felt personal, even though i was only there for 2 nights. The room was large, clean, bright, comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast buffet was great. Highly recommended.

The staff was friendly, the hotel in general was clean, however the room had a poor view, the water pressure was so .low that it made getting shamppo difficult to rinse off, and the reception on the tv was also terrible. Their are a number of other options in the same area that are a better value and offer more comfort

I was very happy with my stay at the Residence Inn River North. My room was quiet, clean, and a nice size. Every single staff member I encountered was exceptionally friendly. The location is great. Great breakfast buffet - a must on Sunday mornings. Convenient location to great restaurants for when you just can't walk another step. Safe and secure too. A Self Park is attached to the hotel and key card access to the hotel and guest room floors adds a level of security. The staff was great. I will stay there again.

The hotel was very nice and conveniently located. It was our anniversary and we mentioned it at check in and they brought us up a bottle of wine and a card which me and my wife thought was just awesome

Very awesome hotel! highly recommend!

Loved the location of this hotel. Walking distance to good restaurants and CTA bus to Navy Pier. The pool and jacuzzi were an added plus. The breakfast buffet was better than expected. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back!
