Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku - Tokyo

Personalet talte meget dårligt engelsk. Mit første indtryk fik jeg, efter 12 stive lange klokketimer i et fly, da jeg ankom een time tidligere end deres check in tid, og bad om at kunne checke in, men nej, det kunne jeg ikke. Manden i receptionen talte så dårligt engelsk, at en normal samtale var umulig, Jeg måtte gestikulere med hænderne, og tegne […] på et stykke papir. Manden kunne ikke engang forklare mig hvorfor jeg ikke kunne tjekke ind, men viste mig blot et ur og pegede på viserne. Nå, men der var ikke noget at gøre. Så ville jeg have en strømomformer.. Det fattede manden heller ikke, og viste mig en stikadapter. Efter check in og den værste jet lag var sovet væk, var jeg klar til at udforske Tokyo, men hotellet har ingen ansat til at hjælpe med at arrangere ture m.m., men henviste mig til en væg med brochurer. I forbindelse med guidede ture, skal det nævnes at hotellet Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku IKKE er opsamlingssted. Dvs. tilmelder man sig en tur, skal man ud og finde et hotel eller st. som tager turisterne med, og har man en gang været i Tokyo vil man vide, at det kan være sin sag at finde rundt. Hotelværelserne er små, men gode. Super beligenhed tæt på metro og så er der gratis internet.

Vi boede på Sunroute i 7 dage - og har intet dårligt at sige om hotellet. Alt var som forventet eller bedre! Der bliver virkelig gjort alt for at du som gæst skal føle dig særdeles velkommen på hotellet. Jeg kan kun anbefale dette hotel!

Hotellet er perfekt til et kortere ophold i Tokyo. Værelserne er pæne og moderne, omend ganske små. Hotellets beliggenhed er rigtig god, lige ved siden af Shinjuku station i det vestlige Tokyo, og fungerer godt som udgangspunkt for ture rundt i byen. I relation til prisen er hotellet et fund.

fantastisk beliggenhed lige i midten af Sjinjuku, taet paa stor park og masser af shopping muligheder. Ogsaa taet paa det store elektronik marked. Tur firma henter til city ture og andre ture lige udenfor hotellet, saa virkelig praktisk beliggenhed paa alle maader.

Min kæreste og jeg boede 5 nætter på dette hotel og var meget tilfredse med hotellet. Vi havde et af økonomiværelserne, som er ret små, men det havde vi på forhånd regnet med, så det var ok. Værelserne ligner dem man kan se på hotellets billedserie! De bliver holdt flot rene og personalet var flinke til at svar på spørgsmål. Hotellet ligger 5 min. gang […] fra JR stationen i Shinjuku, i den stille ende af bydelen, men fra stationen og i den modsatte retning er der "gang i den" både dag og aften. Læs mere

Pænt, rent og velfungerende hotel. Automater med kolde drikke på etagerne, internetadgang samt varm kaffe og te i loungen. Hotellets restaurant talte ikke engelsk og havde heller ikke menuen på engelsk, så den har vi ikke prøvet, men der er masser af udmærkede spisesteder i området. Beliggende direkte over en af de utallige nedgange til Shinjuku Station. Vanskeligt […] at kommunikere med receptionen på engelsk. Fx havde vi meget svært ved at forklare, at vi havde brug for to enkelte dyner i stedet for en dobbelt. Men der var stor vilje til at hjælpe. This hotel has a good location. Standard rooms are really tight. Everything seems crammed in. Cleanliness was average. Staff was friendly. I have stayed in better in this same proximity.

Close to Shinjuku, Like that the airport bus stops there, so no carrying luggage. Helpful staff, great housekeeping. Pillows could be softer.

Clean, nice and good location hotel in Shinjuku area (very near to JR Shinjuku Station). Would be nice if could stay in JR Tokyo Station but was too expensive, hence this would be the next best location as it's another interchange for most of the JR lines and Narita Express to the Airport.

We really enjoyed the Sunroute in Shinjuku - it's close to the station, bars and restaurants but is very quiet inside. The rooms are a bit cosy but have everything you need and a comfy bed. We have already recommended to friends.

The location of this hotel was great and very useful. We were only 5mins away from Shinjuku station, and walking distance from 7-Eleven (to withdraw money) and McDonalds. As the first stop in our trip, it was also great that the Narita Express from the airport, stopped at this station. One of the main reasons we visited Japan was to see the Cherry Blossom […] festival, and this hotel was only 10mins walking distance from Shinjuku Gyoen, a great place to view the cherry blossoms! There were heaps of eateries and other sights nearby too, including the Metropolitan Government Building, a great lookout over Shinjuku. Our only negative was that the room was very small, but this is something we got accustomed to in various hotels in Japan. We didn't have much interaction with the hotel staff, so there's not much to comment on regarding this apart from the fact that they did speak limited English so it was a little difficult communicating with them. Good location, clean and comfortable room. If you don't need a gym or a pool, this is probably one of the best places to stay for a business trip. Only challenge I faced was when I needed to use the hotel screen for my laptop but the input changing system was locked.

Next to shinjuki station, very clean and comfortable. Wifi. Good coffee. Pleasant stay. Helpful staff. Airport limo bus stop to and from Narita makes it very convenient.

shinjuku station was just 5 min walk away and so are the malls around shinjuku station. There are fast food outlets, cafes and family mart surrounding the hotel. There is also a macdonalds that is open 24 hours just 2 min walk away so you don't have to be afraid of being hungry at the unearthly hours. Though it is near shinjuki station, yet it is not […] noisy. There is free wifi at the lobby and LAN in the room so you'll still stay connected while being away from home. Læs mere

Booked 2 rooms but told no connecting rooms in hotel. But got 2 rooms on same floor few door away, Service is good, Hotel staff is helpful. Room is clean. Location is close to JR & subway. Room are small as in most places in Tokyo. There is also a self serve laundry on basement. Overall this hotel is worth the money in a good location.

Very comfortable

I asked to change rooms because my bathtub moved everytime I shifted my weight while taking a shower. Upon closer observation, the tub moved about a half inch everytime I stepped. The counter top also was not attached to the sink and could be lifted up. Every time I leaned on the counter, the bathtub squeaked. The next room was slightly better, but […] not much. Room space is too small. We have 2 adults and 1 kid, therefore there is not enough space for us. The bed is small also.

OK location close to Shinjuku station, which is why we chose this hotel in the first place. However, we made much better deals elsewerhe in Tokyo later and would probably not return here. Wifi only in the lobby. April 2012.

staff were very friendly. rooms are compact but very comfortable and its a great location for getting around. overall very impressed

Room is the typical Japanese size. I guess all the staff at the reception speaks English and they are in general quite helpful, except for a male staff who is pretty rude. There is a metro exit just right beside the hotel and a convenient store directly opposite. I just wish they have complimentary wifi in the hotel room and earlier check-in time.

The room was comfortable and had complete amenities. It's a 5-minute walk to Shinjuku Station. It was a little pricey for me because I had much simpler needs; but for business travellers, this would be an excellent place to stay. Families would feel very comfortable here, too.

Very international hotel for very nation...Sensible Price...good location on shinjuku..Whenever JR Shinjuku new south Exit is complete....this hotel is nearly platform no.5 of Narita Express Train to Narita Airport....Short walking and laggaging.....I will come back soon...Thank you very much.

cheap hotell in the shinjuku area, small rooms, friendly service.

The hotel is a budget hotel but has nice amenities. It is relatively new and is spotlessly clean. The front desk staff are very helpful and speak good English. The hotel is very close to the Shinjuku JR Station (Narita Express Train) and also the Tokyo Subway System. There is a Starbucks, Citibank, and several shopping malls close by. Everything you […] need is within a few feet of the hotel. The rooms are very small and but very nice. The internet is wired, but free. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is sparkling clean. There are vending machines on each floor that sell drinks including beer. There are washing machines in the basement for 300 yen in case you need to wash some clothes on your trip. Hotel was clean, service was good, but the rooms are extremely small. two people and luggage barely fit, and covered almost the entire floor space. close to Shinjuku train station and reasonably priced.

Very handy location, very close to various train lines. Super helpful staff, really improved our stay. We were expecting a little more comfort in the room for the price - bed and pillows were quite hard, only local TV was free, dirt marks on the carpet, but we didn't spend much time there so it didn't matter so much. Very close to plenty of restaurants, […] bars and cafes. Directions were a bit vague - yes it's only 3 mins from South exit JR station but head right and take the first left at the lights. This hotel has many good things going for it but there some trade offs. Pros: -Location is perfect as a home base. Walking distnce to Shinjuku Station. -It's very clean. -Offers a Western Style breakfast Buffet, bacon, eggs, toast, juice, coffee. Pretty good if you're not ready for smoked fish to start your day. -Airport Limosine service from Narita […] right ot the front door. This is nice after a long flight. Limo tix can be bought in US. - Staff speak well enough english, they also provde maps on how to get around. -Shopping is all within walking distance. -Staff are great! Excellent location.Easy access from Shinjuku JR station.Front desk staff very helpful and knows English. Airport limousine bus service available from hotel,which again is very convenient.

Located at near the Southern Exit of the very busy Shinjuku JR station, this business hotel is minimal, but well kept and has excellent service. As with most places in Japan, it really helps to speak Japanese, but I had some foreign friends mention that they were able to get information from the front desk without a lot of fuss and muss. There is WiFi […] in the lobby, but you need to ask at the front desk for the password. In the rooms there is a LAN cable for laptops, but no open WiFi options, which would have been nicer. The room we stayed in was a economy double room and it was small with just enough room for our suitcases and us. It's perfect for just sleeping and getting a little work done, but not really for lounging around. This is a business hotel after all. Overall, it was a pleasant and convient stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone that would like to stay near the Tokyo hot spots. Læs mere

Great hotel, location perfect, near shinjuku station, easy to get to from airport. The station has mainly link so easy to get around to sight see. The hotel is very clean, room are small but is ok, as you are there to sleep, hotel staff are very helpful, would not hesitate to stay here again when in japan.

Have been staying in this hotel for the past 2 years marathon. Wonderful location with subway station next to it. Starbucks, Family Mart and other restaurant are also within 3 mins walk. Hotel comes with nice business lounge for free internet assess and free printing. Choice with no regrets.

Me and my oartner attempted taking the local keisei train from Narita airport to Shinjuku, and it was not much of a hassle as we imagined. From Shinjuku stn, to get to Sunroute hotel you need to find the South exit (there are many many exits!) and walk towards First Kitchen at the road junction, cross road on left side. The hotel is not very noticeable […] but once you see Macdonalds its a short walk further down! Loved the hotel for its convenience and easy walking distance to many eateries and shopping! Also the hotel staff were friendly and polite, and we could always borrow umbrella from them. Housekeeping was efficient too. Generally nothing to complain about other than the very soft pillows. I would like to request for early check-in for future stay as I will usually arrive in Tokyo early in the morning. Fantastic location for accessing Shinjuku and the train station. Friendly staff. Having the airport bus pick up right at the hotel is a real bonus. Only downside was no wi-fi in the room. It was available in the lobby.

The Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku has always been one of my favorite places to stay when I need a hotel in Tokyo. Everything is perfect there; location, staff, cleanliness, rooms, services,etc. It leaves absolutely nothing to be desired (unless you expect something unrealistic of Tokyo hotel room sizes). I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. I have stayed […] there several times and I'm sure I'll stay there again soon. Don't pass it up...I actually think they're finally starting to realize how awesome it is because the prices are finally starting to creep up ^_^ Anyway, its still a great price and a great place to stay.
