The hotel itself was average. The desk staff were very polite & courteous. Our only complaint was housekeeping, or lack thereof. We left our room at 10:45 am and returned at 9:30 pm. We had removed the "do not disturb" sign when we left so the maid would clean our room and provide fresh towels, coffee, etc. We were surprised when we returned to discover […] our room had not been attended to. I had to go to the front desk and was told houskeeping said we had the "do not disturb" sign posted. I explained we removed it when we had left, but apparently housekeeping at this particular Comfort Inn only makes one pass thru. At my request, the clerk gave me some clean towels. We have stayed at many hotels and NEVER experienced this lack of service. So sorry, no more Comfort Inns for us. Læs mere

The hotel was located right off of I5 that took us right to the Carnival cruise line port. Very friendly staff and comfortable rooms. Good value for the money.

Very small room,extremely small bathroom,broken elevator,but good breakfast,friendly staff,no extra roll on bed for my five years old,very pricy compare to the location and the shape of the hotel.

There was a warm and friendly atmoshere to the hotel. The room was comfortable and clean (although the cleaning products they use had a strong odor) The gym consisted of 4 machines, enough to do a little workout. Breakfast was nice. Comfort Inn deserves its high ratings. Outstanding is the fitness room on the 4th floor with big windows giving a view to mountains, dawn and sunset. Only 4 machines, but well adjusted and easy to use. My wife complained about mechanical noises at night, but I slept as if hypnotized.

The management at this hotel is outstanding and I dont know that I've ever felt more welcome to a hotel than I was at this one. The room was good, comfortable, no complaints. The breakfast was a decent variety, nothing special but had the basics of what most people can eat. We enjoy our stay.

Nice clean hotel, wonderful breakfast and helpful staff!

With an office in Chula Vista and El Cajon, this is a good spot to have my staff stay when they need to do an overnight in this area.

My stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites in Chula Vista was great. We were greeted with a warm welcome and smile. Our room was very spacious, with lots of beautiful, quality upgrades. We stay at this hotel every year because we have realatives in the area. The price is reasonable for the quality. We don't walk around the neighborhood or leave the hotel except by car.

Conveniently located, not the greatest area but suitable. Clean hotel with wonderful staff. Breakfast was great. Pool was clean. Highly recommended for the price.

Hotel was very convieniant location to I5 freeway. To be honest the neighborhood wasn't the greatest but the Hotle was kept very clean and the staff was very nice and helpful, rooms were very clean with a nice size refridge and small microwave. The hotel itself was in great condition and the room was very clean and comfortable. However, the neighborhood in which it was located was a bit questionable. It wasn't as "safe" feeling as in other locations. In the end, it was a perfectly fine stay.

Everyone was friendly and very accomadating.

Excellent value! We've stayed here twice now for the San Diego Comicon - love the fact the hotel is right on the train line to the downtown - super convenient! Our stay was a great experience in customer service, from the very start the Ops Mgr Carlos and staff was there to make certain that we are satisfied. Great rooms and breakfast and easy access on off the freeway, great for family travel. Would definitely recommend...

Honestly, i thought this hotel was going to be a motel status..Boy was i wrong!! hotel was great, staff very friendly and the food was awesome (waffles, eggs, yogurt everything!!! We stayed for one night only and checked in really late. The room was nice, plenty of towels, bed was great, very clean! We were a large group and the hotel was quiet, clean, friendly staff and breakfast was ready on time. I recommend this hotel compared to others in the neighborhood.

The area surrounding the Comfort Inn in Chula Vista was not terrible, yet not a great location. We heard a fair amount of truck traffic, although that's the trade-off for being 3 blocks from the interstate. The staff at the hotel were very nice. They made the hotel more like a small town place, not the huge high efficiency mega-hotel type. The breakfast […] was better than at many places, with Belgian waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, fruit, and plenty of juices. Only one elevator means waiting sometimes. The stairs are on the ends of the hotel and the elevator in the center. I took the stairs once and nearly choked on the smoke smell in the stair well. They were obviously used by the smokers who didn't want to brave the outdoors in the cool weather. As with any heater/air conditioner with the thermostat located on the unit, the temperature regulation in the room was very poor. We generally got up in the middle of the night to turn it on or off, depending on the state we left it in when we went to bed. Noise level from the heater was better than at most hotels. Due to the traffic noise outside of the window, the heater noise was soothing and tended to wash out the outside noise. The bed was pretty hard and didn't provide a great night's sleep. Our daughter used the sofa sleeper and didn't like it very much. This was by far our biggest complaint for this hotel. Overall this was a reasonably nice stay. When factoring in the price it was a real bargain. We would consider this hotel again, although I would prefer to find a place with softer beds. Læs mere

Have stayed at many hotels in San Diego and it's almost always a compromise of either paying big bucks for a nice place or going cheap and getting poor quality. This Comfort Inn is the exception ... although the price was in the moderate range, it was still a good deal. Accommodating staff and clean and comfortable room.

The hotel in Chula Vista was a very very nice hotel. The staff was extremely friendly, breakfast was amazing, the amenities were more than we expected. We were cautious since we were paying a lower price and we knew the area wasn't the greatest but we were on a tight budget and just visiting the beach with the kids. There were several cheezey Motel 6 likes around but when we pulled into the Comfort we were shocked. Its enclosed so no safety issues. The hotel was exactly as pictured on the website. We didn't get in till 10 pm. I wasn't too comfortable with the location, but everything turned out really well. The staff was very accomodating

Not in best neighborhood, but close to Hostital, and really kept up well. Liked the shopping area in hotel eith anything you would need. Breakfast was great.
