This hotel was a good average hotel, with a great location. The hotel features free parking, WiFi and breakfast. The breakfast was pretty good, a wide selection of food and drinks. It is no Ritz, but the room was clean, the service was great, and the amenities were decent. The best part is the location....close to beaches, downtown, Fisherman's Wharf....all within walking distance! There was just one tiny hiccup in my stay: the staff was pressure cleaning the pool area when I wanted to soak in the hot tub. But they were very accommodating […] and were done exactly when they said they would be. The wifi was irritatingly slow, but I'm not certain if it was my device or the connection. However, there is a computer in the lobby anyway, so I was still able to turn in my homework on time. My husband and I agreed we will definitely stay there again! Læs mere

The stay was at Ocean Pacific Lodge was great and the service was a big part of that. Courteous employees, clean room and the booking service was excellent. Keep up the good work

Overall, the hotel was good, clean. Room was large, bed comfortable, linens smelled nice and clean. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Room being serviced above us sounded like elephants jumping around up there. We asked if we could have a little extra time to check out but were told that we would be charged $25 after 11:30. This is a very clean friendly hotel located close to the Boardwalk and Wharf. It definately is one of the nicer 2 star hotels in the area. We chose this hotel because it is pet friendly, and would chose again when travelling with our pup.

we were pleased with our stay overall. It is in a good location, room does not have an airconditioning unit but the management gave us a fan which was good. Breakfast only cereal/coffee but ok.

Definitely a great choice while in Santa Cruz. Close to everything, safe, clean, etc. Highly recommend!

This place was in a very convenient location. Easy in and out. Rooms are a bit dated but if you are at the beach all day, it's fine. Unfortunately, it was raining during our stay so we probably spent too much time in the room. Great pillows!

gross breakfast setup- a joke....

I did not experience an unremarkable stay. The noise from cars in the parking lot, slammed doors, water pipes, and toilets flushing were at best distracting. I called the front desk twice to report guests standing outside their rooms yelling and making exsesive noise. Nothing was done until after 10 pm.- which didn't follow the posted notice of zero […] tolerance for excesive noise disturbance. The contenintel breakfast fell short of my expectations. I will look for another location to stay on my next visit. I expected more based on the description of this place on Hotels.com Læs mere

The motel is very conveniently located within walking distance of the wharf and Boardwalk. We booked on our mobile right before checking in and got a special discount which we appreciated. We also found when we got home that we had left our personal pillows. A message was left for housekeeping. A basic and well-situated motel which provides value for money. Helpful staff and wifi, parking, continental breakfast - all good basics

This hotel was in a convenient location, just a short walk from places to eat and the beach. The staff was way nicer then the other hotels there. i hear staff in Santa Cruz usually presume if you look a certain age you are just a local college student trying to party there or something. This hotel was different. Like the other hotels in the area, the […] outside wasn't anything special to look at but the interior surprised me. I heard they recently remodeled and the room was quite comfortable and clean looking. they also provide complimentary wifi! The only complaint i have is small, the complimentary breakfast is sort of horrible tasting but at least you can get fruit and coffee there. Læs mere

Had an excellent time there and even extended my stay. Comfortable bed and location is excellent. Walk to beach and downtown shops.

The room was great, the bed very comfortable and nice touches like a bed bug deterant on the mattress and down comforter on the bed. Very clean and nice. Only negative is the "breakfast" is probably the most mediocre I've seen at a hotel that offers breakfast. We actually went out to breakfast instead of eating the very stale cereal and muffins. It […] was all starches. The surrounding area has some nice places to eat for a budget. Ate at "burger" (1520 mission stret) and they have every type of burger (including several vegitarian choices) you can imagine. Plus some other options. We had breakfast at "Brasil" (1410 mission). A little more pricey but still good for a budget. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Overall we had a nice stay and the staff was very nice. Check for internet specials. Læs mere

I had a great stay at this hotel until I got a phone call from the manager accuseing me of takeing 2 bed sheets at the end of the bed and have been charged for them I was asked for my credit to secure anything that might be taken how ever I was not a expecting a problem and now I have one with this hotel If anyone stays at this hotel take pictures of […] your room to prove you did nothing wrong and as if your renting and wanted your security deposit back have the room sighned off by the manager or clerk or head housekeeper I wil from now where ever I stay Læs mere

The hotel was fine as far as cleanliness, and location, but the bed in our room was horribly uncomfortable. We had reserved a king size bed, but when we arrived, they had no more king rooms available so they offered us a queen with the consolation that it was in one of their "newly renovated" rooms. My husband and I are both thin, and have athletic […] builds and we were sinking into the middle of the queen sized bed. The mattress was very cheap and poorly made, even in a newly renovated room. They really skimped on the mattress purchase! It makes me wonder how bad the king mattresses are in their outdated rooms. Læs mere

It was the perfect walking distance to the boardwalk so we didn't even have to drive after we checked in.The room was on the second floor but it was perfect and it was clean.We loved our stay and are already planning on coming back next year.We booked our stay online and locked in a cheaper rate for a 4 star stay.

This is one of the nicer places we have stayed. The room rate, cleanliness and staff were great. They offered a great continental breakfast. I would come again and stay.

Great hotel located in the heart of Santa Cruz, walkind distance to warf and boardwalk. Great price, clean, great breakfast. Overall great place.

This hotel is a 90-second walk from the Wharf and a few minutes walk to the Boardwalk - with free hotel parking, this saves a TON of money you would have spent on paid parking by the beach! The room (standard king nonsmoking) was very spacious and laid out well, with the minifridge and microwave promised in the amenities description, and a Keurig coffeemaker […] as well! The wallpaper in our room was peeling, and the fridge made a loud humming noise that was annoying at first, and you could really hear anyone walking up the stairs and past the room, but those are our only complaints. The breakfast room was fantastic, with cereal, bread, toaster, microwave, fridge with milk, coffee machine, tea, muffins, and of course, the waffle makers (2). The waffles taste great and were easy to make, and there was plenty of seating in the room, as well as a TV to watch and some newspapers. We didn't use the pool or hut tub, but they were available as promised (the hot tub is tiny, though). There does seem to be some construction going on in the rooms near the breakfast room, with the workers playing music somewhat loudly with the doors open, but that's probably why we were placed in a room at the other end of the hotel. Overall would DEFINITELY recommend and absolutely return for another visit! Læs mere

The Ocean Pacific Lodge is a very nice place to stay. Good location and nice clean rooms. Having 2 separate hot tubs was a nice feature. The only downside was the breakfast area was a little dirty - but just a minor issue.

Very nice. A great value. Enjoyed the hot tub and we got a surprise with the breakfast. It was the BEST continental breakfast EVER! We will be back!

Should have known right away when we first walked in and found ear plugs next to the bed. The noisiest hotel we have ever "TRIED" to sleep in! Thin, Thin walls and right on street!!

I have stars at the Ocean Pacific Lodge 3 times in the last 12 months. The rooms are clean, well maintained, and the staff is helpful. The location is a definite plus. Close enough to wk to Cowells/Steamer lane to surf and also a short walk to either downtown or the Boardwalk. The walls are thin however, as I did have some noisy neighbors talking […] loudly late in the night. I called the front desk to complain and the noise stopped within minutes. The breakfast is ok- Waffle makers, cereal, coffee, milk, juice, and fruit. The pool is medium sized while the spa did not get ad hot as most other spas do. This is my "go-to" hotel for Westside Santa Cruz due to it's location, cleanliness, and value. Læs mere

This place was my favorite place on our trip to Cali. We stayed at hotels double, triple this price and the room here was perfect. It was very comfortable, clean, quiet with comfortable beds and the staff was very pleasant. The location was close to the ocean, wharf and ocean drives. The driveway was tricky to find at first. The breakfast could use some protein but... Would definitely stay there again.

This was a nice hotel minus the potent smell of chemicals in the room when we checked in. The continental breakfast was great and thewalk to the beach was nice a very good location.close to restaurants and a little park for the kids.
