Hotel Continental - Sirmione

We stayed at the Hotel Continental on the half-board option for a holiday week with our two boys. The hotel is located in the best possible spot of Sirmione and has a great pool and lakefront terrace. The service is superb and we were very surprised about the quality and variety of the food. Even on half board we had numerous options on a delicious […] four course menu every night. The wine list was very reasonably priced with lots of great both local and other Italian options. Great bar-area in the reception with a superb espresso and cocktail-list. The natural choice for coffe and brandy every night after dinner. The rooms were nice and clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly. We had a suite with an extra room upstairs in a big beautiful room. – Big enough to accommodate all four of us in the same room with plenty of space. We would definitely recommend this hotel for all types of people looking for a four-star + hotel in Sirmione and I am also sure we will be coming back. Læs mere

Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a 15 month old baby and they absolutely doted on her. Relaxing atmosphere.

Great location right on the lake. Plenty of sunloungers, but pool FREEZING! (even in late May). Very friendly staff and wonderful buffet breakfast. Highly recommended for a few nights in Sirmione

We enjoyed our stay in this Hotel and would stay again the location was great and it really is five minutes walk from the quaint little town. Food was good we only had B&B but you wouldn't want more than what was on offer at breadfast buffet. Staff very helpful we were very pleased all round. Chose to stay at this hotel on the basis of the positive reviews and I really felt the hotel lived up to the comments. Lucky enough to be 'upgraded' to a room with a lake view although as we had paid for a junior suite the hotel wasn't loosing out. I went on holiday for reccuperation and certainly got it here. The swimming pool was lovely and a decent […] size for a proper swim but the most enjoyable aspect was direct access to the lake from the end of the jetty. Bliss. The hotel is five minutes walk from the main square but is really peaceful. Sirmione is a charming town and a good boat service to the rest of Lake Garda. Top trip was going to the thermal pools which are right next door to the hotel and whiling away the afternoon in steaming water. Already planning my next trip back. Læs mere

Perfect in every departmentjust go see and you will agree

Sirmione is on a spit of land with the old town being at its Northern end. The Hotel is just beyond the Northern extent of the busy part of the old town so therefore away from the busyness of it's narrow characterful streets but still within a few hundred yards of everywhere. The hotel is right on the lakeside with it's own private sun terraces and […] pool and views of the boats thereon. Staff were friendly and helpful but not intrusive and our rooms was clean, tidy, functional and well equipped. Restaurant service was exemplary and the food good, although the town is full of restaurants so there is plenty of choice. As mentioned above the only slightly disconcerting thing was having to drive through the narrow streets of the old town which were thronged with tourists and visitors in order to reach the hotel. Once one realises that is the only way and you are not the only motorist doing it it's not a big deal but it certainly was a surprise to us. Læs mere

I can't praise this hotel enough. Myself and my fiance were only there for three days and felt as refreshed as if it was three weeks. The stay was enjoyable from start to finish. The location is so peaceful and the staff can't do enough for you. The dinner service and the food was outstanding and there was so much choice at breakfast. The service, position, and food in this hotel was excellent, and Sirmione itself was delightful. However one or two thoughts for improvement would be:- - offering tea and coffee making facilities in the room - considering so many UK visitors were on holiday in this hotel Sky news as opposed to CNN would be appreciated I am sure - the balcony/patio […] of our room had the bathroom of next door overlooking it and there we did not feel comfortable using it. Abgesehen vom 1. Mai Weekend (zu viele Leute, man konnte Sirmione mit dem Auto nicht mehr verlassen) ein doch erholsamer Aufenthalt.

A boys' trip to Sirmione; I and my father in law stayed at Continental mainly for my father's reccuperation. The weather at the end of September was still hot yet very soothing with breeze all day. He needed the quiet and relaxing week and we had it at Continental. We had a corner room facing the garden and an neigboring villa. Birds were chirping all […] day, well shaded from the hot september sun but a nice sun down in the afternoon. Not necessary to have always a lake view from a room is my advice. A plenty of tables and chairs around the hotel with gorgeous view of the lake and you just sit and read newspapers or books with drinks during the day. The room cleaning was perfect, twice a day by friendly house keeping personnel. We had a half pensioned package and dined every evening there. Good variety och choices in a menu. We especially enjoy wines which were recommended by a smiling head waiter - very good wine selection! Fredrica who served us every evening...she is a gem - quiet but efficient with beautiful smile. Thank you Fredrica! My dad loves you. ;-) Everyone at the dining room, bar, reception were courteous. Thus I give Hotel Continental near five stars status. Waren zu Gast an Ostern 2011 für 4 Nächte. Von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute unseres Aufenthaltes hervorragender Service in einem Hotel mit einer herrlichen Lage: direkt am See, 5 Min. Fußweg in´s Sirmioner Altstadt-Getümmel. Parkplatz am Hotel. Lecker Essen - lecker Trinken - super erholt in einer leider viel zu kurzen Zeit.
