Et godt og flot hotel med pool for hele familien og en afslappet og venlig betjening. Stort at man kunne sidde udendoers på hotellets restaurant og at vinduet kunne åbnes for den friske luft. Vi havde ogsaa gavn af fitnessrummet og computerne der stod fremme til vores raadighed

Hyatt Place Milford ligger i Milford og er tæt på Westfield Connecticut Post Mall og Silver Sands State Park. Ekstra attraktioner i omegnen er bl.a. New Haven University.

"Loved it!"
Very spacious and clean! The only issue was that I froze as the a/c unit was right by the bed and by the time I adjusted the temp and it "took" damage was done, have a bad cold but I loved the room and hotel!
The allocated times for breakfast need changing.The way the staff quickly close down breakfast at 9.30 sharp should be amended.If a guest gets down late it's bad luck.It would be better if they packed up at 10am.

I had expected a complimentary hot breakfast and was disappointed to learn that the hotel wasn't yet offering it. The complimentary breakfast was, in fact, very disappointing — sugary cereals, white bread, donuts and sweets, yogurt, fruit. "A great choice..."
Hotel is very modern. The pricing was very responable. Rooms were clean & spacious. Staff was very courteous & I'd def stay here again!
This hotel has a "wow" factor upon entering the lobby and room. The rooms are very large but not practically set up. The sink/bathroom area are at the foot of the bed so, if someone wants to shower/shave, it's impossible to sleep with the noise and lights. Also, we lost an entire night's sleep because of a "regular" guest's loud party...police had to […] be called. The only thing offered by hotel staff was a "sorry." Breakfast area is cramped and food items are mundane. Sunlight streams into lobby in the morning and because the desk is so low, front desk staff have to bend over to write and see computer screens. Staff were very helpful in steering us to dinner. Although we were not satisfied with our service at the restaurant it did not affect our stay at the hotel. They were extremely sorry we did not have a good dinner and made up for it with a night cap. "decent hotel, terrible service."
The hotel itself is just fine. Convenient to I-95, right behind a mall. (Although the hotel also happens to be located right behind a somewhat unsavory truck stop and a store called the Luv Boutique.) The rooms are clean, but our bed sagged on one side and the room was musty, probably due to the fact that it's impossible to shower without getting water […] all over the bathroom floor. My issue with this hotel is that they tried to put a $200 hold on my check card for their "smoking fee" without actually telling me -- they just took the card & tried to charge it. When I asked how much they would be holding for incidentals, he told me the amount & I asked if he could hold less, since my boyfriend & I were only staying one night. He told me he'd hold $50. I said okay. Two days after I checked out, $100 came out of my checking account. I had not incurred any incidentals during my stay. When I called the hotel, I was told it was taken out 2 days after checkout due to "bank lag time" and the amount taken out was $50 per day and maybe the person who checked me in didn't know that. This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, they should keep their customers informed of exactly how much money is going to be held on their account. Especially if they are going to attempt to hold $200. I will not be staying here again, and I wouldn't recommend it since this behavior is downright shady. The location is okay, and the rooms are okay, but there are plenty of other hotels in the area that hold more reasonable amounts for incidentals and actually communicate with their customers about them. "Will seek out the next time I visit New Haven"
Although it is a 15 minute ride to downtown New Haven, it is well worth the trouble. The room is exceptional for the price and I would expect to pay more. The room is generous with a sitting/desk area. The building was quiet and well insulated from outdoor noise. The furnishings were all in excellent condition and good quality. The bed was firm, the […] way I like it. The breakfast was disappointing as there were no hot items. I did see some guests with scrambled eggs, which I guess could be ordered and I presume for an additional charge. I went to New Haven to get my hot breakfast. But hey, I don't expect much from a continental breakfast to begin with and when there is a good one, I look at that as an unexpected bonus. I usually seek out a cheap place to stay but decided to stay here as it wasn't that much more than less expensive places. "good business hotel"
very spacious suite arrangement with new furniture and fixtures. Quiet location (even near the elevator did not prove to be noisy). Two small concerns: one was a verbal dispute in the hallway between a man and a woman, though cannot blame hotel staff for that and it was quickly brought to an end. The second issue is one for Hyatt corporate: the quality […] of the towels was cheap and of a synthetic blend that doesn't truly dry and felt thin and as though made in a third world country. "Nice, modern, close to retail."
Our stay at Hyatt Place was nice. The front desk girl wasn't rude but was't friendly either. In fact everytime I saw what the front desk was doing they looked like they were always ignoring the guests and surfing the Internet. It doesn't take that long to say hello. The hotel itself had a clean modern feel to it. Very basic layout in the lobby. The […] fitness room was minimal. Two treadmills, a bike, an elliptical. No tv, but had a water cooler. The pool was basic and very small. The complimentary breakfast was just like what you would find at any cheap hotel chain. Dry cereal, canned fruit, coffee, tea, packaged bagels. Ok, the rooms now. The first thing my girlfriend and I noticed was the smell in the room. It smelt like feet, mildew, and stale air. The smell never left during our stay, so it's most likely a smell that is engraved in the carpet or walls. Otherwise, the room had a nice layout. Tv was a generic HD screen full of grainy bits. The bed was comfy, and the shower was hot. The refrigerator was actually a nice addition, but was noisy and had a buzzing and humming that sometimes woke me up in sleep. I have had comfortable stays elsewhere but I took advantage of a weekend price. An attraction is probably the distance to nearby stores and the Westfield Mall. Other than that, the hotel is average, or maybe a smudge above average. Maybe they were just tidying up before a busy season, maybe they just hired new staff, because I wasn't impressed by the service necessarily. It's was a nice place to stay, but I don't feel like I would pay to stay here again. The negatives were the smell of the rooms, the absent minded staff, and the noisy refrigerator/heater. "405 s.f. & very clean"
405 s.f. of space (very spacious); very clean; huge (50+inch) TV; fine breakfast; free newspapers (US Today & WSJ). My wife and our teenage children really enjoyed the room.

This is a fabulous hotel for business travellers. The staff is friendly and attentive to your every need. There is a very nice gym located almost directly across the street that allows hotel guests to use for $5 per visit. There are many options for food outside of the hotel within a short drive including a Whole Foods that has healthy take out. Inside […] the hotel there is 24 hour access to food and a coffee bar. "Hyatt Place Milford --- New * Affordable *Comfort!"
My wife and I have been to this hotel twice now. We just wanted to take a night away alone without the kids. Both stays have been wonderfully consistent. I can remember my first impression each time walking in the front door to the lobby. The wonderful smell throughout the lobby, and the 1st floor. It smells "like" they have candles everywhere. And […] since this hotel is modern and remodeled, it registers in your mind that you are staying in a clean hotel. The staff is always friendly, and willing to help with anything. We normally get a slice of the wonderful cake that they have in the lounge area to bring to our room. The king size rooms are very big and comfortable. Love the huge flat screen TV (which you can conveniently connect your laptop to if you bring a HDMI or VGA cable), and the free wireless internet. Only thing I would recommend the hotel to add would be a double sink in the bathroom. My wife and I always get in each other's way when we are getting ready to go out for a night on the town. Before we go out for dinner, we always go to the oversize hot tub on the first floor. So far we have always had it to ourselves. It's nice and clean and has a little view. Just wish that we could turn up the heat on the hot tub. Then on our way out in the morning we enjoy the complementary breakfast in the small cafe area they have. The breakfast is always fresh and filling. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! You will not be displeased with your experience. Læs mere
"Hyatt in Milford, Ct"
We travel a lot and had to come to Ct to help an elderly relative. We were pleasantly surprised with the Hyatt. We have stayed in much more expensive hotels and this was much better. We were there during a snow storm and the place was neat and clean. All the employees were wonderful and helpful. We would highly recommend it to everyone.

"Great Value, Great Rooms"
We stayed 3 days around Christmas. Very nice rooms. Only 1 front desk guy was friendly & down to earth. The lady that checked us in didn't even give us any indication about what amenities or where fitness/whirlpool/ice were located. Had to come down to find out. Housekeeping lady did not speak English & did not honor the "green" policies. Had to go […] thru the front desk to communicate with her to get towels that were not originally replaced. The breakfast mixed fruit was mushy & tasted gross but the rest of the breakfast was great – happy there was granola cereal. Randomly, our smoke alarm went off at 9pm but the staff quickly took care of the problem. :) The whirlpool was the size of a small pool. :) Fitness room lacked weights but was very modern. All in all, a great value & very nice comfortable rooms for the discount price online. Læs mere

"Hyatt Place in Milford, CT"
Really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed over New Year's which involved some noise issues (fighting, profanity outside, police calls, etc) but that's not the hotel's fault. We were on the bottom floor next to the parking lot which didn't help. Will probably ask for a more private room next time. Otherwise GREAT!

The hotel was nice and attractive on the outside and in the lobby. They made the mistake I feel of purchasing heating units that roared when on, thus making it very difficult to hear the TV or music from my laptop. My room had water to seep in from the outside after a heavy down pour. I was on the first floor. The rooms are a very nice size. The housekeeping staff maintains the cleanliness of the rooms well. The front desk staff are not as professional one would expect. They were friendly, but slow. One of the employees actually spit into a small cup while he was standing behind the desk.

My husband and I just arrived home from visiting relatives and staying at the Hyatt Place in Milford Connecticut. We enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. When we return for our summer visit to visit family we will be staying at Hyatt Place in Milford.

"close to shopping mall"
Only about one hour and an easy drive to Mystic and the casinos, we had a high quality room at a reasonable rate. I will stay there again
"Beautiful but noisy"
My wife and I were traveling and Milford was a conveinient stop over. We were very impressed with the lobby and the room. It offered more services than we needed. We were looking for a clean, comfortable place to rest before continuing our drive. We stayed three nights in this newer hotel and were pleased with the Hyatt-light design and amenities of this less expensive alternative to the regular Hyatt Hotels. The front desk staff were friendly, but they seemed a bit pre-occupied with other jobs, such as tending the bar and after hours food preparations. Room was clean and spacious with a novel […] layout that worked for us. The only real problem was the uncomfortable fold-out sofa bed, but I have never seen a comfortable one, so it must go with the territory. "Convenient to shopping, rail station and New Haven"
Our end destination was a university in New Haven but the local hotel rates were pricey. We happened upon Hyatt Place through Hotels.com and found the rate reasonable and reviews favorable. Over a three day/two night stay, we took the rail system into New York, shopped in the immediate area and visited the university campus, a short ten minute drive […] away. The hotel staff were both polite and accommodating (allowed us to check in early after a 19-hour drive and immediately replaced a burned out light bulb in the bathroom). Our room was clean and the beds comfortable. The fitness room was equiped with cardiovascular machines all in good working condition. Continental breakfast included coffee, juices and milk for beverages and breads, cereal and oatmeal. Very pleased and would recommend to anyone seeking to stay in close proximity to New Haven. The hotel was beautiful, new, and very clean. They have a huge screen tv in every room, complete with digital plug-ins (so you can play your devices through the tv - bring your hdmi cable!). The room was the size of most NY apartments, with its own sitting area (which included a pull-our sofa). The staff was very nice and helpful as well.

"Great Hotel!"
My fella and I stayed at this hotel during the 4th of July weekend and was very impressed. The room was very comfortable and clean, and we were especially appreciative of having a large, functional sofa we could flop on when watching TV. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful and check-in was prompt and relatively simple. The hotel is behind a […] large mall with lots of shopping and restaurant options as well as a movie theater, and very close to a main road that has tons of options for entertainment. The decor was very clean and simple and sleek. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will most likely end up booking this hotel again. I do have a few criticisms, however: They tried to put a $200 hold on my credit card for incidentals, which is a little outrageous compared to other hotels I've stayed at. The hotel clerk was happy to hold $50 instead of $200 for me, though. But be prepared for that if you stay here. The hallways and elevators were extremely hot due to not being adequately air conditioned, and the AC unit in the room was extremely noisy. I also wish the complimentary breakfast was available a little bit later. Being up and ready to go get breakfast before 9:30am is kind of a bummer when you're on vacation and would like to sleep in. But those are (mostly) pretty complaints. I'd recommend stay here, especially with the great hotels.com rates! Læs mere
