Ixchel Beach Hotel - Isla Mujeres

God standard uden at være luksus. Utrolig venligt personale. Fint værelse - dog savnede vi en altan. Hotellets klare fordel var den perfekte beliggenhed ved øens skønne Playa Norte. Stranden er meget børnevenlig og ren, og man får håndklæder nede på stranden - dejligt og praktisk. Byen er så lille, at der på trods af hotellets lidt afsides beliggenhed […] er der alligevel kun 2 minutters gang til gode restauranter mv. og 10-15 minutters gang til færgen. En helt igennem positiv oplevelse. Hotellet ligger perfekt ned til en pragtfuld strand, og med udsigt til den daglige solnedgang. Swimmingpoolen og servicen ved denne var fremragende. Alle byens gode restauranter og butikker ligger inden for bekvem gå-afstand. Betjeningen i receptionen og rengøringen var upåklagelig. We stayed in a 2-room suite and it was very comfortable. Pretty much anything you could possibly want in the suite and the decor was excellent. The hotel grounds aren't fantastic - the pools are very small and the beach front is somewhat small for the hotel's size, but that's because it is right on the most popular area of the island. If you really […] want a sense of culture, stay elsewhere on the island, but if you want convenient access to North Beach and the main pedestrian stretch (Hidalgo St.) this place is a good option. We were there for 2 nights and the hotel staff was amazingly nice and the hotel is conveniently located near (literally steps away from) the beach and Hidalgo Street, which has restaurants and bars. The room was very spacious and the showers were nice. The one big BUT, was that the beds were hard as a rock. They are placed on hard slabs of concrete. […] Both my husband and I had cricks in our necks from sleeping on them. Glad we were able to lie out on the beautiful beach to heal up. Accommodations (1 bedroom suite) were very comfortable, location was perfect, on a beautiful, calm beach, and staff was helpful and offered suggestions for restaurants and activities on the island. We enjoyed the pace and atmosphere of the town, which was a block from the hotel.

great beach .. nice rooms ... very, very responsive and friendly staff! Great place for couples or families.

Book another hotel. Here's why. I traveled alone and they first said that I can have someone else in my room if my guest gave proper i.d. When we went to the desk to do so, they then changed their mind and said I couldn't have any one else in my room. I felt like they treated me like a 12 year old child. The next time they changed their minds again […] and said I then could have guest. Make up your mind people! You have to stick your head out the window to see the view from the Ocean/Standard room. I had issues at the reception desk several time. I got attitude and was told they would be up to my room in 5 minutes, which ended up exceeding an hour. I couldn't wait any longer so I just went to the desk myself. As for room service, I cam back with the comforters all over my luggage. Looks like they forgot to finish making the beds. Weird. Not worth the money even it`s right on the beach. We had pre-paid 6 nights, and that`s way we stayed the hole time. Our room were only cleaned properly and towels replaced 2 of the days.. Rest of the time we didn`t recive fresh towels, or the garbage wasn`t emtied, or the room was not cleaned at all.. And that`s not what none should expect for this […] pricerange.. Ixchel had the best staff you could ever have. The hotel is at the end of the strip with great access to the beach and all the joys of shopping and food in Isla Mujeres. Our room was kept pristine throughout our stay and the staff was knowledgeable, considerate and friendly. I have stayed at several hotels on the island and overall. Ixchel is the best, […] by far. Hotel onthe small size. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very nice Ocean front and easy access. Air Conditioning works Very Well!!! Overall I would stay here again.

The West wing and the East wing of the property are completely separate management. We didn't know that before we arrived and stayed in the East wing. We had read the reports about the loud music from the disco in front of the East wing, but we could hardly hear any music and it wasn't a problem at all. The location of the hotel is perfect. We stayed at this property 3 years ago and had such a great experiece that we came back. This time around we have a 17 month old and we travelled with another family. We had problems when we checked it, the hotel didn't have the Two bedroom penthouse that we booked for the 5 nights. They only had 3 nights. We were not happy. Next, on Fri, Sat and Sun […] nights there is a nightclub on the beach that plays until 4:00am. If you don't mind not sleeping, then I would say stay at the hotel or choose to stay on a non-weekend. We will be back, but will not endure another sleepless weekend with the loud music. Tne location is perfect and the value is surpassed any other hotel in Isla Mujeres. Læs mere

It took three tries to find a room that was not musty-smelling, or un-airconditioned. But finally, we found one and it was delightful. The management was very kind about us not accepting the first three rooms. Ett väldigt bra hotell med perfekt läge,underbar poolrestaurang/bar och bra rum. Försök att inte bo på 5:våning och uppåt då man störs av ventilationen på taket. Vi var tvungna att byta och det blev lite strul med det hela. Förutom detta var det jättebra service och perfekt semester.Rekomenderas varmt.
