Marriott Leicester - Leicester

A good modern hotel, well run and with well fitted rooms plus one of the best hotel gyms. It lacks a bit of atmosphere, but then it is essentially a business/conference hotel. We went at the weekend and although the basic room rate was attractive, the extras were not! Ok but potential for more, says it all, not bad at all but could be realy good. One of the best Marriott I have stayed in to be fair. But still lacking a bit of warmth.

Well maintained and comfortable hotel. Staff are attentive. I chose to have the full breakfast via room service - it was huge I could onlly manage half. The only down side of this hotel that I found was that on wanting to have a nice relaxing bath after a long day this was not possible as the bath was both very short and narrow. Fantastic Hotel- stunning rooms, great pool and spa facilities. Only downside is the children's swimming lessons that are there everyday. Food was delicious and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

Actually Leicester needs a good hotel as it's a nightmare finding a decent one in the area Very comfortable room, room service was fantastic and not too bad price complared to price of hotel Breakfast was also fantastic - stayed in my room all night so cannot really comment on ambience or gymn

Excellent service, Beautiful clean and spacious rooms for all the family. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Always stay here when we visit family in Leicester.

I have stayed at many Marriotts around the UK and Europe and whilst this one has the same level of facilities as the others it just lacked a certain something. There was no buzz or atmosphere found in other hotels of this brand. We paid bargain rate and got a spacious but lifeless room on the second floor with light fittings that buzzed when switched […] on and bedside lights that were impossible to read by. The fridge was noisey and had to be switched off in order to get some sleep. The TV selection was like being abroad with only a handful of UK channels despite the advent of freeview etc. £5 to park your car and £10 a head for breakfast arn't to bad compared to others but this place has very little to offer the leisure traveller as it is in the middle of an industrial estate. It does however have good connections to the M1 Motorway and nearby businesses. The best part of course is the fabulous Marriott bed which is of course the most important part of anyones stay. Hotel in leicester was close to city centre, national space centre, abbey park and restaurants. Breakfast was not included and was expensive per person. Pool was a bit cold and changing rooms a bit mucky. So a little disappointed. But rooms were nice.

A modern hotel, yet relaxing and comfortable throughout. An excellent well maintained swimming pool, very quiet during my two stays

Conventient for the motor and quiet. The food was very good and reasonably priced for the set evening meal. I don't like being charged extra for parking my car - it should be included in the price. The level of service throughout was excellent

Don't ask for a taxi and expect it within half an hour. Had to ask 4 times for an update - the five minutes given on the first instance must have referred to another time-zone. Apart from that - excellent hotel & plesant staff.

A welcome drink was offered on check-in, this was a great idea. The ambience in the atrium style bar, with it's 'feature lighting' proved very relaxing. All round high standards

This is the best hotel we have stayed in within the UK. The room lay-out (2 double beds rather than the usual 1 plus pull-out) made all the difference for our daughter. Breakfast was great - especially the omelets come with our recommendation. Eventhough it was busy, with a business conference taking place, we got served quickly. The leisure facilities […] are very good - the gym is well equiped, the pool is large enough to "really" swim and the sauna and steamroom rounded off a couple of relaxing days. We will certainly stay in the hotel again on our next visit to the Midlands. Læs mere

If you have a reason to ve in Leicester or vicinity, this is a great convenient place to stay.

When you stay in a big chain hotel, you often get facilities and luxuries at the expense of personal service. Not so at the Leicester Marriott. The whole team made our family feel welcome from start to finish, from the reception desk to the restaurant and leisure club. Our 8 and 5-year old were treated like individuals and behaved, in response, like […] special guests. Although the location is a bit desolate, in a new development on the edge of town and certainly not in walking distance of tourist attractions, we found this was a great base for a two-night stop in Leicester, visiting the National Space Centre and the National Forest. The hotel has a huge atrium in which you can eat comfortably and unfussily as a family - the kids menu is excellent value. At 1.2 metres, the pool was too deep for the children to stand in, but the rather luxurious appointment of the leisure club made up for that. If there was one 'extra' we'd have appreciated, it would have been a kids' channel on the television - freeview CBeebies or CBBC would have helped during the periods when you just need to check email or make a phone call. Clean, modern, good facilities, quality rooms, excellent breakfast. Good location just off the motorway. Friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended.

The hotel was a surprise actually. It was very new and clean and the service was great.

Hotel was welcoming when we arrrived and room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Staff were attentive and most pleasant. We needed to leave our car in a safe place for a few days prior to arriving and hotel immediately agreed to this when approached. All staff were good humoured and pleasant to deal with.
