Just one comment. Some stains in carpet and wall of the room. Everything else was clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast. Great service. Good location. Room 212.

While a bit expensive, the room was large and well maintained. For some reason Hotel's in Europe do NOT provide wash clothes; soap and towels but bring your own wash cloth. The hotel restruant was overly expensive and portions were small. I was on the first floor street side facing the train station and it was very quiet. Ideally situated for seeing […] the Town of old Maastricht, only about 5 min away by foot, and nice to get off the train and walk directly to the hotel. An english speaking receptionist was on duty at ALL times, however be aware teh hotel does NOT support collect calls, you CAN dial a toll free international number for .90 euroes per call Læs mere

The Amrâth Grand Hotel is positioned right across the road from the bus terminal and the train station. Double glazed windows help keep the noise out and the room was clean and a good size. Its an easy walk to everything in town and the staff were very friendly and helpful with any query. The only downside was that I reported that the fridge in the […] room was not working. The juice and food I put it in it went off overnight and had to be thrown out. 3 times I reported it and although the friendly staff said someone would have a look it was never fixed. I checked into this hotel for two nights. When I arrived to my room I felt like I was in bad Flowers in the Attic movie. The room was very old, the carpet ran half way up the wall to create a border and was badly stained and dirty. I would not have walked bare foot on this carpet for all the money in the world! The room reminded me of a bad dorm room […] with twins beds with the box spring showing and low ceiling. The safe in the room must have been the first room safe ever invented, old and outdated like everything else in this room. The room had two twin beds with a night stand in the middle. My guest and I preferred to sleep in the same bed so I called down to the front desk and ask if there was a room with one large bed. She told me that all the rooms had twin beds. After examining the room I noticed that the bathroom was recently remodeled. The bathroom didn't look like it could be part the same hotel room. On my way out that evening I ask if there was another room we could move to because this room was the pits. I was told that the hotel was completely book, but I could come down the next day and change rooms. The next day I called down to the front desks and ask if there was a room available for me to change to? The front desk person said I must come down in order to change rooms. I then pack all of my belongings and head down to the front desk. When I arrived at the front desk I was told that there were no rooms available and that I could check back later in the day. WTH? I explained to the clerk that I just called and was told there was a room available for me to change to. The lady said she didn’t know who I spoke to. After a minute of explaining the conversation, the other clerk finally says she told me there were rooms available, but none ready. ARE YOU SERIOUS? After a minute of this nonsense I told her this situation was out of control and I wanted to check out. She said she could call housekeeping and see if there was a room ready. Hoel is in desparate need of updating. AC room was booked, but AC was not working. Fortunately the night finally cooled off and there was a fan in the room. ( our first clue the hotel knew AC was an issue) Carpet and furniture were old, stained, and in need of replacement. I would not consider this hotel as a 4 star. Once checked in, we were given option […] of eating breakfast the next morning. We were charged $17 E each and th breakfast was ok, but not worth $17E. Go down the street to a local cafe and get better and cheaper fare. Would have been nice if the hotel informed us of this charge rather than not say anything at time of booking. Hotel is close to train station which was important for us, but not very close ( 15-20 minute walk) to tourist shops, restaurants etc. based on this property, I would be hesitant to book at any other Armath hotel locations. Hotel opposite the station and bus terminus so front rooms might be noisy, however our request for a rear room at checkin was fulfilled with a smile. Great location for train travellers like us and handy for the bus to Aachen, too. It is an easy walk into town for shops and restaurants and for sightseeing. Our room was a little tired but clean and […] spacious with a mini fridge and window seat. The hotel main areas were well kept. The pool was a bonus after a day of sightseeing although the changing areas and pool decor would benefit from updating. Disappointingly we were unable to try the sauna as it is not kept heated during pool opening hours. There is an additional charge for the sauna and it is only available if booked in advance for individual, 45 minute slots, removing the option of a spontananeous ten minute session on returning to the hotel after a tiring day out. Breakfast was excellent, with a very good selection of cold continental buffet and hot cooked food, (the mushrooms were particularly tasty and eggs are cooked to order) breads, cakes and even chocolate sprinkles in three flavours! Hotel is extremely convenient for getting around Maastricht. Staff were very courteous and helpful. There's an excellent bar in the hotel that serves good quality food. Only downside I can recall is that I asked for one light to be repaired on one night and then two others the following night, none of which was done during my stay. The hotel was very pedestrian friendly enabling you to walk every place you needed to go. Vehicle traffic was minimal and large walkways and bicycle paths were everywhere. Lots to see for a small town.

This is a Hotel of two halves. The reception area, bar and restuarant are first class ,unfortunately the rooms we stayed in are not to the same standard. We stayed in a standard double room which was located to the rear of the Hotel. The room was adequate but would really benefit from a refresh. The facilities consist of a swimming pool and the same […] comment applies as per the room. Breakfast is expensive so I would avoid unless you get it built into your rate, we didn't. There are an abundance of cafes just round the corner that serve good food for considerably less money. Overall a good Hotel slightly let down by the bedrooms. Chambre glauque mais personnel sympa

Fraai gelegen, goede voorzieningen in het hotel m.n. binnen zwembad. Helaas wel wat achterstallig onderhoud. 2 lampen die niet functioneerden, na melding bij receptie, niets aan gedaan tot mijn vertrek (2 dagen).Personeel vriendelijk maar niet echt gastvrij.

dommage que l'accueil n'est pas très "sympathique" ... et en effet, le parking est cher mais aux alentours aussi : 2,60 e l'heure... sinon, facile, juste en face de la gare de Maastricht !

nous avion coût pour la nuit et sommes arrivé avec une journée d'avance, alors que sur le net le prix était le même pour cette journée, ils nous ont facturé le prix fort , faite donc vos réservations par mail !!!

Wir waren zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und nett. Die Lage ist auch gut. Das Frühstück reichhaltig. Besonderes Plus "Die Qualität des Abend-Essens (Rieu 3 Gänge Menü) war überragend gut", die Weinempfehlung auch. Aantal sterren meer dan waard!Prima service,ruime,gezellig.e launge,knusse bar. Ook de ligging tov het station is gunstig en ook tov het centrum zeer goed beloopbaar. Wat ons betreft een prima hotel voor een paar dagen Maastricht!

Mooi hotel. Douche min puntje, vriend van 190 cm kon niet onder de douchekop staan. Ontbijt hebben we bij AH- NS Station tegen over het hotel opgehaald. De garage in het Hotel is klein. Het zwembad is gedateerd.

Wij zijn een week geleden naar het Amrath L'Empereur geweest in Maastricht. Nadat we waren ingecheckt bleek dat we een standaard 'rokers'kamer op de eerste etage hadden gekregen, met vrijwel daglicht. Terwijl we een deluxe kamer hadden geboekt met als voorkeur twee eenpersoonsbedden. Na wat onenigheid bij de receptie hebben we een andere 'normale' kamer […] gekregen. Leuk uitzicht over het station. Helaas wel veel schimmel in de badkamer en een vies maandverbandzakje op de vloer. Het ontbijt daarentegen was super! Het hotel is prima indien je met de trein naar Maastricht komt. Anders zou ik u echt aanraden een ander hotel te nemen gezien de prijs/kwaliteitverhouding van het Amrath. Læs mere

Tvers over gaten for jernbane- og buss stasjon. Hotellet var ok bortsett fra selve rommet. Gammelt slitt rom oppunder " loftet" med lite vindu. Badet var nyoppussett og veldig bra. Hyggelig betjening. Gaten utenfor gikk rett over til sentrum med mange restauranter.

Uitstekend hotel recht tegenover het station en op 5 minuten lopen van de binnenstad. Erg vriendelijk personeel. Uitstekend ontbijt en gezellige bar. In de omgeving veel kroegen, eetcafé's en restaurants. Ideaal om Maastricht te verkennen/bezoeken.

l'hotel a un parking sous terrain payant à la nuit qu'il est imperatif de prendre car les parkings autour sont tous payants (plus chers qu'à Monaco!) Charge supplémentaire à prendre en considération !

The bathroom was too small. The shower was inside the bathtub.The double bed constantly drifted apart. The air-conditioning was very noisy. The walls in the hallway were dirty. Everything else was perfect.

El hotel esta exactamente en frente de la estacion del tren, asi que si se viaja por este medio, esta seria la mejor seleccion. Asimismo, desde el hotel al centro de la ciudad, donde esta todo el movimiento de la misma, no hay mas de unos 10 agradables minutos caminando.

mit Fenster zum Hof, daher sehr ruhig. Liegt sehr Zentral, alles ist zu Fuß erreichbar. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter.

Negativ: Fugen im Bad in den Ecken schwarz, Abfluß im Waschbecken braun (Kalk), Klimaanlage gab Geräusche von sich, die sich nicht abstellen liessen. Deshalb frage ich mich, wie 4 Sterne als Bewertung gegeben werden konnten.
