Vi var meget tifredse med hotellet, en af de pæneste jeg har boet på i London. Flot, stort og rent og meget rimeligt i pris, og ufatteligt centralt lige over for stationen Gloucester Road i hyggeligt kvarter i Kensington. Vi fik først værelse med dobbeltseng, men da vi var to veninder, spurgte vi om de havde et twin som bestilt - og fik så det fedeste værelse, dobbelt så stort, ingen støj, kæmpe badeværelse - virkelig god service og hyggelig hotelbar og lobby. Ville klart anbefale det og bo der igen.

Det ligger tæt på the tube, både Lancaster gate men også Paddington. Ikke noget prangende hotel, men hvem kan også forvente det til denne pris.

Værelset var rent - og meget bekvemt med det lille køkken. Dog savnede jeg mulighed for filterkaffe, der var en lille stempelkande, som efterlod kaffen med meget grums, næste gang tager jeg egen filter og trakt med. Jeg var heldig med stort vindue ud mod vejen. Jeg nød meget at være på værelset. Der er ingen lounge eller fællesareal, men venlig betjening fra den lille reception under trappen. Beliggenheden er perfekt, på stille og smuk vej, og Notting Hill Gate og alle nødvendige butikker lige om hjørnet. Jeg kommer igen.

The Clarendon ligger i London og er tæt på Bloomsbury Square, Russell Square og British Museum. I nærheden er også Royal Opera House og Covent Garden.

University of London og British Museum tilfører Bloomsbury en lærd atmosfære. Charlotte Street byder på gode restauranter, og på Tottenham Court Road finder man elektronikbutikker for enhver pengepung samt forbindelse til de 300 forretninger på det travle Oxford Street. Det fine kvarter Soho ligger nogle få minutters gang borte. Det er fyldt med lokal karakter, spændende pubber, fine restauranter, West End-teatre og et righoldigt, undertiden dristigt, natteliv.

Dejlig roligt hotel med sød betjening. Vi synes dog morgenmaden var for dyr, fordi man kan købe det til den halve pris ude i byen.

Min datter og jeg var særdeles tilfredse med vores ophold og hotellets personale strakte sig virkelig langt i deres service og hjælpsomhed. Jeg vil absolut booke mig ind på samme hotel næste gang jeg skal til London.
"The Clarendon..."
Er et godt beliggende hotel. Tæt på Russel Square Station. Situated i et roligt kvarter. Personalet er meget venligt, og mit værelse kan jeg ikke klage over. Dog fik jeg et værelse i bunden hvor der ikke kom meget lys ind fra vinduet. Men ud over det så er indretningen fin. Især er toilettet rigtig flot.

"Meget centralt"
Hotel Clarendo ligger meget centralt i London. Teet på Underground og gå vej til centrum. Hotel værelset var stort og fint. Det ende minus var radiatorerne som trængte til en støvsuging. De fleste hoteller i London setter først på varmen i begyndelsen af oktober, så der kan måske vare koldt på værelset. Meget tilfreds med hotelet.

This is a very convenient hotel just a block or two from the tube station to Heathrow and the British Museum. We had a large and comfortable room at a basement level. It is a quiet and stately area, with parks at both ends of the street. I would stay there again.

Very comfortable room. Lovely bed, good shower, good location for theatre district. On the down side, our room was on the ground floor facing the street so there was some noise , and also there is no parking if you bring a car. However, the hotel has a deal with an underground carpark 100m away. Breakfast not included in our price and it was about £20 […] so opted to eat out. In the area north of Holborn, handy for tubes, buses and getting around without too much trouble. Hotel comfortable, people nice and room selected had a kitchenette - very handy. My husband and I stayed at the CLarendon for one night in January 2012. We were warmly greeted at check in and given a free upgrade to a deluxe room. Our upgraded room was enormous by London standards, sparkling clean, and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was a large black and white marble tiled room with a very big tub. The only detraction was that the bed was more firm than we generally prefer, so sleeping was a bit uncomfortable, and the windows do not block out the noise from the busy street below. We always travel with ear plugs, so the noise wasn't an issue for us. If you book this hotel just be aware of the firm bed and make sure to bring your ear plugs! Breakfast was not included in our rate and was very expensive, so I can't speak to the quality of their food. This excellent hotel next to British museum proved to be good value for the money. Breakfast is a bit expensive, but that is no problem since the area has a lot of nice small cafés that are open in the morning.

Not a bad hotel in not a bad place so I shouldn't say too many bad things about it. But I had one of the worst nights sleep here. They 'upgraded' me to the basement (which was nice) but beware if you get the same privilege. The location of the hotel is perfect! Central but quiet, and only 2 minutes to the British Museum and Russell Square tube stop. "the Hot and Sweaty Clarendon"
Title says it all.. An extremely small room (207) With only a small portable fan to cool down a sauna. The cleaning of the room was okay, but the topping up of the refreshment tray was non existent. So a 3 night stay with only 2 tea bags, just a little substandard. Will not be rushing back to The Clarendon.
Found the lovely room was spoilt by the constant noise overhead

Fabulous location (very close to Holburn & Russel Square tube stations), lovely hotel with sweet & helpful staff. We got upgraded unexpectedly for free to a room with a King size bed (we'd booked a normal double in advance) which was a pleasant surprise. Bathroom was fantastic - so nice to have a decent sized bath with shower over. It was all tiled […] too which made it a cool retreat on such a hot day, to freshen up. Bed was very comfy. We stayed on a Sunday night and the hotel was so quiet during the night, I wasn't woken up by any other guests in the corridor - very unusual but welcome! I'd definitely stay here again. One thing though: breakfast VERY expensive but you're a stone's throw away from Southampton Row & Sicilian Avenue which both have a number of eateries so I'd check out that area unless you're loaded or you don't mind your company picking up the bill! The Clarendon is one of many "boutique hotels" in a whole block of hotels. It was very nice, and the staff was very kind to us. We had a toddler and they provided us with a "baby cot" (i.e., pack 'n' play) and a room upgrade, as the room we booked was way to small for the cot. The rooms were very nice! Our only problem with the hotel itself was the […] very narrow hallways and only one lift (elevator) for the whole building, but those problems are minimal. Recently stayed in a "family" room at the Clarendon Hotel - impressively large for a London hotel, with a king-sized bed and full-sized sleeper sofa and room to walk around; however, there was hardly any dresser/drawer place for clothes, just the closet and some bedside tables with small drawers. "Clarendon - Comfortable, Clean, & Good Service"
Perfect location for our overnight stay in London. Room was in basement but still bright. Nice shower and comfortable bed. Service was great and they had no problem keeping our bags while we went sightseeing. Good location and only a short distance to Covent Garden.

The Clarendon hotel is very close to British Museum and just few minutes walk from underground station. Our room was kind of small one, but clean and cozy. Breakfast was not included and was quite costly if you decide to have it in the hotel. It's a very good choice if you are in London for few days as a tourist and use the hotel just to sleep.
